a filthy knight, -and I hope you have one too

As the Bard said, a consummation devoutly to be wished. Wink

Bitey night, my dear.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/12/2011 01:02

I was rather proud of that one.

Bitey knight indeed. Until tomorrow.

SuperXmassiveLBD · 10/12/2011 13:13

Afternoon, ladiez. How are we all today?

I hope tempers are not being frayed by all the seasonal tasks that have been foisted on you by your nearest and dearest.

I can recommend someone who knows how to deal with pesky DCs

The sun is out here for once. Hope it's not too bad where you are.

DumSpiroSperHoHoHo · 10/12/2011 13:57

How are we all today?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh

That is all.

VictorianChristmasVamp · 10/12/2011 14:03

Me too Spiro!!! Aaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh!

Here gizzy take my Vampboy with pleasure!Smile

DumSpiroSperHoHoHo · 10/12/2011 14:09

I'd go for 'Here, Gizzy, take me it's my pleasure!' Grin Wink

SuperXmassiveLBD · 10/12/2011 14:15

I just got a family history mail list message in my inbox asking people to contribute information for a Thornton family database... They are going to do DNA, the lot.

I nearly linked them in to this Xmas Grin

SuperXmassiveLBD · 10/12/2011 14:17

Gizzy, take me it's my pleasure

Mine, too. In fact I think he'd have difficulty keeping up with all the requests.

GoldFrankincenseAndTwiglets · 10/12/2011 16:17

Hello!

Sorry I couldn't make it last night, hope you had fun.

How are our lurgified people feeling today? Spiro, was your aaaaarrrggghhh one of feeling poorly or of annoyance? (or both!) Hope you are ok.

How is your weekend going, Vampster?

I had an hour's round trip to try and find a particular wine I wanted for Christmas Day, to no avail. But I was accompanied by the delightful Lord Rule. I think he may be overtaking dear Jasper as my audiofave. Spiro, do you take requests? I think your next fanfic* should be a less genteel version of Horrie's card game at the ridotto Blush

Lordy, I still haven't read SNT or the latest JP one! Forgot all about it duie to single parenting; so sorry! I know it will be fabulous though, they always are :)

DumSpiroSperHoHoHo · 10/12/2011 16:38

Hi Twigs.

About the same level of lurge, slightly sore throat, slightly achy but okay in myself. We have got a couple of really nasty bugs going round at work - one cold/flu and 1 d & v and after my nightmare Easter I am totally paranoid that I'm going to get one or the other or both in time for Christmas hols.

Miss S was complaining of tummy issues earlier, but fingers crossed doesn't seem to have developed into anything yet (touch wood).

Otherwise, every plan I had for doing things this weekend has gone to hell in a handcart. Was planning to do wrapping last night & tonight, and to drop Miss S at dancing this morning by car and take some photo frames back that I needed to exchange.

Instead she dragged her one and only 'baby' doll out of retirement and wanted to walk. When we got there, the caretaker had locked the dance teacher out so we had to go to the leisure centre who had a spare room. We managed to get a lift but I then had to stay for the duration which messed up my plans and then with Miss S feeling under the weather she wanted me at home this afternoon so still have a pair of useless picture frames until Friday.

Got no wrapping done last night as felt iffy (and was having fun on here!), and have slightly got the hump with Mr S who was out last night and has invited a bunch of new people round to play cards tonight who aren't coming until 9pm so no lie in for me today or tomorrow.

All in all just lots of minor irritations all happening at the same time - nothing unusual really, but could do without it at this time of year.

Was thinking of something I wanted to do the other day and working out when I'd get the chance - I'm guessing about the second week of January at the moment!

DumSpiroSperHoHoHo · 10/12/2011 16:40

...and I'm not sure I like my Christmas tree decorations but can;t decide whether or not to change it all Confused!

SuperXmassiveLBD · 10/12/2011 16:56

I just found the link where you can vote in that poll you mentioned yesterday. Spiro.Just a bit of fun, I know.

Sorry you had a frustrating day. My lot are all obligingly out and will be back late.

Do you want me to send Gizzy round to deal with the Twig offspring?

GoldFrankincenseAndTwiglets · 10/12/2011 17:36

Sounds a very frustrsting day, Spiro :( Christmas always seems to end up like this, doesn't it? Getting nothing done is so annoying. And of course it's harder for you as you work as well. And there always seem to be extra non-Xmas things to do too! eg. a load of eBay stuff I sold recently has caused nothing but problems and Christmas is too busy to add extra jobs to the list! How come Mr S's card game means you don't get a lie-in tomorrow, btw?

Could you take the picture frames back tomorrow? Loads of shops are open on Sunday here...

Thank you, Massive. DrT got home late last night so single parenting is finished. But I could leave the kids with him and you could send Gizzy round to deal with me instead? Wink

SuperXmassiveLBD · 10/12/2011 17:48

you could send Gizzy round to deal with me instead?

You'll have to take a number, I think, Twigs. His services are much in demand, for some reason.

I bet you were glad to see Dr Twigs!

GoldFrankincenseAndTwiglets · 10/12/2011 17:57

You'll have to take a number, I think, Twigs

I have a number in mind... Wink

SuperXmassiveLBD · 10/12/2011 18:48

Oh, Twigs! Xmas Blush

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/12/2011 19:21

Good grief!

SuperXmassiveLBD · 10/12/2011 19:24

Evening, Maud. If you have any information for the Thorntonn genealogical group, I volunteer to pass it on.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/12/2011 19:29

I have plenty of information, but I'm not sure I'd care to share it!

HarrysCuddlyChristmasJumper · 10/12/2011 19:33

@ Twigs' number Grin Grin Grin.

I only popped on to say how fine Harry MkII looks in tails, although he doesn't smoulder in quite the way Gizzy does.

Can't wait to catch up with all the vids from last night once I've finished the PILs' Ruby Wedding cake.

SuperXmassiveLBD · 10/12/2011 19:37

Is it a Red Velvet cake, Harry?

HarrysCuddlyChristmasJumper · 10/12/2011 19:45

I wanted it to be but MIL asked for a really rich chocolate cake I've done for her before so I had to go with that, sadly.

Just been reading an interview with Lovely Gareth and this jumped out at me: Funnily enough, I?ve been reading a book recently called The Singing Neanderthals. It suggests that men who can sing and dance make better mates. I kind of like that idea.

Me too, Gareth, me too.

GoldFrankincenseAndTwiglets · 10/12/2011 19:52

Yay, my very first facepalm!

Harry was fab tonight - he danced to I'm Just Wild About Harry :)

GoldFrankincenseAndTwiglets · 10/12/2011 19:53

Anyway, I was thinking about number 1 ie. first in the queue. I don't know what you were all thinking...

HarrysCuddlyChristmasJumper · 10/12/2011 19:54

That can not possibly be your first face palm, Twigs Shock. You've only had 1 in over a year?
