Well, it's about time.

Now all we need are furnishings and decorations...Wink

Note to other Academicians

Don't do a Google image search for leather kilts when the kids are looking over your shoulder Shock Blush

I did immediately imagine leather kilt Spiro not that I've got a one-tracked mind and all thatWink But I was so amazed to find one of him in a kilt of any sort - not entirely convinced that the white kilt look suits himHmm But show us him in a leather one and I think I may be persuaded!!Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 20/11/2011 09:38

Oh and - what on earth comes up while googling leather kilts?! ConfusedGrin

Well good morning all, this is a rather elaborate commune isn't it, I think the builders might have used the wrong scale rule as it's a bit bigger than I anticipated.

Today we are going to see the local Christmas lights and maybe do a bit of shopping, homework is all done without fuss and the Small it's are not fighting so all is well in the world.

PassTheTwiglets · 20/11/2011 11:44

Well you would know all about scale rules, wouldn't you Smallio? Wink

Sounds like you are having a nice morning, that's good. We are going into town too and a Brucie Bonus as we found some Tesco vouchers we didn't know we had, so we are being FORCED to go for lunch at Cafe Rouge. As for the homework being done and the non-fighting children, well that's never going to happen Chez Twigs!

So having never heard of that Moves Like Jagger song until it was mentioned here a few weeks ago, I am now obsessed with it and have had it in on loop in my head since about 4am.

TheSmallPrint · 20/11/2011 13:31

Not heard Moves Like Jagger til recently? Shock have you been living in a cave??

TheSmallPrint · 20/11/2011 13:33

Yes Twigs, I know my way around a scale rule alright and that's the second time recently that things seem to be oversized.

DumSpiroSpero · 20/11/2011 14:23

that's the second time recently that things seem to be oversized.

Oh, well...never mind. Grin

Seriously just how accurate is that scale rule? Hmm Wink

I just don't hear modern music these days! I never listen to the radio so don't tend to hear anything new...

DumSpiroSpero · 20/11/2011 17:32

I make cooking the roast every Sunday coincide with the chart show at 4pm. I usually dish up at the beginning of the top 10 but by then they've discussed what's going up and down so much you have a good idea what number one's going to be.

I usually check out the Top 40 online every few weeks to see what I've missed and download my faves.

You'd never guess I spent several of my teenage years working in a record shop would you? Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 20/11/2011 18:07

I used to obsessed with the Top 40 and for years as a child I wrote them all down in a book. I was a geek :) Must be more than 20 years since I've listened to it though! In fact, I didn't even know it was still going. Perhaps I ought to make an effort...

DumSpiroSpero · 20/11/2011 18:18

Miss S has been sat in the kitchen with me working through a book on English for Ages 7-9 (grammar, punctuation etc).

She has now reached a point where I'm having to check the instructions if she asks me a question. Blush

It's been 5-7pm on a Sunday for as long as I can remember - well over 20 years.

TheSmallPrint · 20/11/2011 19:09

It's been that time for 30 years! Listening to it now as it happens..

TheSmallPrint · 20/11/2011 19:12

Can't open that Maud but he certainly has some smooth moves.

DumSpiroSpero · 20/11/2011 20:27

For a scary moment then Maud, I thought you'd dredged up that ancient and even worse than the kilt high school dance routine...

OP posts:
TransylvanianVampiress · 20/11/2011 20:33

He certainly had some fabulous moves in my dReAm last night kilt or no kilt wasn't paying much attention to what he was wearing!! Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 20/11/2011 20:37

Oh stop showing off Vampy! Wink

I must admit my LoL is suddenly coming along quite nicely - Adam Levine has just been promoted to No.2 spot!

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 20/11/2011 20:43

Hmm see I'm not sure about Adam Levine, sometimes he looks OK but sometimes he looks Rough.

PassTheTwiglets · 20/11/2011 20:49

OK, I've never even heard of him. I feel old now. But I've just Googled him (oo-er Mrs) and he's not bad.
