Well, it's about time.

Now all we need are furnishings and decorations...Wink

[grin]@spiro!! She may have some truth but like mrS, the colonel only has a brother and works in a predominantly male-only environment! He does ok! did dress up as a school girl for his stag do though come to think of itHmm. But that was his best man's idea!

DumSpiroSpero · 23/11/2011 18:33

Mr S is beyond clueless - you couldn't find a better example of the Martian sex if you tried.

::Staggers in::

Hmm. The Bloke has a sister and went to a mixed school but I'm not sure that helped although he is quite metrosexual.

SupermassiveLBD · 23/11/2011 19:02

Same here Maud wih MrM, but I couldn't call him metrosexual by any stretch of the imagination. Smile Not with all that footie.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/11/2011 19:02
SupermassiveLBD · 23/11/2011 19:04

Where did Mansfield Park come from, Maud?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/11/2011 19:08

It came from the fact that I've had a very long and trying day at work, and used MP as a search time to find that rather, ahem, arresting vid, and my brain - which has a finite capacity at the best of times - can't process two thoughts at one. I did of course mean The Mayor of Casterbridge.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/11/2011 19:10

::searches for gin::

TransylvanianVampiress · 23/11/2011 19:12

I first read that MrS was the perfect example at Martian Sex!! Mind boggled at what on earth you were letting slip for a moment there Spiro!!! Some kind of weird tantric activity only taught in male only schools! ConfusedGrin

SupermassiveLBD · 23/11/2011 19:13

Here you go, Maudie Wine Wine Wine

And of course James Wotsisface is in The Mayor of Wheresit

SupermassiveLBD · 23/11/2011 19:16

Hmm I wonder if James's granddaddies came over with William the Conk? That surname looks very Norman.

Meanwhile I now need to take a dose of RL. BBL

TransylvanianVampiress · 23/11/2011 19:22

Interesting my googling earlier brought up a connection between N&S and MofC in the face of Ben Crompton - was that not who you meant Massive? Are there really so many actors who have been so blooming lucky talented that they are shared screen/air time with RA?!HmmGrin

TransylvanianVampiress · 23/11/2011 19:28

Right children in bed, the Colonel at hockey - think I'm going to get a glass of Wine which I unfortunately had to open to cook supper with and watch what I want on the television!! Smile

I'll no doubt keep popping back in here because I am addicted!Smile

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 23/11/2011 19:29

Yes, exactly, Massive. I had completely missed the 2003 version of The Mayor of Casterbridge - although I loved the one with Alan Bates - but noticed it starred James Purefoy and remembered posting that ::cough:: interesting vid before.

PassTheTwiglets · 23/11/2011 19:45

Oh Vampy, can I have a swig of that Wine? Not enough Points left to have some today and we are trying to go without from Monday-Thursday (though we usually cave on Thursdays!) but it's been a looooooooong day. I had to rush straight from school to about a zillion shops, in each of which the 'D'Cs behaved appallingly, then MissT had a haircut whilst TwigBoy spun all the chairs around and generally made a nuisance of himself. Then we had to get some new shoes for the Boy and there was general appallingness again there and we came out with no shoes anyway.

PassTheTwiglets · 23/11/2011 19:45

Oh and now I have to go and do painting in the bathroom. Je suis exhausted.

TransylvanianVampiress · 23/11/2011 19:54

Here Twigs Wine Have to say it is rather yummy!! The Colonel brought home a brace of pheasant on Monday from work as you doHmm and he plucked them etc last night, so we're having pheasant casserole if he ever gets home from hockey and i'm still sober enough to heat it all up!!Grin

You are so good doing painting in the evening - I'm always too tired, but I think I better go and get on with the angel costume - better keep the Wine away from it though!

Sure I had something very irrelevant and dull interesting to also say but I've forgotten! Here more Wine anyone! Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 23/11/2011 19:59

Ah yes I've remembered!! something I can only tell you as the Colonel would hit the roof probably be a tad embarrassed if I told anyone in RL!Grin

Last Friday he came home from work saying that he hadn't eaten his grapes that I had lovingly given him for lunch, as they were in his bag, which was behind him leaning on his cupboard and he was trying to not get up and walk around too much (2 days after his little op). To which Vampboy goes: "Do you have a wheely, spinny chair, Daddy?" The answer to which was yes, so Vampboy goes completely matter of factly and seriously; "why didn't you just spin your chair around and wheel over to your bag and then you wouldn't have had to get up to get your grapes!!" Vampgirl and I couldn't stop laughing and the Colonel was rendered completely speechless!!Grin

Don't you just love being outsmarted by a 4 year old!!Grin

LadyDamerel · 23/11/2011 20:36

::flops on chaise longoo and accepts large glass of Wine::

Phew. I'm not sure I'm cut out for full days in school anymore. I'm jiggered Grin. Inspection is half over; the inspectors didn't come into any of the classrooms I was in, luckily, although I'm in again tomorrow so there's still a chance.

Vampy, I was a teacher before I had MasterD1 but haven't taught for 8 years. Now all the MiniDs are at school I'm trying to regain some of my long forgotten skills Hmm by helping out at their school. I do 2½ days a week, basically being an unpaid TA with a view to becoming a paid Higher Level TA either there or another local school at some point in the not too distant future.

Twigs, put the paintbrush down and come and join in!

SupermassiveLBD · 23/11/2011 20:43

Painting, at this hour? i call that masochism dedication

The MOC connection I saw was Johdi May.

LadyDamerel · 23/11/2011 20:51

It was the Jodhi May connection I spotted too, Massive. What's the link with James Purefoy and the other chap?

SupermassiveLBD · 23/11/2011 20:53

Search me, LadyD Grin

LadyDamerel · 23/11/2011 20:54

Phew, we can sit in the dunces' corner together Wink.

SupermassiveLBD · 23/11/2011 21:04

I told you I was pants at this connections lark Grin

While you are here let me tell you, as a fellow Gizzy fanatic admirer, that I finally took the plunge and ordered S2 RH - only to be told there is a two to four week wait on it Sad Sad Sad Sad

LadyDamerel · 23/11/2011 21:07

::drags Massive into the entrance hall::

I've found one of the answers! Ben Crompton was Inspector Mason in N&S, now we can say we knew all along.

I think James Purefoy was just an excuse for Maud to post half nekkid footage of him a red herring.
