Mummybarrow - any chance you could put a photo on that blog post so I can pin it to my Pinterest account? Love it and want to make the scones and Pinterest is where I keep all my kids ideas!

10 pickled bums now stuffed into a jar

This was the title for one of my blog posts about a year ago. Since then it has received a huge number of visits, and still continues to a year down the line. Please note these are not real bums!

Thought I'd share it with you, here's the bog into: The idea to replicate miniature bums and stuff them into a jar could only have come from one very bizarre kitchen. Needless to say the owner of this particular kitchen had a strange relationship with food. Her food was extraordinary, but you always had to ask what was served up on your plate.

Thanks cyberfairy oh happy days, how I don't miss sitting on that cold draughty station every morning waiting fr a train which may or may turn up.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/10/2011 08:21

My blog post this morning is also about a station, and is another of my embarassing experiences

PetiteRaleuse · 27/10/2011 10:24

And a second one - Daily Mail making stuff up again

' Now, I?m not some ignorant townie ? in fact, I myself grew up on sprawling country estate that wasn?t all that dissimilar to Downton and so the various subtleties of the interactions between servant and master in the series speak volumes to me.' Care to elaborate MmeGuillotine???

MmeGuillotine · 27/10/2011 10:39

Haha, well you know what they say about a dinner of herbs being better than stuffing your face with gold plated caviar? That. I don't really move in those circles any more, thank goodness but I do, on occasion, at least TRY to remember that I was brought up to be at least vaguely ladylike. ;)

I'd blog about it but I like to maintain a veneer of mystique. ;)

JoanneMallon · 27/10/2011 13:24

I just posted about the time we made a chocolate turd So, crafts and profanity, that's about the size of it.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/10/2011 14:39

I have nowhere else to share this so here will have to do. I've been busy this week setting up new blogs. One is about everything French which I started posting on yesterday - each day a different theme and something random from each theme. That one is just for fun.

I'm keeping up with my rantng of course as I enjoy it so much. And I'm putting the finishing touches to my coaching blog/site. Not going to prmote either of the new ones on here (as they aren't MN Blogger network) but those of you who follow me on twitter, sorry in advance for all the tweeting i'm going to be doing over the next couple of weeks.

I'll shut up in two weeks as I'm going away for a few days.

Angel786 · 27/10/2011 16:27

So, why is it, when you have a baby EVERYONE has an opinion on EVERYTHING - things that drive me nuts and how do you cope?

I'd love to hear about your experiences and how you cope!

PetiteRaleuse · 27/10/2011 17:01

Awful isn't it Angel -have commented and refrained from turning my comment into a rant

Angel786 · 27/10/2011 17:26

Wink there's something reassuring in knowing we are not alone petite thanks for the comment!

SouthernandCross · 27/10/2011 17:41

Half term is sucking it out of me this week. Here's my banality for a wet Thursday.

MmeLindor. · 27/10/2011 18:09

Hello, am back from PILs and looking forward to catching up on your blog posts. My blog was offline for 2 days while we were away, but seems to be ok again now. Was quite cross with webhostinghub.com as they were slow to answer my emails.
