The Principal

Get well soon Maud!

Weren't there three Tubular Bells eventually? A definite superfluity.

I was rather disappointed, just, when I googled OMD and found it didn't mean anything at all, really. I always felt it must be Deeply Significant.

SupermenacingLBD · 23/10/2011 23:33

Sex is enjoyable ? Shock

Why was I never told that? Confused

SupermenacingLBD · 23/10/2011 23:36

BTW I have just seen that cupcakes is not well, she has a thread in Chat

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 23/10/2011 23:53

Sex is enjoyable ?

I'm just going by what I read in the magazines in the doctor's waiting room, Menacing. Another area (like dieting) where I have theoretical knowledge rather than personal experience.

Off to look at Cupcakes' thread.

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 24/10/2011 00:45

Poor Cupcakes.

And woe is me. was on Strictly but Lovely Rory has been booted off. Aww.

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 07:29

Morning all. TwigBoy awake since 3am and just threw up. So that's our half-term screwed. Oh joy.

TransylvanianVampiress · 24/10/2011 07:58

Ooh poor you twigs and twigboy! May just be a one off? hopeful emoticon>> How's his HFM?

Sounds like you need dr Alec for the week!Smile

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 08:02

Do you know, I'm so tired and fed up lately that if Dr Alec were to come round I'd probably just give him a list of housework chores that need doing :)

I hoped it might be a one-off (he keeps coughing so thought it might be that) but he threw up some water too so must be a bug :( I just feel so sorry for poor MissTwigs, she was so excited about this half-term and we had so much planned that we now can't do. She is beyond excited about 2 Halloween parties at the end of the week and I bet she gets it in time for those too.

His HFM is almost gone.

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 08:03

Aside from anything else, what the hell are we going to doooooooooooo all day?! Trying to keep the kids apart is hard - maybe there's no point in doing that as long as he doesn't directly sneeze on her or something?

TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 24/10/2011 08:10

Twigs can you call on any school friends to have her so her week isn't a total washout?

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 08:14

I don't think so, Small. I wouldn't like to ask as she might be germy too and there's only really one of her friends where I know the mum well enough to ask - but she has 3 of her own!

DumSpiroScaro · 24/10/2011 08:25

Have you got more than one loo? I always allocate one for the lurgy-carrier and the other for everyone else.

I have to admit it has never worked yet but it has to be worth a try.

DumSpiroScaro · 24/10/2011 08:28

Oh, and I had a dReAm about Gizzy last night!

He and Marion were very happy and in the throes of being married by Connie from Spooks who appeared to have come back from the dead and transmogrified into the Vicar of Dibley. Marion was then off to work as an MP while Guy unpacked the very nice 'pop art' style tea set they'd been given as a wedding present Hmm Confused!

OP posts:
pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 08:59

We have just in the last week got a 2nd loo Spiro, yes. I've not caught a sickness bug yet, I don't think so I fully expect it to be my turn to catch it this time!

Confused about your dReAm! :) Not quite the sort of Gizzy dream one would want but I guess it's better than nothing!

DumSpiroScaro · 24/10/2011 09:09

He was very handsome and very happy in it which was sweet Smile.

Will keep my fingers crossed for you with the germ-avoidance techniques!

Have just seen that cupcakes is already on the mend a bit.

TransylvanianVampiress · 24/10/2011 10:15

Grinat gizzy dReAm!! Amazing how our minds work I always think!!

Tis hard having ill children over holidays - mine don't always get each others germs so you may be luckyConfused and miss twigs may get out to her parties.

Will your parents take her? Or too worried about cross contamination?

Hmmkids are listening to 1970's children vinyl records!! Slightly different to what kids today would subject themselves too I'm sure!Hmm.

Off into my castle archives now! Emotional outpouring totally expected! So bear with me and lots of distRAction necessary please......Confused

Glad our dear Founder is getting better. Smile

TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 24/10/2011 11:02

Spiro it sounds like you brain has merged RH, Spooks and VoD all in to one neat little package there Grin. At least he was happy.

Twigs, do you have any anit viral hand gel (not anti bac)? I always go slightly mad with this when anyone is carrying a V&D bug , hope you and Miss Twigs manage to avoid it. And Dr Twigs of course!

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 11:08

I've not heard of anti viral hand gel, Small. Will see if DrT can get some on his way home, thanks. On the plus side, I'm getting loads of Christmas shopping done online :)

I doubt parents will have her RP, no. Good luck at sorting through all your stuff. I have a lot of stuff in my parents' loft and I'm tempted to tell them to just chuck it all whilst I'm unaware what's there. If I sort through it I'm bound to want it all!

TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 24/10/2011 11:45

I got it in Boots, just a little local one so shouldn't be any need to go to a big store.

Actually I went into Boots yesterday and started picking up all the pressies and then put them all down again and thought 'I'll do this online that way I don't have to carry them around with me and also I can get money back'.

^ Up here for thinking...

DumSpiroScaro · 24/10/2011 11:47

Anti-viral stuff sounds good - must have a look for some next time I'm in the chemist.

Have only just started to think about Christmas shopping, although don't have to do much thank goodness.

kids are listening to 1970's children vinyl records!! Slightly different to what kids today would subject themselves too I'm sure!

Did that with Miss S a while back - 'The Mouse, The Bird & The Sausage...' - happy days! Grin

Oh Twigs, woe is you, what a crying shame. Sad

And Spiro, ROFL @ your Gizzy dream. I may go on snorting down my nose about the Stupid Girl, but I would be very very happy for him if she did show sense at last and his wishes came true, the poor lamb, he wants it so much, bless him. even though I would be as jealous as hell

Can't stop though, I have things to do before my lot come home. BBL

DumSpiroScaro · 24/10/2011 11:54

I can actually make sense of most of that dream - in fact all of it (have just realised where the tea set came from).

So far I've found a dried bridesmaid bouquet from my wedding over 10 years ago! Lots of letters which I'm tempted to just bin without reading as I obviously can't remember them! Although lots will be from the colonel while he was away on operations in the early part of our relationship so that would be interesting!! Lots of 1980's make up - ooh the colours we used to wear back then!!Grin.

Right better get on - getting firm looks from the colonel for slacking! Can't believe what a hoarder I was! Obviously take after my father and had a lucky escape marrying an obsessive minimalist!!Grin

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 12:31

Oh keep the letters for your DD to read when she's older!

TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 24/10/2011 12:59

Hide them under your matress so he doesn't know you still have them. Maybe not the flowers though Hmm Grin
