How did the cake turn out, Spiro?

Looking at the woman in the background, it's freezing there. In which case, the PLFW is well 'ard because he's just in a t'shirt. Although, to be fair, he is a proper Northerner so he's bound to be.

Cake is ok, Menace. I expected it to have a much stronger flavour, so did not have quite the wow factor I was expecting, but to be fair I didn't use all the syrup. Still yummy though!

I wonder if there is a way of intensifying the flavour of the cake, then... some sort of liqueur, maybe?
