I am taking advantage of being 7 hours behind GMT to start this week's new blog posts :)

Starting with my comforting, yet decadent Chunky Vegetable Chili with Dark Chocolate

Perfect for a chilly autum evening meal and it was a huge hit with both the adults and the kid in my house. I hope you all enjoy it as well.

Looking forward to your blog posts everyone!

Also loving Mme G's recent posts and accompanying eye candy! Rawr!

I've just blogged about knitting jumpers (sweaters) for penguins - poor ikkul schmoos are a bit featherless because of the oil spill, so need to wear jumpers. Details in my blog!

God, will you lot stop drooling over MmeG fabulous posts and get some bloody blogging done.

You are a troublemaker, MmeG.

Here is mine. Raising Multilingual Children

ShirleyKnot · 20/10/2011 14:50

I can't stop laughing at that TheGoktor.

FlamingoBingo · 20/10/2011 14:52

MmeLindor - I have been blogging - all ready for tomorrow morning - but I'm also meant to be doing work on my BF book and sexy men are keeping me from it Hmm

MmeLindor. · 20/10/2011 16:46

What would you have done if your husband had brought home a diet book the day after you gave birth?

Poor Carla Bruni (there is a sentence I never imagined writing)

MmeLindor. · 20/10/2011 16:46

The Goktor
LOVE the penguins. So sweet.

PetiteRaleuse · 20/10/2011 17:08

MmeL I couldn't resist joining that bloghop - here is my contributionon raising bilingual children

TheGoktor · 20/10/2011 17:11

I love pingus too! Amato mio just read my blog, and came over all smooshy! :-)

Thank you for tweeting about it MmeL, and I am glad it made you laugh, Shirley!

As for MmeG's men....fans self!

Oh, and on the subject of bilingual children - my father was Venetian (British mother), and there isn't a day goes by when I don't wish that I'd been brought up to speak both languages. It's so much harder when you're a grown-up, especially when people say things like, "Why can you not speak your own language?" like you are an idiot or something (only Brits ever asked me this, and I do speak Italian and even a little Venetian now)!

GraceWhoIsTired · 20/10/2011 17:12

MmeL Very much agree with your multilingualism thread. In my (still very limited) experience, it's already lot harder than it seems.

I've just posted a Bridget Jones type moment about being totally scatty and disorganised about returning to work, and worrying about my bum looking big...

Witchthis · 20/10/2011 19:44

Catching up. Dreaming of vanity fair frolics now WinkWink

PetiteRaleuse · 20/10/2011 19:50

MmeG you have turned the MN bloggers into a bunch of naughty pervs. I hope you feel very ashamed of yourself. And I hope you have thought up another fix for us for tomorrow, else you might well be facing la guillotine Grin

MmeGuillotine · 20/10/2011 19:57

I've saved the best until last. ;)

ScatCatShoo · 20/10/2011 20:29

MmeG, loving your book. Wish I had bought a paper copy to take to bed with me :)

I am posting and running today, but I promise I'll be doing a wander of all your blogs this weekend...

My new post Squash and Garlic Soup just perfect for chilly autumn evenings. Enjoy!

breadfortheboys · 20/10/2011 20:45

Did someone say Johnny Depp?

PetiteRaleuse · 20/10/2011 20:53

Johnny Depp. Colin Firth. Everyone who makes us go is on Mme G's blog right now!

MmeGuillotine · 20/10/2011 21:07

Ooh, thanks Scat Cat! :D xxx

I feel like I have led you all astray today! ;)

Tonight's post should please fellow fans of The House of Eliott - Jean Marsh's original novel for the series is being reissued on the 2nd December. :D

I've been in Birmingham today as part of a parents forum to find out more about meningitis, the symptoms, the impact of the disease itself and vaccinations available. The opportunity came through writing my blog so I've done a quick post today whilst some information is fresh in my mind and there will be more to follow once I've had chance to recap over the day. I think it's information we all need to know.

You can read the first installment here:
www.iamtypecast.com/2011/10/meningitis-forum-quck-catch-up.html

If anyone has any experiences or quotes they'd like me to use then I can incorporate them into any of my follow-up posts. Just let me know.

DeliriousTante · 20/10/2011 21:46

My mum keeps commenting on my blog in a trying to be cool way. It's bringing out the teenager in me! I just want to say 'oh mum, you are so lame!' but she is very pleased with herself so I won't!

PetiteRaleuse · 20/10/2011 22:42

Tomorrow, I'm going to rant about the Gadaffi thing, but I'm too upset tonight to write rationally (not that he's dead, just the way and the how and the press...)

wannaBe · 21/10/2011 00:05

hello all. I've been quiet this week - actually I have about three blog posts in construction but haven't published any of them yet.

But I wanted to do this one today about Gaddafi

\link{http://attheheartoftheopinion.blogspot.com/2011/10/death-of-gaddafi-in-pictures-do-we.html\here}

TheGoktor · 21/10/2011 00:18

@MmeG

"I've saved the best until last. ;)"

Romans!! I am so looking forward to this one! Ciaran Hinds as Caesar - oohhhhh!

And just for the record, Petite, MmeG has absolutely not turned me into a raging perv.....

.....I've been one for most of my life! Wink

TheGoktor · 21/10/2011 00:21

@ScatCatShoo - I adore BNS soup, so am definitely going to give yours a try. In fact, I've already seen quite a few recipes I intend trying!

Angel786 · 21/10/2011 01:06

Petite I'm with you on the Gadaffi sentiment - look forward to your post.

Sorry all I've been slow of late due to second bout of stomach flu in as many weeks! Anyhoo babymoons and front page news Smile

purplemom · 21/10/2011 07:52

Mmmmm I love Jonny Depp, in fact even got a thing about my hubby in pirate costumes now (too much information?).
Anyway my latest is a post on how to organise your life, wierd obsessive uptight purplemum style.
