Right - nothing on at the cinema unless there is a fab new release that I've not heard about, so I might be saved from the children's film. Lion King has been re-released, but DD would cry like a baby all the way through day (doesn't do disney films, far too emotional for her!!). There is one about a Dolphin being saved, but I think I'd find that a bit too emotional to bear!!!

Argh - being hounded by the dog - he seems to ask for his supper earlier and earlier every day - doesn't he know this is me time to burn the children's tea!

Seriously though, she just can't shut up and what struck me was how strange it was that she obviously didn't fancy him - I mean come on - is she a red-blooded woman?! He just looked bemused while she kept on chatting and chatting and chatting!!

Although to be fair, I had lunch with 3 friends today and 2 of them had no idea who he or Lucas was!!!! Couldn't believe it!!

Now see I couldn't work out if she didn't fancy him or was trying desperately to cover up a little crush. There were a few comments like 'oh, you're just like me, watching in awe' when the chef chappy cut up a pepper.

Also, why couldn't she eat it if it had chillies on it? Is she allergic or something,.

I have to say, if he eats raw chillies this could be an issue for our future together. I'm really not a chilli fan...... I think we'd have to come to some sort of arrangement you know, when we so obviously end up shacked up together

Nope I like a man who can handle his chilli!! along as he doesn't actually handle it literally and not scrub his hands afterwards if you get my drift!!

so time-consuming having to boil it for the best part of a day

Slow-cooker! I left mine in there overnight and for the rest of the day and it was great - never having to check if the water is boiling dry etc.

Well he can come round to yours for chilli-based dished then RP and I'll have fish and chips that night. Then I'll have him back ta very much :)

I keep hearing this term slow cooker!! Is this some new-age fangled device?!

Although perchance it would solve the academy's tendency to burn dinner???

Miss S is now in possession of her DSi. I have never known her so quiet!

Right, that's it. I am not going to look at the confessions site again. As Spiro says, all boundaries now seem to have been abandoned. The most moving posting, I thought, was from someone speculating that because he is so kind (which is a little contentious in itself, as for all we know - although I sincerely hope not - he spends his weekends stamping on kittens) he might be able to love someone who was not physically perfect. That sounded to me like someone who had experienced or expected rejection and made me very sad.

Operation Fattie No More has not been a big success here either, but I did consciously not buy crisps to go with my lunchtime sandwich. I like the idea of a building sculpted in cake. Perhaps I could commission this in Victoria sponge?

The first thing Lucas asked for on his way home from Russia was fish and chips, Biscuits!

Oh and Maud I should imagine your sponge commission would be perfectly doable - might be better in a madeira sponge though as it's a bit more robust than victoria :)

As I am officially The Only Person On The Planet Who Has Never Seen Downton Abbey, I couldn't say. But obviously, I am tremendously grand and aristocratic and live in a palatial abode.

Tis funny you should say that biscuits - for a while I thought Maud might be the Queen having some down time with us mere mortals through the power of MN. Can't imagine her being able to admit to Philip that she had a crush on ouR mAn!!
