Jason was smokin'. In the dancing sense. I just love to see people ripping up the dancefloor.

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 20:31

We did have the older series of Strictly on at one time, but tbh, i don't really see the appeal Is this heresy, I wonder?

Not really massive. as long as it wasn't Matt baker and his hips!!Grin

Going off comms now for romantic meal a deux that we're both really in mood for!! Grin

Fairy nuff. I didn't see the appeal for the first couple of years, but then The Girl was introduced to it by a friend and the rest, as they say, is history. As I said, what I like is watching the transformation (or not, depending on the contestant) from clod-hopper to snake-hipped king or queen of the dance floor. Is the Island the only place not to have bought the format from the BBC?

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 20:37

Think of Gizzy eating his apple, RP, that should put you in the mood. Smile

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 20:40

I don't think that sort of dancing is very big on the island, Maud. We had the old series, as I say, on the international Beeb, which is on our cable.

I suppose the rehearsal bits were the more interesting sections, I remember now.

Grin massive. I was just reading your apple comment as an apple was stuffed into Arthur's mouth in merlin!! Had to cough to cover my loud guffaw!!!Grin

What desolate place do you live in massive? Next you'll tell me you rarely have rain and wall to wall sunshine!!Wink

Seriously though I've friends who have recently moved abroad to sunnier climes and apart from the fact it's too hot all they seem to complain about is the rubbish tv!! Thank goodness for bibliotheca de YouTube eh?!Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 21:53

Ah, but no one, no one can eat an apple quite like Gizzy, RP.

We do have rain, here, and quite a lot at this time in the year, but there is far too much rubbish telly.

OP posts:
Russianpony · 15/10/2011 22:07

I think that's why I laughed so hard - it just wasn't the same. Just not sexy not in the same league as the delightful Gizzy!!

Oh yes, you reminded me. They are now complaining of the cold. 19deg C at 7am the other day necessitated a jumper - 20deg here today this afternoon was gloriously warm for a mid-October day!!Hmm. Some people are never happy. You never hear me complaining much about everything anything!Wink

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 22:20

We had earlier seasons of Merlin on, but I lost track of it. Merlin's ears are quite twigletty IIRC. but only in a very junior league sort of way.

Not sure this will work from my phone but is the bare-chested leather-clad if you blurr your vision almost like ouR mAn young judd blokey from strictly earlier.

Russianpony · 15/10/2011 22:25

Very twigletty ears!! Quite cute I suppose but very young!!!

Better go sleeping as still have presents to decorate and cake to wrap in the morning!Grin

Want to stay here but I'm getting stern looksConfused closest I could do!!

Knight all Daffodil just cos they are my most favourite flowers! after mr T's roses obviously Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 22:33

Hmm, RP, ooh, thanks! I see what you mean, the hairdo is almost Lucasian, too, isn't it? But he isn't quite tall enough. Grin

Bitey knight, RP. It is past my bedtime too. Maybe we will have sweet dReAms of Gizzy doing the Greased Lightening number.

I have a feeling Harry Judd would fail the toyboy test for most of us, tbh. He was born in 1985 Shock.

My pointless and not that impressive claim to fame is that I know McFly's manager though.

DumSpiroSpero · 15/10/2011 23:50

anyone still around?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/10/2011 23:53

::Staggers in after an evening with Tom and the other Musketeers::

This week was the first we'd actually seen HJ (not that one, Smallio) dance as we've missed bits of the previous shows. .

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/10/2011 23:55

I'm here, Spiro. How was your evening?

DumSpiroSpero · 16/10/2011 00:00

Well, it wasn't bad - a trifle on the Derby & Joan side but quite good fun. Struggling to stay awake now though, so will say bitey knight.

How was your film, Maud?

LadyDamerel · 16/10/2011 00:04

Ooh, the other HJ on Strictly, now there's a thought.

HJ and RA on Strictly.

Head to head.

Or rather snake-hip to snake-hip.

::wobbles at the mere thought::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 00:06

Derby and Joan? Sounds like my kinda scene!

The film is a load of preposterous hokum. Therefore we loved it, especially as The Girl worships James Corden because he has been in Doctor Who.

Knighty bitey knight or soldier.

LadyDamerel · 16/10/2011 00:07

Is James Corden in 3 Musketeers, Maud?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 00:12

He is indeed. He plays the comic servant, Planchet. And I have to say that (although he far too young for me) I understood why my friend's daughters have pictures of Orlando Bloom (crazy name, crazy guy as Glenda Slagg would say) on their bedroom walls.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 00:12

How goes it with the visitation of rellies, LadyD?
