Good night, Spiro. I'm going to turn in now, before I get stuck into watching Brazil.

Sweet dreams, ladies and lurkers!

Russianpony · 12/10/2011 22:38

I'm off to bed too to sulk. The colonel is in one of his moods again!!

Yes yes yes to the dream machine - but think I'll stick to the port and cheese option rather than pregnancy or nicotine patches - seems rather extreme even by our standards!

See Maud I told you you were royalty! Afternoon tea at Highgrove!! Tis beautiful round there - used to live nearby.

Night Spiro.

LadyDamerel · 12/10/2011 22:39

I'm away to my bed too.

Night all!

Russianpony · 12/10/2011 22:45

Night everyone! Let's hope we all have some sweet dReAms tonight.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 12/10/2011 22:45

::Looks back at you::

If I were really royalty, RussianPony, I would be dropping in whenever I liked rather than going as a paying visitor! When you said yes, yes, yes to the dream machine,

SupermassiveLBD · 12/10/2011 22:55

I got distracted -- not distRActed, alas - and come back to find you all Turning In. Hey ho. I might as well do the same mysef

Bitey knight, all.

Maybe MaudBlush. No!

Russianpony · 12/10/2011 23:19

Argh my crossing out failed and therefore my comedy post!!

Best throw cat out and close up! Early night tonight!!

DumSpiroSpero · 13/10/2011 07:00

I knew exactly what your last link was going to be before I opened it Maud! Grin

Russianpony · 13/10/2011 08:12

Thankfully I had a pretty good idea too Spiro as the colonel came in the room suddenly just after I'd clicked on the link so i was able to switch the mute button before the noise started!!!Grin

Harvest festival at school this morning, then cake ingredient buying then baking for PTA cake sale tomorrow followed by that ironing pile I've still not done!! What an exciting life I lead eh?!HmmGrin

TheSmallPrint · 13/10/2011 08:23

Morning.

LadyDamerel · 13/10/2011 09:43

Morning Smallio.

PassTheTwiglets · 13/10/2011 11:32

Howdy-doody. TwigBoy still quite poorly - no idea what's wrong with him, just a high temperature. Isn't it funny how they buck up as soon as they cool down? MissT was out in the street with Nanny last night, riding her scooter up and down and I took TwigBoy out to watch them, in the hopes that he might cool down in the night air. He was sitting on my lap, moaning to himself and being all lifeless and then 10 minutes later he announced "I'm going to get my bike" and he was then zooming up and down the street! He is roasting hot though, I don't like it when they're so hot, it worries me. He was a nice hot water bottle for my bad back in bed last night though :)

Have so much that HAS to be done today but I just want to make my Christmas cake, so I am slightly sulky.

Loving the dReAm machine! Although the name does make me think alarmingly of

LadyDamerel · 13/10/2011 11:55

Hehe.

Am listening to The Siege and Robin says to Guy "I know you're alright, really". Maud's voice in my head promptly added "For an unwashed, leather-clad arsonist with homicidal tendencies."

I spend too much time here Grin.

LadyDamerel · 13/10/2011 12:08

I hate temperatures too, Twigs, especially when there's no obvious cause. I tend to max them out on Calpol/Ibuprofen, even though I know that low grade temperatures aren't actually that bad for them.

Well, the drawing room carpet has been Vaxed, well beaten and the cake for my Dad is cooling. Now I'm off to Sainsbos to stock up on booze so I survive the weekend with my folks. Whoop-de-do.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/10/2011 14:17

You missed out the psychologically-damaged, LadyDamerel.

Russianpony · 13/10/2011 14:27

Surely he's just misunderstood Maud? Grin

Poor Twigboy - hope he's better soon. Have to say that I prefer temperatures to vomiting!! Just hate sick!!! oh look the hallowe'en smileys are in!! hallowe'en sick face [henvy]!

Hope everyone is having good days?

LadyDamerel · 13/10/2011 14:33

Dammit, I knew it didn't look long enough.

DumSpiroSpero · 13/10/2011 15:32

All same as usual on the Spiro front.

Hope poorly Twigboy is on the mend soon. Quite a few kids down this way seem to have something similar so it must be doing the rounds.

Lady D I guess you'll be lying low at the weekend if you've got the olds round. What cake have you made for your dad? My Dad's favourite is Dundee cake - which is unfortunate as it's a pita to make. My mum doesn't do cooking --and even I have only been arsed to make it once^

I guess Halloween smileys mean we can have Halloween names then?

DumSpiroSpero · 13/10/2011 15:33

The 'special effects' in that post went badly wrong!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/10/2011 15:33

On the contrary, RussianPony, I think we understand him only too well!

::Goes into reverie about a certain tall, dark, handsome and glowering gentleman exclaiming "I understand you completely"::

Russianpony · 13/10/2011 16:22

May we not so much seek to be understood, as to understand, Maud!

Listen to all you domestic goddesses! Anyone fancy making some cakes for school cake sale tomorrow and sending them over to me down the ether. A yummy cake for The Colonel's birthday this weekend, would also go down rather well!!

You know those Barbie doll cakes that people sometimes make, well I thought I'd go with one along a similar idea but with this image in mind - do you think The Colonel would approve? Hmm. It is after all related to his job!Grin

Russianpony · 13/10/2011 17:00

Actually lady D how much would you pay charge to work on that man master piece cake?Wink

DumSpiroSpero · 13/10/2011 17:30

RP - if it works and the Colonel doesn't like it you can always bung it in the freezer until next September and send it over to me! Grin

Russianpony · 13/10/2011 18:25

Spiro - if it works, I'll be going into cake design full-time!!Grin Feel it might work better if I have the actual real-life figure to work with - do you think he'd oblige?? Purely for the sake of Art after all!!
