TheSmallPrint · 12/10/2011 11:10

No one in today?

TheSmallPrint · 12/10/2011 11:14

Maud I used to do BIG stuff now I do smaller and mainly residential as no-one trusts you with big stuff iif you are on your own - despite the fact I used to do the big stuff on my own but just had a bigger office to call from.

Russianpony · 12/10/2011 11:34

Hi Small! I'm around just don't tell the Colonel as I should be ironing!! Grin

And working on my website copy, but as usual I've come straight here!! [oops!]Smile

What's everyone up to today?

LadyDamerel · 12/10/2011 12:10

Well, I've had a most productive morning. My to do list included Vaxing the sitting room carpet in preparation for the parental invasion at the weekend, washing the sofa covers, stripping all the beds and baking a cake for my dad.

I have just this minute walked back in from school drop off because I stopped for a 'quick' cup of coffee with a friend. Oops Blush Grin.

Better go and do something constructive now....

TheSmallPrint · 12/10/2011 12:26

I have been at a meeting at 8.15am and got back at 11ish to answer phone message from clients who don't believe I should be able to be anywhere except sitting at home waiting for their call

LadyDamerel · 12/10/2011 12:34

Surely you don't have more than one client at a time, Small Shock. How very dare you!

Russianpony · 12/10/2011 12:40

Can't imagine you two-timing anyone Small! except Mr small in your head with a ceRtAin person! Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 12/10/2011 13:24

Well I have done some paperwork, been to Miss Spiro's harvest Hmm assembly, had lunch and now have a big pan of home-made soup on the go whilst watching George Gently.

I think this one is definitely going to tick a few boxes:

Northern accent - check
Leather - check
Getting wet - check
Getting tied up - check

Grin
PassTheTwiglets · 12/10/2011 14:03

Hi everyone! Took the boy to the zoo today and had planned to stay there all day and go straight to pick the girl up from school, but he was sooooo tired and had a tummy ache and was begging to come home at 1pm, so hurrah I'm back :) Just boiling some chickpeas and then going to lay on the bed and watch telly with the lad. And try not to fall asleep before we have to pick the girl up!!

Frasier? LOVE it. I have every series on DVD. Niles is one of the best comic characters ever created, I reckon. I really want to watch them all again but DrT isn't enough of a fan to rewatch and when I get alone-time with the TV I tend to have other priorities :)

Spiro, what a shame about the assembly being on Wednesday, boo hiss to them!

Diet not working today as we have a sudden chance of a night out (unexpected parental overnight visit). They never normally stay on a Wednesday which is a shame as that's 2 for 1 night at the cinema, so hurray, we think, we can have a cheap cinema night! but there's nothing on! So will prob be a pub trip instead. My slow cooker has a very healthy chickpea & veggie curry simmering away in it but that's not much contest when you have the chance of a meal out! If I may ramble for one minute more, this is what I really really hate about dieting - I detest having to think "oh no, it will spoil my diet if I go out tonight". I've never been very good at thinking "oh it's only one meal what difference does it make?" and instead I think "well if I'm having a meal out then I'm not diueting today so I may as well eat that bag of crisps now" #idiot

DumSpiroSpero · 12/10/2011 14:21

Hope Twigboy isn't too under the weather.

Miss Spiro's assembly was very sweet, but I've not got much done otherwise - either practically or writing wise which is all the more frustrating as I know in my head where I'm going with the next chapter now.

I am loving George Gently - the Man's not it in a huge amount, but when he is...wow! I seem to like the quirky ones don't I? Confused

DumSpiroSpero · 12/10/2011 14:22

BTW I'm exactly the same re dieting. 3lb down so far since last Monday - how long that will last is anyone's guess though.

TheSmallPrint · 12/10/2011 14:50

Did I miss why Wednesday was a bad day Spiro?? Loving your check list btw Grin

Twigs hope Twigboy is OK.

Smallboy actually has a part in our Harvest Festival play and I don't mean just as a wheat sheaf either, a proper talking part and everything

OK who does their shopping online? Can I link you a thingy which may be useful?

Russianpony · 12/10/2011 14:50

Colt just spent yesterday snuggled up on the sofa - definitely that time of year!

I've had a frustrating day not seeming to get anything useful done - but hopefully I'm at least getting somewhere!!ConfusedHmm

Dieting - what's that? Is my response this week? not going to admit I've just eaten my way through a large sharing bag of salt & vinegar kettle chips ShockEnvy

Off to get the boy and take him to the park while we wait for the girl to finish French club.

ps Spiro - nothing wrong with liking the strange ones - someone has to do it and it leaves JP and LN to me!!Grin

TheSmallPrint · 12/10/2011 14:53

RP I think you'll find you have to fight your way through me to JP and LN

LadyDamerel · 12/10/2011 15:09

::stands back to avoid the unladylike fracas over JP and LN::

You're welcome to both of them. I have a part share in Gizzy when Massive is in a sharing mood, sole rights to Harry afaik and the odd sneaky moment with MrT on the Aubusson when Maud is locked in the log shed at the dressmakers and costermongers.

Twigs, I hear you on the diet mentality. It's not a good one and is probably why I continually lose and regain the same two stone Hmm.

Well done so far though, Spiro ::hands out gold star::

Smallio, how did your flamenco shirt go down yesterday?

TheSmallPrint · 12/10/2011 15:19

OK I feel a bit of a fraud now that you all think I am Flamencoey. I have searched and found the top. It's one of those combo jumper blouse tops but the sleeves are really billowy and floraly and I am a jeans and hoodie girl. It's just that took a lot longer to write than 'frilly' Blush

here it is [[http://www.matalan.co.uk/fcp/product/fashion-to-buy-online/Knitwear/Pussy-Bow-2In1/41649&resultsPerPage=100&attrList=Dept,brand don't laugh]

TheSmallPrint · 12/10/2011 15:20

here

TheSmallPrint · 12/10/2011 15:21

Please do not repost in S&B for a laugh.

PassTheTwiglets · 12/10/2011 15:49

I love that top, Small! In fact I may well copy you :) (LOL @ posting in S&B for a laugh!)

I shop online - link away!

Russianpony · 12/10/2011 15:53

Small my new bestest friend that blouse is gorgeous! Pweese can we come to some timeshare arrangement with the boys (and suppose twigs will want a look in too!!Grin)

I too shop on-line too much for the good of my bank balance!!Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 12/10/2011 15:58

The floral fabric of that blouse is really pretty, Small. Matalan have got got some lovely stuff on their site - it's been years since I actually went in one. I like this dress although I very much doubt whether it would like me!

Another on-line shopper here - what have you found?

Russianpony · 12/10/2011 16:10

That dress is lovely. I've never bought anything from matalan - going to treat myself to some frivolous clothes purchases once I feel I've earned enough money to warrant it!!Grin

TheSmallPrint · 12/10/2011 17:36

I like that dress Spiro but would need a cardie with it. I tried on a really pretty dress there that I can't find on their website but the cap sleeves made me look like something out of Dynasty, they were enormous! I'm glad you like my top, I was very self conscious about the colour and puffiness.

I will PM you about the online stuff.

SupermassiveLBD · 12/10/2011 18:40

Hello, hello, I was invaded by folks coming round this afternoon wanting tea and cakes. I had a lovely chat but missed you ladies.Sad

On the diet front, I was very good and only bought cake I don?t like -- coconut, and lemon, but now I am seriously tempted into popping out for a carrot cake ? one of those with the thick cream cheese icing slathered all over it.

It is getting cooler and I was very pleased about that but it seems my appetite has resurfaced with it and I am starting to think of nice things to eat all the time.

So we are liking Ricky, are we? I have to say I was very taken with that vid we had the other day. Did you get it on DVD, Spiro? I am seriously tempted, now. Just think, it could rock up together with the S2 RH that I foolishly didn?t order before because it was on the telly at the time. Oh, and then there?s Sylvester -- you have been whetting my appetite for that, with all your intriguing quotes.

Small, I like your blouse too. I wouldn?t have called those sleeves puffy This is what I call puffy

I rather like the look of the little tea dresses I?ve seen in the mags. So ladylike, that is me all over. They all seem to be from chains we don?t have over here, though Sad

Ah yes twiglets - that's what I need to get in the house to stop me attacking the family's crisp supplies.

Glad you had a civilised tea and cakes afternoon massive! Had to smile at your ladylike comment - just doesn't go with homicidal, arsonist, leather-clad maniacs!!Grin. Opposites attract and all that!!Grin
