No log burner here, but we do for the first time have a real fire with a broken grate and oil-fired central heating, no insulation, windows which may as well be made of cling film and the proud owners of two draft excluders to stop the wind howling through the doors! all while the Minster for defence takes his former flat mate on holiday sorry business with him!

Just watched 2 and half men - end was hilarious in relation to us lot, but difficult to explain if you don't watch it.

We did have that on here, but I tend to avoid anything with kids in it, Spiro, especially smart*ss American ones.

The kid in that is now 17 and is actually very, very funny. I presume you know Charlie Sheen has been replaced by Ashton Kutcher, who has bought the beach house after on-screen Charlie's death but Alan is still staying there?

His ex turns up and snogs AK while waiting for son to get ready to leave. Then you see her in bed with Herb (the slightly dopey 2nd husband) who is totally that she's been quite frisky. First she tells him not to talk, then asks him if he's ever considered growing a beard!!! [grin}

Obviously they have been fobbing us with the old seasons, as per usual! I hear about the Charlie Sheen replacement, but is AK much better i wonder? ROFL @ the beard.

I think this is only the third episode with AK - am not that keen so far tbh.

Bring back Seinfeld and Frasier, say I...

I used to love Frasier - have never watched Seinfeld.
