You ladies were on fire last night! What a night to have RL ishoos!!!Smile

I'm looking forward to my revisiting all the revision seminars discussed last night as some point today. Got mini-colt home today as he still sounds like a squeaky broken toy! And breathing like a train all night!! Deep breathing I can cope with from the man but not my son!!!Wink

Welcome Biscuits& Brew. (did you see what I did there!!!Grin). Don't worry about your lack of knowledge . Just about to get strike back for The Colonel's birthday as a purely unselfish choice on my behalf as i believe as he is a military man himself I feel he will appreciate the finer detail of the plot leaving me in peace to admire a certain person!

Lady D you are not alone - I too nee some convincing about the beard - looks too much like Chris ecclescake for me!

Maud - don't resign! I've no idea what massive was saying at all! But then I'm the resident literary dunce!!Confused

Massive loving the typing!!!Grin

Also technically as of last week I'm a SAHWM!!! But it's early days still!! Lots of frustration to go still I'm sure!!

Right good days ladies!Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 08:15

Oooh Russianpony (hello by the way), I'd forgotten about strikeback! Was just thinking 'oh there's another one I've missed' and then remembered I'd watched it when it was on - ah, happy memories Smile

Hope minicolt is better soon - no one likes to have squeaky toys for children Sad.

Am planning an extensive study session for this afternoon while ds is at pre school. Someone asked how old he is - he's 3 (just) but we have another due in March next year.

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 08:19

And I have to ask (and not feel embarrassed as I'm still in the remedial class) but what is a THBECMO thingamajig? I know I don't have all the letters there Blush

Russianpony · 05/10/2011 08:27

Ah don't be embarrassed Biscuit[tea] - I too don't know!!! You can join me in remedial class!! Grin. There is one about Robin hood as well PLFW I think!Grin

Russianpony · 05/10/2011 08:42

Argh!! See dunce at everything!! Can't even do emoticons properly!! Biscuit Brew!! Blush

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/10/2011 09:06

It's TDHBECMO - ie tall, dark and handsome, blue-eyed cotton mill owner. I think the acronym comes originally from some of the fan sites where the level of lunacy is even higher than it is here.

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 09:07

Ah in that case I'm pleased to say my very own TDHBECMO is winging it's way to me as I type - can't wait to tuck into that with my ironing

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 09:09

So PLFW for Robin Hood (or Sir Guy?) I'm trying but coming up with nothing....

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 05/10/2011 09:14

North and South is the perfect ironing dvd, as long as you don't swoon onto the ironing board and singe yourself or a week's worth of laundry!

The PLFW is Robin. Spiro invented the acronym and I'm not absolutely sure about the P, but I think it's Petulant Little F--k ::I don't like rude words emoticon:: Wit.

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 09:19

Ah I see- that's why I couldn't come up with something complimentary for the letters Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 05/10/2011 09:30

Morning all. I am supposed to be making icing figures this morning so kick me off if you see me here, but just checking in briefly.

Yes, the P is for Petulant. Biscuits, we have all been wittering on here for so long that we use loads of acronyms and injokes and whatnot - so ask away if you don't know what we're on about! I was thinking that we ought to start each thread with a little sticky of some of our acronyms...

Whilst we're confessing things, I haven't read N&S. I started it earlier in the year but got distracted as it was slow to start (trans = Mr Thornton isn't in it for ages :o) I am going to give it another go though and I read the first few pages last night.

RP, very clever with the Biscuit & Brew thing! But I'm just going to call you Biscuits 'cos I'll be arsed if I'm going to type that out each time :)

her hopeless passion for her handsome Boss only adding to her daily misery.

Hmmm, that sounds like it would make a good story Wink

TheSmallPrint · 05/10/2011 09:37

Biscuits there a quite a few acronyms and I can't remember them all either so just ask if your stuck, however, I never forget PSM = Pretty Spy Man and you may frequently need the <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=industrial+fans&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1920&bih=880&tbm=isch&tbnid=HA7_AYLDsBHQ3M:&imgrefurl=www.fanmanufacturers.com/&docid=1vj9MCsqqO6pDM&w=300&h=241&ei=vxaMTpi7A4qp0AXkhMnFBQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=183&vpy=253&dur=2823&hovh=192&hovw=240&tx=148&ty=97&page=1&tbnh=136&tbnw=169&start=0&ndsp=44&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">IF which is essential when viewing the Caravaggio

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 09:50

I don't know what I'm more worried about - when I'm ever going to get anything productive done again, or what I was wasting my time with before this thread?

TheSmallPrint · 05/10/2011 09:51
Grin
TheSmallPrint · 05/10/2011 09:54

Twigs, just seen your comment on the buggy thread, glad to know I'm not the only one with a 4yo that won't walk! We only tend to take ours if we're going somewhere like Legoland as there is no way he will walk all round there all day. He has a voice like a fog horn and will moan and whine about walking so if there's no buggy Mr Small ends up carrying him on his shoulders for hours and at 3 stone that's no easy task.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/10/2011 10:10

Quick post and run, i have to go out. in fact i should have gone out long ago.

Loving the beary leathers. but where i ask indignantly, are the stompy boots? and the spurs Without them, the look just does not have the same cachet.

Hello again Biscuits, (loving RP's clever typing btw) Nice to see you are such a keen and loyal student. Do keep up the good work.

SupermassiveLBD · 05/10/2011 10:20

A brilliant paper, there, Spiro, a truly seminal work.

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 10:24

Crikey - what programme was the footwell picture from - I'm sure I haven't seen that one..... Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 05/10/2011 10:29

Spooks 8, IIRC, Biscuits --the one where they go to Moscow. Lucas is sitting in the back seat of a taxi.

DumSpiroSpero · 05/10/2011 10:37

This includes the boots but the hat is a touch
