I had the name wrong, it was actually Panda Pops, if that rings any bells, RP. It was really cheap, imitation coke.

Massive, I am LOVING your Guy description :) (I also meant to say the other day that I really liked your little homage to Bjork).

Small, good idea about the spider hunt but what if he - gulp - brings one in to show me? (I hate spiders). Well so far we have made an egg caton spider and then I got grumpy because he wouldn't play my 'acting out Little Miss Muffett' game :) I'm now looking for spider colouring pages online but had to check in here first, of course :)

SupermassiveLBD · 04/10/2011 12:55

Gee, thanks, Twigs.Grin It is supremely cheesetastic, isn't it? Whoever thought it up in the first place must have el zilcho taste, either that or a wicked sense of humour.

But when applied to Gizzy, it is also completely and utterly TRUE

TheSmallPrint · 04/10/2011 13:35

Didn't Peter Kay always used to go on about his mum buying Rola Cola instead of proper coke and it being awful. I always call supermarket cola Rola Cola now. I do remember Panda Pops but in little bottles never in big ones weirdly.

I am now going to watch Spooks with a cup of tea while pretending to work...

PassTheTwiglets · 04/10/2011 13:42

There were only small bottles I think, Small - they didn't come in big bottles as far as I know. Enjoy Spooks - I wanted to rewatch whilst DS was at nursery but he didn't go today so that was out :) And I have to make a Waybuloo cake for my niece tomorrow - those little blighters look very time consuming. I can't really say "sorry they're all wonky, but I was perving over Dimitri at the same time as I was making them..."

DumSpiroSpero · 04/10/2011 13:48

I am now stuck at work trying desperately not to think about the possibility of writing a fanfic involving both Lucas and Dimitri...

Wouldn't poor old young dimitri be more pepsi then?? Cos he's not bad just not the real thing! Grin

Well I've had a throroughly unproductive day! I've neither done all my admin or given DS my undivided attention - oh wait that's just a normal day!!Grin

Off to a "how we teach reading at this school" seminar in a mo at DD's school! Should be interesting?!Hmm

Russianpony · 04/10/2011 13:54

Mmmm a lucitri dimus story!Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 04/10/2011 13:59

Yeuch, Twigs, those Waybuloo thingies are gross I wouldn't want those anywhere near any cake of mine. Smile

Perving at Dmitri, eh? Well, I suppose needs must when there is no Lucas left to gladden one's heart.

PassTheTwiglets · 04/10/2011 14:11

I wouldn't mind them so much if they have so many intricatw little birts in different colours, Massive :) At least they're nice and chunky and not spindly though!

Spiro, it may not be productive as far as work is concerned but I'm sure we would enjoy it :)

Dear God, I have just had to sit through loads of YT videos of spiders spinning webs Have learned a few things though - did you know that all spiders except one are venomous? And that they eat their old webs? And that Miss Muffet was a real person?! (she was the daughter of Dr Muffet, an entomologist).

SupermassiveLBD · 04/10/2011 14:17

I got bitten by a spider a year or so ago. It was only teensy but you can still see the hole it left in my leg from the "pisen"

PassTheTwiglets · 04/10/2011 14:22

Pisen? (OUCH though, how horrible for you!!)

TheSmallPrint · 04/10/2011 14:52

Well, I'm not sure about Dimitri, I think he was quite realistic as an estate agent and that's not a Good Thing. Shame.

PassTheTwiglets · 04/10/2011 14:55

LOL, Small! :o

This confession made me smile

DumSpiroSpero · 04/10/2011 15:04

You do know Small, that the Man was an estate agent for about 3 years prior to his acting career taking off?

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 04/10/2011 15:13

Pisen is what grizzled grandpop types in epics about rural America call poison, Twigs.

An Estate Agent!!?

I would have been a very demanding customer, needing to be shown round an endlless amount of places before i decided.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/10/2011 15:16

Was he really? Where?

::Thinks back to her vast experience of the estate agents in this neck of the woods and wonders::

Russianpony · 04/10/2011 15:45

PMSL Small - you're right - he was perfect as an estate agent - he just hasn't quite got the Lucas Spook effect yet!! But he'll do until we get our man back!

Had a really frustrating day, with my client tomorrow calling off on me and having some permission refused for using some information on my website. Serves me right for being a goody two shoes and asking permission, when loads of people must be using illegally if their response to me that they let no-one use the picture is truthful! Sad

Poey!Confused Ah well - I've come here to be cheered up - not sure youtube videos of spider webs are my cup of tea, so I'm off exploring!!Smile

SupermassiveLBD · 04/10/2011 15:58

What is wrong with these people? Angry Wink

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/10/2011 16:09

To judge from the fact that so many of the nominees are callow youths under 30, I would assume that the readership of Glamour is young and silly not yet fully conversant with what makes for a truly attractive gentleman.

After all, my niece (who I guess is much the same age as one or other of the SuperBoys) has posters of RP on her bedroom waqlls.

Russianpony · 04/10/2011 16:11

OMG Massive!!! some people just have no taste!!Wink

Anyway, Maud - have you seen of part of the literary classic by Shakespeare of MacBeth? May make you see a certain person in a different light totally ignoring the fact that Macbeth too was a homicidal, deranged, murderer (can't remember the actual words!!Grin)

All I can say is, why wasn't I in this teacher's English class if he (actually probably a she!!!), uses this type of media!!!Grin I may have actually got an A at GSCE and continued it onwards!!!Grin

Russianpony · 04/10/2011 16:11

Why does your niece have pictures of me on her wall?[confusion]

Should I be worried?Wink

Russianpony · 04/10/2011 16:16

Ah No Maud - this is the version you would prefer a role with more integrity than Macbeth! - teacher obviously got her head straight when she did this one!!Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/10/2011 16:17

Tee hee! That Macbeth vid is very clever - and interesting imagery of the black knight versus the white knight, as per any decent fairy tale! But you're quite right, RussianPony, Macbeth too is an unwashed (probably, not much hot water in Scottish castles), leather-clad (who knows) psychologically-damaged homicidal maniac probably with an Oedipal complex thrown in for good measure.

Of course, Our Man has done some Shakespeare, both trad and retold - some of it is on YT.

SupermassiveLBD · 04/10/2011 16:18

I think Maud meant to say R Patz, RP, but in the throes of her indignation over the spurning of Mr Tthornton, she forgot the naked initials might cause confusion

Russianpony · 04/10/2011 16:21

I told you I had a bad day - I think he's supposed to be playing MacDuff, not MacBeth - and he is a rather better character - No?!

I think you are beginning to see why English Literature has passed me by!! Even had that panicky feeling this afternoon when I was being asked Year 3 comprehension questions about a text at this reading workshop by DD's very scary teacher!!ShockBlush
