WARNING

Don't forget your hard hat, hi-viz gear and parachute. We lost a careless vice-principal this way only last year.

And what audiobooks would they be, pray?

And yes they are being nasty but my new friend is going to take care of that.

::Throws shapes to Tragedy::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/11/2011 23:34

Aha. I thought as much.

LadyDamerel · 18/11/2011 23:36

Your leather clad friend with the big sword reminds me very strongly of the main character in the audiobooks I have purchased, Maud.

LadyDamerel · 18/11/2011 23:39

I am seriously considering writing to the Man and demanding he reads a few more GH novels. I have tried one read by someone else it it just doesn't work for me.

Speaking of which, have you made Sylvester's acquaintance yet, Maud? He has accompanied my cakeing these last 2 days and nights, splendiferous chap that he is.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/11/2011 23:39

He's not really my friend, he's the hired muscle I bring in for the duffing-up jobs that Mr Thornton is too much of a gentleman to do.

DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 23:40

Oh, those ones! You'll have to let me know what they're like - they're the only ones I haven't got.

Well, CiN has just pressed my buttons sufficiently for me to make a donation.

Grrr at Thorin far too bloody longwinded Oakenshield.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/11/2011 23:41

No, every time I reserve time to get acquainted with Sylvester, life rudely intervenes, so he's still sitting by my bed, waiting to be unwrapped.

LadyDamerel · 18/11/2011 23:43

I am still ploughing through the bloomin' Hobbit.

Well, it's still on my bedside table but at the bottom of the pile. The 5 above it are taking precedence. I may have finished it by the time the film comes out.

::doubtful emoticon::

DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 23:45

Sylvester's ok, Damerel is still me favourite of the three though, but I'd probably be most inclined to listen to LOTN again.

I'd love to get into House but I've got a pile of DVD's I need to catch up with if only I could resist my old favourites every time I get some spare time

SupermassiveLBD · 18/11/2011 23:45

Sorry folks, i have got to go, I'm falling asleep at the keyboard. I will try to do better tomrorrow. [smiie]

still me favourite?

my favourite Shock Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/11/2011 23:47

I'm thoroughly confused now. I thought LadyD was talking about LOTN, but then Spiro does have those. Or does she.

::head explodes::

LadyDamerel · 18/11/2011 23:49

Maud, you need to prioritise, my dear. Next time MrT comes knocking, asking to split your declensions you must send him away to check his dangling prepositions and focus all your energies on Sylvester.

DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 23:52

I thought Lady D was referring to the RH audiobooks - as far as I'm aware Uthred doesn't wear leather (but he does end up with an Oakenshield-esque beard at one point!)

LadyDamerel · 18/11/2011 23:52

::strokes Maud's brow soothingly::

Not LOTN, the RH stories - Witchfinders, Parenthood and Would you tolerate this?, I think.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/11/2011 23:58

It is precisely because I do prioritise, LadyD, that Mr Thornton and I have reached such an advanced level in our studies of Plato. I do want to spend time with Sylvester, of course, but I fear that Mr Thornton would feel neglected.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/11/2011 00:02

And speaking of those studies, I must away. A demain!

DumSpiroSpero · 19/11/2011 00:02

You could always send him for a sojourn by the seaside Maud? Wink

Reverting to Gizzy for a moment - do either of you know which episode it is where he has to 'despatch' his son? I know it's early in Season One but it bypassed me entirely - I presume that is not the major plot line?

DumSpiroSpero · 19/11/2011 00:05

Ahhh - aren't the kids from 'Outnumbered' sweet!

LadyDamerel · 19/11/2011 00:07

1.4, I think. Spiro.

Hold on, will check for you.

Bon Nuit, Maud.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/11/2011 00:09

::Looks back at you::

This resource is your friend, Spiro. It's useful as a starting point when one is looking for, ahem, other resources.

The Girl is like Karen in so many ways.

LadyDamerel · 19/11/2011 00:10

Yup, 1.4. That's what this is about.

DumSpiroSpero · 19/11/2011 00:14

A-ha - will have to have a look at that next time I've got a spare hour or so.

Don't know why I didn't think of Wiki - it's like my right arm any other time!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/11/2011 00:14

::Still watching CiN::

. It was astonishing when Gareth's choir of military wives sung it.
LadyDamerel · 19/11/2011 00:17

I had a small tear in my eye when Gareth's choir sang that last week.
