HAHAHAHA ONLY JOKING!!
TA-DA!!!! I'M FINALLY HERE after much moaning on Twitter and a lost application, Mumsnet have fast-tracked my application and I'm now officially a "Mumsnet Blogger". What have I let myself in for??
Some of you may already know me, in which case "Hi" - make yourselves known.
Some of you may never have heard of me, in which case "Hi" - where the frig have you been for the past two years?
Some of you may know me from a previous life where I had a different username, in which case "Hi" - and sssshhhh we don't talk about that any more.
Some of you may know me in real life, in which case "Hi" - isn't it time you rang me and we arranged a coffee date?
Some of you have probably clicked off by now and though "weirdo", in which case "Bye".
I have been described as Tigger, Quirky and The Queen of Rants. I blog at Typecast

PMSL at "feeling threatened":o I looked at the thread as it popped up on active convos and just thought "wow how arrogant".
I haveno idea who she is and have no idea what the bloggers network is. I've been here considerably longer than 2 years.
Tee2072 · 27/07/2011 19:52
Oh, was I suppose to feel threatened? Sorry. I'm not.
I'm 100% annoyed however.
There's a huge difference.
I honestly have never heard of this person. I did look at her blog. It's a blog.
I'm sorry if it hurts her feelings that people have never heard of her. No one has ever heard of me. I couldn't care less.

How on earth is a new member supposed to know about unwritten rules? I explained that I used to be a member here (on the other forums). I didn't say how LONG I'd been a member.
But then, I suppose unwritten rules allow your long standing members to call new members "cunts" do they? Nice touch.

I never said anything about 'unwritten rules.' I simply said that you came on here and threw your weight around. And got my back up.
I totally admit it is my issue.
But I am also, I gotta say, not sure why MN invited you to be in the network if you are a) not a pro/famous or b) a member of MN. I thought that was who the network was for. Members of MN and the famous MN asked to join in.
I didn't realize they were inviting random people to join. Guess I misunderstood.
purplepidjin · 27/07/2011 20:06
Typecast, you launched yourself in here as if you were a longstanding member and folk were supposed to be grateful you'd deigned to rejoin us. The MN unwritten rules are that you treat others with courtesy, which is reciprocated.
Respect is earned, not demanded.
CaptainNancy · 27/07/2011 20:07
Welcome to MN Nenn.
Of course I've read typecasts blog- how else could I have formed an opinion. You will notice I have refrained from commenting about the actual blog, and simply referred to your manner on this thread... I was trying not to be mean.
I notice your other supporters are also bmcers, so presumably know you of old... not the type of praise/support you need when trying to drum up new readers.
I just get a little fed-up of people using MN as a vehicle for sefl-aggrandisement without putting anything back into the community; typecast it would be great if you proved me wrong, but your reactions and retaliations on this thread suggest otherwise.
Honestly- if you can't take being called a cunt by someone, perhaps the internet MN is not for you.
Mediocremum · 27/07/2011 20:08
Absolutely stunned! Doing my best not to revert to such gruesome name calling and will not. However, this reinforces why I do not actively participate in mumsnet. I had a similar welcome in another life. Someone said, would you introduce yourself in the pub like that, yes I probably would, but I can assure you that I've never called anyone a cunt in the pub.
You should all be really ashamed. If you want to take umbrage to this you can find me on twitter (@mediocre_mum) and I can promise you, you will receive a warm welcome.
I can guarantee you will not find me back here, so don't bother replying.....
DirtyMartini · 27/07/2011 20:09
hey LOTM, not seen you around for ages since you were having morning sickness (Twitter convo) -- how's it going?
Tee2072 · 27/07/2011 20:09
Oh really, CaptainNancy. Are all her supporters new as well?
Nothing wrong with being new. We were all new once. Everything wrong with, as CaptainNancy said, using the power of MN to your own ends.
Typecast · 27/07/2011 20:09
No I didn't launch myself here as a longstanding member. Can you quote where I did, please? I said I'd previously been a member.
Another one calling me a cunt - is there a record for the amount of times a member has been called a cunt? You really aren't very nice people are you? Isn't it a shame you hide behind your usernames. Catching a link on FB - that means we have a mutual friend. Shouldn't REALLY be difficult to find out who that is.
Typecast · 27/07/2011 20:12
CaptainNancy - with respect, I only recognise one BMC name on here and I haven't been a regular contributor to that forum for almost a year. But that is the "old" forum I refered to earlier.
And if I came on here and called a few members "cunts" I'm sure I would have been reported and banned by now. Actually, I don't stoop that low. I don't think I've ever lowered myself to call someone a cunt on the internet.
Tee2072 · 27/07/2011 20:12
My real name is Robyn Fraser. My blog is Tee's Blog. I'd give you my email but I don't want Bots to pick it up.
You claim to be frank and open and honest but you don't want it back. Can dish it out, can't take it.
And, no, I am not a nice person. Never said I was. I'm an honest person. I take honesty over nice any day.
LadyOfTheManor · 27/07/2011 20:14
Oh no, please don't flatter yourself...someone was speaking of your arrogance, and I asked for the link to see for myself.
DirtyMartini! Yes, still queasy but no where near as ill as I was, no more steroids for me hoorah! Just found out the placenta is at the front which has scared me to my core...!
LadyOfTheManor · 27/07/2011 20:20
Yes, if I do my angry face I think I can pull that off.
Failing that, handstands it is.
nenevomito · 27/07/2011 20:21
Ok so the OP wasn't the greatest, but the rest of the thread's really uncomfortable reading. I'm guessing from the 8) smiley from someone this is a BMCer. Give them a break.
queenrollo · 27/07/2011 20:22
what a great welcome really showing mumsnet at it's best this is......
i happen to know typecast, i've known her for years - from a completely unrelated forum that died a death years ago and you lot have got her completely wrong.
typecast i know you're not - but - i wouldn't worry about this lot. you've been doing well enough without the traffic from mumsnet and i'd suggest you're better off without it if this is the attitude you're going to get.
peekmum · 27/07/2011 20:26
Typecast - I am totally new to mumsnet (sorry if I offend anyone typing that in full) I took your original post to be a bit tongue in cheek really
Tee2072 - get over yourself and get a grip - it wasn't a personal reference - some people do like to make an entrance - so what?
Nenn · 27/07/2011 20:34
I am so happy to see some normal people on here at last. So it's beginning to look like most Mumsnetters are decent people and it's just the minority who seem to have a chip on their shoulders.
To comment on this thread you need to create a Mumsnet account.
