HAHAHAHA ONLY JOKING!!

TA-DA!!!! I'M FINALLY HERE after much moaning on Twitter and a lost application, Mumsnet have fast-tracked my application and I'm now officially a "Mumsnet Blogger". What have I let myself in for??

Some of you may already know me, in which case "Hi" - make yourselves known.
Some of you may never have heard of me, in which case "Hi" - where the frig have you been for the past two years?
Some of you may know me from a previous life where I had a different username, in which case "Hi" - and sssshhhh we don't talk about that any more.
Some of you may know me in real life, in which case "Hi" - isn't it time you rang me and we arranged a coffee date?
Some of you have probably clicked off by now and though "weirdo", in which case "Bye".

I have been described as Tigger, Quirky and The Queen of Rants. I blog at Typecast

I pointed out my stats as I was told to go post them somewhere else on MN.

Congrats on your 10,000 stats though- really, well done. To me, I blog cos I enjoy blogging. I'm doing fine, I'm happy, its all good.
As someone said here, blogging is narcissistic, elsewise why would any of us make them public?

I'd ask whats up with Bounty, one of the biggest names in parenting before and after pregnancy? I'm pretty sure they would be most Mum's port of call over MN?

I agree that MN should seriously have a word with some of its "older" members- to round on someone as you thought (wrongly) their OP was offensive? Surely the better idea would have been to say "hi, btw, you may want to tone it down, as it makes you sound a bit OTT", rather than calling her offensive names? We're all adults here right?

And, whilst MN does have a "we say what we like" attitude, in essence there is nothing wrong with that. Its just the way you word what you say doesn't have to be so aggressive and nasty. Support is whats meant to be going on here, and no one has any right to bitch about another persons blog, end of. We all work hard on them, right?

Seriously, if I ran this site right now, after the whole "cybermummy" backlash last year, I would be assessing whether this whole network could work. Because I don't recall any of this kind of negativity over NM network, ever.

Just to clarify, nope, nobody recommended my blog to Gurgle, they found as many as they could online, went through them over 18 months, and cherry picked the ones they liked best. Apparently. I doubt very much anyone I know had anything to do with it, I wasn't that well known then, and don't court the "big names" or fawn over certain people.

seriously AFK- don't engage or give them the airspace! They are the only ones engaging in the twitter bitch-fest- none of the MNers are.

Good grief. I'm a blogger and I'm embarrassed by this thread.

I'm a rubbish blogger, though, so I think I'm allowed to continue lurking, right?

20something, is that review blog yours? If so, you may like to proof read it occasionally given you have all those awards and readers.

That's essentially what did happen. She took umbrage, though.

Is nobody going to discuss Hamlet with me, then?

I have never actually read a blog in my life. The flurry on here led me to do so. I am never going to read another blog in my life. And with that I raise you Wine

Have none of you buggers read the blog I linked to? GO. Do it now. Best blog I have read this year.

Trolling and namecalling. Lost the highground now, haven't you?

Tee
I did not mean to suggest that you had told your twitter friends to come over and support you. I read your twitter feed and was nosy. If I had been on MN, and had seen this by coincidence, I would have posted in support anyway.

sorry 20something- what is the 'cybermummy backlash last year'?

Don't get defensive re your stats- I asked for you to add them to the other thread, because this is a community, and we share.

Try doing an advanced search on here for bounty, and you'll see why some of us don't like it.

I'm the worst kind of blogger. I expect other people to read my chicken soap opera, but rarely read other people's. Except the Bloggess, who is actually hilarious.

he's that dude who had a thing for his mum, saw the ghost of his dead dad, went a bit mad (or maybe he didn't ??) and then killed his uncle before being murdered by his girlfriend's brother, right?

Wow, so in your forums defence you go copy and paste some tweets. Well, you got me.

Do you not see how mental you all sound? And the idea of debate btw is that you accept that if you jump in and start on someone for no reason, you expect the same to happen to you.

And nope, I value my sanity and looks too much to carry on over here- I can imagine you all, constantly with faces that look like you're sucking a lemon whilst someone slaps you with a wet fish, hunched shoulders only unfurling in misplaced triumph at a "witty" reposte to someone who dared to tread on hallowed Bitchnet, sorry Mumsnet ground.
I shall leave you to your abject misery.

Lifes too short people. Thanks for the stats btw, you know, because my blog is so meh and crap that I need all the help I can get from you wise netters.

That was sarcasm btw.
