HAHAHAHA ONLY JOKING!!

TA-DA!!!! I'M FINALLY HERE after much moaning on Twitter and a lost application, Mumsnet have fast-tracked my application and I'm now officially a "Mumsnet Blogger". What have I let myself in for??

Some of you may already know me, in which case "Hi" - make yourselves known.
Some of you may never have heard of me, in which case "Hi" - where the frig have you been for the past two years?
Some of you may know me from a previous life where I had a different username, in which case "Hi" - and sssshhhh we don't talk about that any more.
Some of you may know me in real life, in which case "Hi" - isn't it time you rang me and we arranged a coffee date?
Some of you have probably clicked off by now and though "weirdo", in which case "Bye".

I have been described as Tigger, Quirky and The Queen of Rants. I blog at Typecast

What is the 'cybermummy' business that a few people have alluded to?

Jux · 29/07/2011 15:04

I'm not a bunch of cunts.
I'm a nest of vipers.

I've been blogging since the 80s only it wasn't called that then.

BecauseImWorthIt · 29/07/2011 15:39

Did you do it by fax then, Jux?

butterflyexperience · 29/07/2011 17:00

What's been going on over here?

CaptainNancy · 29/07/2011 19:45

I bet you had prestel, didn't you jux. ?

I have been sent a link to this thread from another forum as an example of how shocking Mumsnet can be (I'm a member but not a regular poster) and I have to be honest, the first few pages are a bit harsh.

But the rest of the thread is completely hilarious! I have been sat here (yes, I know it should be "sitting") LMAO at shakespearian chickens and the randoms that have followed. If anything you've shown mumsnetters to be funny and intelligent (and as a grammar nazi I'm loving that you got to correct a professional writer lol)

Still PMSL at Sudo

Thanks ladies you've made my night

AnyFuleKno · 29/07/2011 22:28

Really pleased you posted that northernruth, I think I love you a bit

Pleb1969 · 29/07/2011 22:41

bloody hell, it's taken me ages to find the Sudo bit - thought it was some random poster, not atrocious spelling mistake by the award winning blogger.

AnyFuleKno · 29/07/2011 23:06

I think I might be a sudoku-intellectual

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/07/2011 00:05

Welcome, northernruth!

It's shocking here. Absolutely shocking.

And bloody marvellous.

DillyTante · 30/07/2011 07:22

I'm more of a wordsearch-intellectual.

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/07/2011 08:28

Dilly - have just realised who you are

TheRealMBJ · 30/07/2011 09:05

I wondered if you were her?

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/07/2011 09:10

Me?

TheRealMBJ · 30/07/2011 09:26

No. Dilly. (If I'm thinking about the same donkey sanctuary individual)

I don't think I'll bother, actually, thanks all the same. Saturday nights are about quaffing wine and looking at Enrique Iglesias videos on You Tube. Can't be arsed with blogs. The world seems to becoming like that Ben Elton book where people live their entire lives in the public domain and the authorities are suspicious of you if you actually prefer a bit of privacy.

Saturday night tv ain't much to write (or blog) home about tbh. Watching Harry Potter for the gazillionth time. Spent all day sewing name tags to DS clothes ready for Scout camp tomorrow and making traybakes for them to scoff round the campfire. Wish I was going instead of getting up at stupid o'clock to help my mate do a carboot sale. Boo.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 30/07/2011 21:26

Saturday night telly makes me cry. It murders fairies. True fact.

Pleb1969 · 30/07/2011 21:35

WHAT???????!!! Murders fairies? Really? Ewwwww!

superjobee · 30/07/2011 21:39

twatting hell it all went mad in here! way too much to read but tbh the OP put me right off with the fact they expected everyone to bow to them and appreciate their arrival and i hate blogs at the best of times but reading that really riled me up i hate when ppl think they are uber important and should be known

Well, if you're a Goblin that explains everything. Mumsnet is inherently goblinist. They pretend they're not, but, you know....it's the ears.
