I very much like that Scotsman article. He is such a nice chap Grin.

Massive, the dcs have a real......fascination, I suppose, with death. DH's brother died 11 years ago and is buried in our village churchyard, as are his GPs, so they've been up there quite often which triggers all sorts of questions. I sort of felt that today (and the chapel of rest visit on Thursday) might 'fill in the gaps' as it were. I wasn't totally sure how they'd cope, more because of how they would react to everyone around them being upset but they were curious rather than worried by it.

Twigs, don't worry. I won't be long for my bed either Smile.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/07/2011 21:51

Exactly, Small. I am willing to concede the chaise longoo but there are some lines I will not cross especially if it means following a mad American harpy.

LadyDamerel · 25/07/2011 21:53

Ahem, Maud. She was BRITISH, doncha know. Quite how the Man managed to keep a strange face when she dropped that little pearl into the interview I don't know.

DumSpiroSpero · 25/07/2011 21:55

He very nearly failed to keep a straight face the second time she did it though Grin!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/07/2011 22:06

I knew someone would pick me up on that, but I contend that - whatever passport she possesses - her accent, general demeanour and mangling of his name (which, after all, is the name of the US Deputy Secretary of State which the BBC, who are usually sticklers for such things, pronounce in the conventional style) are decidedly north American. And did you mean to call his face strange?

A propos of nothing, I have just been introduced to this splendid chap and his . It even mentions cravats.

Did anyone hear the review of CA on Front Row, perchance?

SupermassiveLBD · 25/07/2011 22:14

Posh rap, now I've seen it all Grin

What did they say on FR, Maude? No mention of a Monsieur Armitahge, I hope.

DumSpiroSpero · 25/07/2011 22:16

Interesting Hmm!

Haven't heard any reviews - am trying to avoid them until I see it tbh, although the general consensus doesn't seem to be great.

LadyDamerel · 25/07/2011 22:21

Blush straight.

As someone whose countenance is a tolerable mirror for my thoughts I would have had a strange face the second time round. Agree re. the Harpy's nationality, btw. She said it, not me Grin.

Oh and HUGE thanks to Spiro for the C&P of the CA fan encounter. I like her much, much more than the crazy stalker Heathra - I went all tingly for her and now I love him even more.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/07/2011 22:23

I thought it might amuse.

They spent most of the time (which wasn't long, anyway) talking about Marvel's place in American iconography and about Captain America's role in supporting American involvement in WW2. They mentioned a British actress who's in the film but no word of Mr Armitazh.

DumSpiroSpero · 25/07/2011 22:23

He certainly didn't look as terrified having his photo taken with the second fan Grin

LadyDamerel · 25/07/2011 22:29

She looks quite normal and sane considering the Man has just hugged her, kissed her and then put his arm around her.

Just contemplating that scenario makes me wibbly Grin.

SupermassiveLBD · 25/07/2011 22:30

I certainly hope you lot will behave yourselves if you run into him on your Big Day Out. Wink

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/07/2011 22:31

Perhaps he took some comfort from the fact that she had her husband with her and so probably wasn't planning to kidnap him, Misery-stylee.

LadyDamerel · 25/07/2011 22:31

Must go to bed now though to formulate my stalker plan for Weds' CA premiere in Liverpool, it's going to be a good one.

Night!

SupermassiveLBD · 25/07/2011 22:34

Maybe you should all hire faux DHs, then, to lull him into a false sense of security reassure him.

SupermassiveLBD · 25/07/2011 22:35

Feel free to use my cunning plan, LadyD.

LadyDamerel · 25/07/2011 22:35

I once met a 'celeb' I had a massive bit of a crush on and went completely tongue tied and made a total numpty of myself so a repeat of that would be fairly likely.

SupermassiveLBD · 25/07/2011 22:38

Believe me I sympathise, Lady D.

LadyDamerel · 25/07/2011 22:40

Remind me what it was, Massive?

The bare bones are to take the MiniDs to Liverpool for a day out, probably at the World Museum but park the car at Liverpool One because the walk to the museum takes you right past the Odeon. I suspect the museum will be so fascinating that we will spend a long, long time in there and be ambling past said Odeon back to the car at about 6pm. We may be in need of some refreshments from Starbucks that is right next to the cinema by then and require a 60 minute short rest too.

LadyDamerel · 25/07/2011 22:41

Famous, or just a big crush, Massive?

DumSpiroSpero · 25/07/2011 22:41

Are you going on Wednesday then Lady D?

I'm going to call it a night too - am not sleeping well at the mo. Miss Spiro tends to wake a couple of times a night and always comes to me rather than Mr S, then she's up any time after 5am.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

DumSpiroSpero · 25/07/2011 22:42

Nicely plotted Lady D!!! Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/07/2011 22:43

My totally bona fido DH tried to persuade me to propel myself into The Presence to shake The Hand, but I declined. It would have been mortifying.

LadyDamerel · 25/07/2011 22:44

Spiro, I need a plausible reason to be in Liverpool IF there is a last minute announcement that certain stars of the film will be there Grin.

The World Museum sounds genuinely brilliant and the MiniDs will love it. A glimpse of the beard would be an added bonus though!

LadyDamerel · 25/07/2011 22:47

Mine did propel me towards my crushee and then had to do all the talking for me Blush Blush Blush.

Oh god, it was awful.

::lies on chaise longoo and waits for Sigmund to reappear::
