Oh OK we're being serious (missed those posts for some reason ), yes I think you're all right, particularly Mauds point about downtime, I suspect he thought it was OK to walk there thinking no-one knew him so no-one would approach him?

All the while he was on the carpet, ok, fair game & people want to make themselves look a bit deranged to get a few pics, good luck to them. But after he stepped off the carpet he was a private individual going about his business.

At least he didn't have paparazzi to contend with too. And I have to say from a loosely 'professional' POV, it must be a nightmare for the legitimate press covering the event to have to deal with that when they're there to do a job,especially TV and radio interviewers.

The most extraordinary thing is that she blanks out her friend's face in the photo, so it's OK to push yourself into someone's private time and space, but then you want to maintain your own privacy?

Thanks for asking Spiro, it was fine. They were very curious about all of it but didn't seemed fazed - they stroked his hands and face and asked masses of questions which made it easier for me to deal with too. Not sure the funeral will be quite as simple but we'll sort that when we get there. I'm doing better this week although it still sneaks up and catches me out every so often, especially when people are nice to me!

LordD has just reminded me I'm supposed to be going on a school mums night out at the village pub. How can I remember that a certain Man likes salmon and blooming couscous AND which article it was in but not remember a night out? I despair of my brain sometimes!

Oh, and if the 'fans' RA comes across are like Heathra and DiL I'm not surprised he's so freaked out by the whole 'heart throb' 'fan' aspect of his job. That's just WEIRD behaviour. (Or just American, maybe? Less restraint?)

I really have gone right off him though - even some of his tweets were complaining about the state of the loos (they looked fine!) on some production or other. Oh, oh, I had a song for you! I hear it on Steve Wright yesterday and I loved it. I was bouncing along in my seat, 'cos of the tune but then the words hit me and I realised it would be PERFECT for a vid of The Man! Maybe it's really popular and everybody knows it but I've never heard of the singer before. and here are the lyrics. I am mentally choosing scenes as I hear it; there are so many that would fit perfectly!
