'i really really love my kids'

No shit sherlock, you are supposed to.

I can't be the only one who thinks he is a passive aggressive weirdo, surely.

What are they all famous for, these people? Just dressing up? I know Katona and Petey had a hit back in the day but I'm confused by the rest.

Getorf, I don't believe you. Claire has a certain streak of low cunning clearly, she's a successful business after all, but she is not the tower of posting genius we know and love as Getorf. Plus I do not believe she changes her sheets monthly daily.

babylann · 17/06/2011 14:29

Speaking of Amy Childs... I only watched one of those Essex show things - the first one... But she was driving an unbelievably expensive looking car, and obviously falling out of nightclubs every night etc. For a beautician who decorates people's fanjos with sticky gems, isn't that a bit... unrealistic?

GetOrf · 17/06/2011 14:32

I actually really like Amy Childs - she comes across as very sweet in that show.

Baby I think she comes from a wealthy family - daddy probably is a bricklayer who made a fortune semi-legally - she went to private school apparently.

But she seems a sweet young girl. She hasn't got the dead, soul sold to cocaine devil look in her eyes - yet.

sue for saying lovely things. Now go and change your sheets, Sue

Do mine every Sunday for Jesus Getorf. I cannot justify the daily laundry bill, plus I'm clearly not as grubby as you.

I am thick, the thickest I know, but these Essex/Chelsea etc programmes, are they real or scripted? I've only seen the trailers but I assumed they'd be a mockumentary-type thing. But this Amy one is not an actress, she's a real human bean? From the Essex programme?

babylann · 17/06/2011 14:43

They claim to be real. I read in an interview with one of them something like "Yeah, it might look like we're just acting (and badly) but when we say something the directors like, they make us repeat is 20 times until the scene is perfect so it's no wonder it doesn't sound real anymore." Apparently the producers take them to a place or event and let them loose.

"Some of the scenes you see may have been set up, but the people and their actions are real" or something like that.

It's kind of like a soap opera with real people who are made to act but pretend they aren't acting because they did kind of say something similar to that a few hours ago.

babylann · 17/06/2011 14:45

Oh and apparently the producers forced that Mark guy to propose to that Lauren woman for the drama of an engagement when they aren't even in love... it's alleged.

SuePurblybilt · 17/06/2011 14:52

Then why on earth is it so popular? As a drama it looks shit and as a reality show it fails by not being, um, real. I am perhaps too old to understand it.

My favourite programme is Four in a Bed, why do we never see B&B landladies falling out of nighclubs and flashing their fanny gems, hmm? Th'ats one idea for free for you Claire, sign up some of them and make them stars.

NettoSuperstar · 17/06/2011 14:58

I will admit that I love TOWIE, so much so I have the book and a T-Shirt.

Joey Essex cracks me upGrin

GetOrf · 17/06/2011 15:38

I love TOWIE as well, it makes me die, and it is SO not the type of programme I would normally watch and love. My daughter for instance thiks I am deeply sad for watching it and saying 'shuuuup' at her Grin. Je suis un sad twat.

Plus my aunt lives in Chigwell where a lot of it is filmed, and her local features in the programme a lot. I love it there.

Has anybody watched the Geordie one? I've not heard good things!

SpringHeeledJack · 17/06/2011 16:13

know I'm a bit late to the party, but evil readhead from Girls Aloud???

she's my favourite

...incidentally (back to PA the EA) dp is concerned about Petey's older brother, who is seen in show (mainly from the back) tweaking Petey's hair and Fetching Things. He (dp) thinks the brother is going to end up running amok sooner or later.

Well, that's his excuse for watching, anyway

Hmm
SpringHeeledJack · 17/06/2011 16:14

also I demand to hear the ASDA Chant

babylann · 17/06/2011 16:21

Nicola was my favourite Girls Aloud as well. She's always been so dignified and just got on with things. I quite like that Kimberley one as well.

Pinkjenny · 17/06/2011 16:24

"Give me an A!"

"A!"

"Give me an S!"

"S!"

"Give me a D!"

"D!"

"Give me an A!"

"A!"

"What have we got?"

"Asda!"

"I can't hear you!"

"ASDA!"

"Give me a pocket slap."

"And another!"
"Who's number one?"

"The customer! Always! Oo!"

c0rn55ilk · 17/06/2011 16:27

I like Nicola best as well. Cheryl is the evil one. All that eye makeup like a demonic barbie.

SpringHeeledJack · 17/06/2011 16:31

Give me a pocket slap???

GrinGrinGrin

Pinkjenny · 17/06/2011 16:32

Seriously. Slap one bum cheek and then the other.

Horrifying stuff, truly.

c0rn55ilk · 17/06/2011 16:32

what if you have no pockets?

Pinkjenny · 17/06/2011 16:33

It was a reference to that stupid 'That's Asda Price!' thing. I worked there in, erm, 2003. Perhaps they have shelved it now. One can only hope.

WolfShapedBullet · 17/06/2011 17:02

I can't breathe, have just read through this thread (thoroughly agree with general consensus on slimeball PA by the way).

Between the combo of 'carbs with Claire' and the ASDA chant, I seriously can't breathe for laughing. Brilliant!

NettoSuperstar · 17/06/2011 17:51

I'd pay good Monopoly money to see you do that Pink.
I bet you loved it really.

I worked for Tesco in the late 90s and had to wear a polka dot dress in a size 18 (I'm an 8) and watch a video about not leaning into freezers in case you fall in, and I thought that was bad.
At least there was no chant/dance.

NettoSuperstar · 17/06/2011 17:52

Oh, and American tan tights went with the dress.Sad

SuePurblybilt · 17/06/2011 17:52

Do you know, the craic is mighty in Devon at the moment? Again, just back from town on t'bus and saw an advert for a concert not ten miles from me with Spiky Poo Boy, Aiden Grimpants from XF and the miserable scouser girl from the crisp adverts. We are rocking the Z list slebs here.

Anyway, think we should add them to the Crealy gangbang?

KatieScarlett2833 · 17/06/2011 18:21

"All the prices are low
wherever you go
That's Asda Price...
...ching ching"

Pink Were you "Happy to Help?"

PMSL

KatieScarlett2833 · 17/06/2011 18:22

We have Morrisey here tonight Sue

Bet that's a hoot.
