Strangers are friends you just haven't met, yet. Even when they are baddies and drive science-fiction-y submarines, wearing a smart grey lounge suit.

Oooooooh, Panelmember that was DIVINE!!!

Evening, Maud! Isn't his smile just sooooo beautiful in that last one? In such stark contrast to his sternness (sternosity? sternitude? sternmongousness?) to the rest of the programme. Am embarrassed to admit that I still haven't read N&S, despite having got the book for Xmas. It will be a while too, 'cos I want to read my Heyers first... I am 2/3 through The Convenient Marriage atm and luuuurrrving it.

SupermassiveLBD · 07/05/2011 23:33

RAvishing, ne'st-ce pas?

NB: Not the one on the left, obviously...

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 07/05/2011 23:35

Beautiful, Twiggy? I really hadn't noticed.

::cough, splutter::

Massive, I've changed my mind, I think you should buy for your birthday. I shall not rest until every woman on the planet has seen this programme. Anybody who hasn't seen it yet, it is a mere 72 pence on amazon used!

SupermassiveLBD · 07/05/2011 23:55

Heh heh, the ad is pretty good, Twigs but DT isn't exactly my first choice to be delivered to my lair for a birthday treat.

Spiro, I meant to say earlier that I keep looking at that 'DIY highlights' hair dye and wondering about getting it! So I'm pleased to see that you (and lots of people on the review you linked to) like it. Is it just you & DD going to the NHM next week? Have you been before? We went a year or so ago and the dinosaurs were scary for DD. I loved it though and keep meaning to go back to see all the spacey stuff.

Roger that Massive, but you would love it anyway - it's just a real giggle.

PassTheTwiglets · 08/05/2011 00:01

Oooooh Massive, do you get storecard points on that one?

I would make a joke about RewAurd points but doubt that expats would get that.

PassTheTwiglets · 08/05/2011 00:01

RewArd, even....

SupermassiveLBD · 08/05/2011 00:05

I visit the UK often enough to know about RewArd points, Twigs, they keep asking me to sign up every time I make a puRchAse and it's a pain to have to keep RepeAting that I have RelocAted abRoAd and it's not ReAlistic for me to collect them.

PassTheTwiglets · 08/05/2011 00:06

Right, c'est finis pour ce soir. Must go to bed before I eat.

Night, ladiez!

PassTheTwiglets · 08/05/2011 00:08

Sweet dReAms

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/05/2011 00:09

Would you all like to hear about the time I saw the lovely Mr Spacey on stage at the Old Vic?

Thought not.

::Dons protective suit and runs away::

Goodnight twiggy!

SupermassiveLBD · 08/05/2011 00:09

Nighty night Twigs, how noble of you to diet, too!

What did you se him in, Maud? I saw him there too but it completely escapes me what it was!

SupermassiveLBD · 08/05/2011 00:13

You can tell me all about the lovely Mr Spacey on stage at the Old Vic, Maud. Was he all by himself, or could there have been anyone else with him that we might possibly have heard of?

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 08/05/2011 00:17

Oh heck, I've just ReAlised what Maud is referring to :) Well that sentence-ending-with-a-preposition is for YOU, young lady!

ReAlly going now...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/05/2011 00:21

Well, I suppose you could say the Old Vic had been turned into a Palace of Varieties for the evening, Massive. Quite a number of ack-tors off the telly did a turn and quite a number of ladies in the audience had a bit of a turn.
