Strangers are friends you just haven't met, yet. Even when they are baddies and drive science-fiction-y submarines, wearing a smart grey lounge suit.

Golly, Spiro Shock Goodness knows where some teachers get their ideas from nowadays.

Dd's teacher was only late 20' s so you wouldn't think something like that would happen. She has a burning desire to work with children with special needs (which she has since left the school to do) so I suspect she was over-analysing & seeing things that weren't really there.

Luckily her teacher this year is fabulous Grin

My poor friend was sooo looking forward to getting shot of her ds's reception teacher, but she moved up to year one & took the class with her Confused!

SupermassiveLBD · 09/05/2011 21:10

I suppose there are good and bad like in all walks of life. Some of the SB's teachers are great, some are totally up themselves, completely out of touch with reality. And some just muddle along.

To be fair I think DD's previous teacher will be very good in her new job. She spent a huge amount of time with the kids that most needed it and from what I can gather they all seem to be doing really well this year. Unfortunately the result of that in this case was that the brighter kids in the class got sidelined.

On her second day in Year 1 - DD came home & said 'I like Miss New Teacher better than the old one because she really listens to me."

TheSmallPrint · 09/05/2011 21:32

Can I just interupt the school talk with this high brow observation..

Lucas is Hot.

as you were.

SupermassiveLBD · 09/05/2011 21:41

Are we watching Spooks 9, then, Small?

for Small's Lucas theorem.

yes he is! Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/05/2011 21:43

Hotter than July

::salutes Small as fellow Intellectual and Deep Thinker::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/05/2011 21:45

I was thinking of that vid earlier when Map of the Problematique popped up on the iPod. I like it but thought it had got a collective thumbs down from the Academy?

Spiro - He needs soup and blankets there!

::Straying outside my subject specialism here::

I think Massive well & truly knocked my effort into a cocked hat there - I could actually feel my blood pressure rising while I was watching that vid!

DumSpiroSpero · 09/05/2011 21:49

Is there an RA vid to 'Fever'?

TheSmallPrint · 09/05/2011 21:49

And did anyone notice that he has the same navy blue sheets on his bed when with Maya as he did at his flat with Sarah? Does the man only have one set of flattering bed linen?

SupermassiveLBD · 09/05/2011 21:51

The only this wrong with MOTP is too much Sarah Caulfield, perhaps. I do like the bit with the eyes coming at you, one pair after another. And the music, natch.

Maud, I forgot to thank you for the Gizzy Vid earlier. He says thank you too
Doesn't he look cheerful?

SupermassiveLBD · 09/05/2011 21:51

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 09/05/2011 21:51

Would it be terribly wrong to freeze frame the DVD and snog the tele?

DumSpiroSpero · 09/05/2011 21:54

'Course not, Small. Might be a bit odd that you feel the need to tell us about it though Grin.

Well I am among friends so why wouldn't I discuss with like minded loonies ladies? Grin

I think he has put it in his rider (sp?) along with red M&Ms and White lilies in his dressing room.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/05/2011 21:58

No, Spiro. .

Yes, Small, it would. Step away from the telly now or you may have to be sedated.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/05/2011 22:01

Oops. Massive beat me to it.

::Worries that Small has been electrocuted and not by the supercharged Lucas smoulder::

TheSmallPrint · 09/05/2011 22:09

I haven't actually done it, I was just wondering god knows if I'll be able to stop myself if we ever get a 3D tele .

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/05/2011 22:13

So you say, Small, so you say.
