And there's a video out about The Hobbit ???

DumSpiroSpero · 14/04/2011 12:35

Don't step away Massive - it is gorgeous. I think hime speaking Maori is almost on a par with the Olde English in LOTN.

Also worth watching for the comedy moment after his bit when Martin Freeman gets up to say a few words dressed like he's auditioning for Dr Who, followed by Andy Serkis in is mocap suit which looks like a grey babygro - hilarious Grin!

DumSpiroSpero · 14/04/2011 12:37

Small, I have just had to have to vid on fullscreen with the still from Spooks9.3 in another window to compare and contrast. Think the Hobbit shirt might be slightly darker, but it could be the lighting. All looks very similar and equally thud-inducing anyway.

SupermassiveLBD · 14/04/2011 12:44

LOL @ Spiro's meticulous photographical evaluation. The true spirit of serious research is demonstrated here by such indefatigable rigour!

DumSpiroSpero · 14/04/2011 13:10

It's tough job but someone's got to do it Grin!

Go on - do the vid - you know you want to. If you start it about 6.45 minutes in you'll just get the Maori ceremony on the day of filming which is the bit he's in for a minute or two.

TheSmallPrint · 14/04/2011 13:29

Spiro, I suspect his entire wardrobe is thus;

2 x long sleeve shirts - black
2 x long sleeve shirts - navy
2 x long sleeve shirts - light blue
2 x floppy shirt - White
2 x floppy shirt - black
2 x long sleeve tshirt - blue
2 x long sleeve tshirt - black

1 x short sleeve shirt with straining buttons - black

3 x Jeans - blue
1 x belt - brown

1 x short utility jacket - black
1 x denim jacket - blue

2 x cravat - white
1 x cravat - black

1 x wooly hat
1 x flat cap

TheSmallPrint · 14/04/2011 13:29

Did I think about that too much?

TheSmallPrint · 14/04/2011 13:30

Quite easy to pack for NZ though.

TheSmallPrint · 14/04/2011 13:30

He could probably leave the cravats and floppy shirts at home for when Maud's round.

DumSpiroSpero · 14/04/2011 13:42

Don't forget the black & white 3/4 coat her wore at the 24 hour plays and the Gisborne costume he talks about buying in one of the vids on YouTube.

TheSmallPrint · 14/04/2011 13:52
Grin
SupermassiveLBD · 14/04/2011 15:46

Oh golly! You know what I have just done, don't you?

I was so proud ! What dignity and gavitas as well as looking so devastatingly handsome, he outshone everyone in sight. Nice to see him not lurking in the background for once.

SupermassiveLBD · 14/04/2011 15:48
TheSmallPrint · 14/04/2011 16:07

am I allowed to say that Aidan Turner looked quite nice now his beard and hair have been tidied up?

SupermassiveLBD · 14/04/2011 17:04

Whyever not, Small, after all my incoherent and mis-spelt babbling? Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 14/04/2011 17:11

Testing

DumSpiroSpero · 14/04/2011 17:13

Working again thank God!

I thought exactly the same Small re AT.

Fret not Massive - I also lost the ability to type after watching that vid. The whole calm, confident and in control vibe is incredibly sexy!

Some considerate person has already done this Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 14/04/2011 17:20

By golly, that is what I call devotion quick off the mark!

SupermassiveLBD · 14/04/2011 17:23

He's looking in good form, isn't he?

TheSmallPrint · 14/04/2011 17:23

I meant to say earlier, what the hell was Martin Freeman wearing?? His trousers were several inches too short and it's not like he's so tall tha he couldn't find ones to fit.

unbelievable how quickly those Net folk getthose screen caps up! Glad they do though, where would our research be without them? Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 14/04/2011 17:35

TBH I'm too busy swooning to notice much else.
Check this one out...

DumSpiroSpero · 14/04/2011 17:43

I feel a song coming on...

Grin Blush

SupermassiveLBD · 14/04/2011 17:57

So elegant, in a crowd of scruff bags.

I need an antidote quick. Gizzy, take me away from all this and save me!

PassTheTwiglets · 14/04/2011 17:58

Massivre, I thought exactly the same thing! How strange, to feel proud of someone you don't even know! And yes, the dignity, the way he holds himself

Yay, they have a screencap of that little giggle I referred to. And I was surprisingly pleased to see that he is wearing bootcut jeans, after having recently gone through a 'bootleg or straight' dilemma when buying jeans for DrTwigs :)

Massive, I was going to link to that photo too - his little hands are very cute in that. Oh Lord, now I've really lost the plot...

I really like this one too. Oh to be in that line-up and see those eyes looming towards you...

Small, I loved your inventory of the RA wardrobe :) I am now thinking of my own version of this toy, which MissTwiglets has :o

Although the parent in me was thinking "what about nits!" when they got to that 'head-touching' part :o
