Well, this should guarantee us some visitors if it comes up on 'Most Active'.

one for the mantelpiece

Ok, the next 2 aren't John Standring, but it would be rude not to...

Is that the original version of that song?

PassTheTwiglets · 30/03/2011 21:00

LOL @ Spiro and Small :o

Come on then, Spiro - where's the Percy vid?!?!

TheSmallPrint · 30/03/2011 21:01

Heelllloooooooo!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/03/2011 21:03

I have no idea - I know nothing about the Lightning Seeds. (You have to remember I'd never heard of Muse until introduced to them here). I will go and do some research on Google in the Faculty of Musicology.

PassTheTwiglets · 30/03/2011 21:03

and @ Massive for the original joke, of course :)

Am now trying very hard not to think of licking chocolate sauce off Lucas.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/03/2011 21:08

Aha. The Professor of Google Musicology tells me it was originally by The Turtles. Groovy baby!

PassTheTwiglets · 30/03/2011 21:17

Smallster, did you have a chat with MrSmall about Disney - what did he say, if so? If you're going to go I would book soon as the prices could go up the closer it gets and also train availability might run out. It's a lot of cash but if I were you I'd just close your eyes and go for it!

SupermassiveLBD · 30/03/2011 21:19

Evening all

TheSmallPrint · 30/03/2011 21:32

Oh you've all appeared!

Twigs we have discussed and decided a grand is too much for 2 days away I. France. Oh well. Don't think I didn't notice what you did there btw. Grin
Thanks for looking that up Maud cos I was too lazy I didn't think it was the original I used to love that song.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/03/2011 21:34

::Throws another log on the fire::

TheSmallPrint · 30/03/2011 21:35

Ooh cheese longoo is much better! Grin

anyone opened the Gizzy yet?

TheSmallPrint · 30/03/2011 21:38

Maud that photo makes my stomach flip, particularly after watching the scene again last night

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/03/2011 21:40

You saucy minxes have reminded me of the bit in (I think) The Glittering Prizes by Frederic Raphael where one of the female characters says that when she met some man (details of the plot are now a little hazy) she thought he was so gorgeous that she wanted to cover him in strawberry jam and lick it off again.

SupermassiveLBD · 30/03/2011 21:40

anyone opened the Gizzy yet?

Oh, you mean that Wine Gizzy!

PassTheTwiglets · 30/03/2011 21:40

It is almost 4 days, Small. You'd have the first afternoon and evening there, then the next 2 full days, and then up til about 6pm on the last day. You'll be able to get it cheaper at other times of the year.

Hard day, Massive?

Golly Maud, I think I need to turn my central heating down after that! Something I've never noticed in that pic before is how his Peter Pointer* finger is squishing her ear. I don't know why I just wibbled at that, but wibble I did.

  • tries very hard not to link to the 'Outside the Radio 1 building' photo :o
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/03/2011 21:41

::Cranks up the thermostat::

There is nothing like it, is there, Small?

::Swigs Polish cordial through a straw::

PassTheTwiglets · 30/03/2011 21:43

No Gizzy for me since Sunday now (doesn't sound long but that's long for me!)

Maud, that bit in turn reminds me of Jo Brand's joke about her ultimate fantasy. She says something about covering herself in whipped cream and chocolate sauce and then kicking her husband out of the room and eating it all herself :)

SupermassiveLBD · 30/03/2011 21:43

I saw a nice phrase today , about a man so gorgeous he would ''give a nun erotic dreams'' Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/03/2011 21:45

I love Jo Brand. She and I were once pushing our tots in adjacent swings in the park, which virtually makes us sisters, I like to think.

SupermassiveLBD · 30/03/2011 21:47

It didn't mention the chocolate sauce, however, did it?

DumSpiroSpero · 30/03/2011 21:48

Evening Ladies!

Just back, all Zumba'd out, will catch up on thread in a minute but thought you'd like first.

Watch from 8.40 if you want to cut to the chase Grin

And then there was Alfie Moon! Cor love a duck!

PassTheTwiglets · 30/03/2011 21:54

Bless you for the 'cut to the chase' bit. she knows me so weeeell... :o

DumSpiroSpero · 30/03/2011 22:00

I saw it way before Christmas and only remembered the first few seconds. Nearly fell out of bed when I watched it again this morning - bit much for 7am even by my standards (although I'm sure in the case of a certain person I'd be more than willing to make an exception Wink)

''give a nun erotic dreams''

Or to paraphrase a certain scene from Strikeback...

"You are a good man sent by God...now how about we road test that theory?" Grin

Maud - re the jam - have you read the latest additions to 'Truce' yet?
