Well I did at first but then hysteria took over :)

DumSpiroSpero · 19/03/2011 16:05

You & me both Small. She certainly doesn't get it from me, as far as u can recall I've always needed digging out of bed with a shovel.

Tbh I can cope with early mornings better than DD having late nights. I have to be up 5 days a week anyway and at weekends I just decamp to the sofa with a big fluffy throw and let the telly take over Blush

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/03/2011 16:27

Hi de hi.

You will all be thrilled to know that we have just bought a huge telly, all the better to watch North and South improving documentaries about Mongolian yak farming.

::Thinks: It's a good job you saucy ladies weren't in the shop to overhear the argument about it's too big ... no it isn't ... the bigger the better ... what's another 2 inches? ...::

Hello, Maudie! congrats on your new acquirement. I know you will be thrilled by the improved thudding opportunities provided by the larger screen.

Who said size doesn't matter?

They are due back any time now, must go.

::Stomps around in his big boots::

::smoulders::

Let me take you away from all this, Massive.

You know I'll be waiting for you.

DumSpiroSpero · 19/03/2011 17:08

Happy new telly, Maud!

I love that first pic of Gizzy on his horse. Did you see the recent interview with James Nesbitt saying how good RA is on a horse? I have got no idea why I find it so sexy that he's good at horseriding as I am not remotely 'horsey' and never have been Hmm

PassTheTwiglets · 19/03/2011 17:39

Oooooh, that second photo is fabulous!!

DumSpiroSpero · 19/03/2011 17:45

Just read that Hobbit filming is expected to continue into 2012 - wish they'd just get a friggin' move on...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/03/2011 18:45

The lighting in that second photo is remarkable, isn't it?

Where was the interview? Unless it was in one of the weekend broadsheets I probably missed it. I think I'm a little bit allergic to JN, who's another of our local slebs. Some of the mums at pre-school used to hyperventilate at the thought.

Spiro - Just google horse + Freud!

DumSpiroSpero · 19/03/2011 18:50

It was via a link on Twitter Maud.

Had I better wait until I've stiff drink in.my hand to google?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/03/2011 19:01

Probably not, Spiro. It'll be a load of stuff about Oedipal complexes.

Ah, but shall we open the Chateau Gizzy anyway?

SupermassiveLBD · 19/03/2011 19:06

Thanks from the bottom of my pore wizened heart for the pix. The second one looks just like he's loitering in my shed. With intent. As I've already exceeded my naughtiness quota for the day, I'll say no more.

P.S.Good on a horse? I couldn't posssibly comment.

DumSpiroSpero · 19/03/2011 19:06

Ok, have googled. That was not what I was expecting and quite freakishly relevant to something I've got going on my life at the moment. V. Weird Confused

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/03/2011 19:38

Drat. Missed Massive again. Something nasty naughty in the woodshed, indeed.

::Starts to wonder what Freudian situation Spiro has got going on in her life but banishes all such thoughts from her mind and goes in search of the gardening section of the paper::

DumSpiroSpero · 19/03/2011 19:48

Just the age old battle between what you want to do and what you should do, Maud - nothing interestingly Freudian! Grin

TheSmallPrint · 19/03/2011 20:02

Congrats on the new tv Maud, you can watch Australia now and see the glorious sweaty naked torso acting of HJ Grin

I'm not a huge James Nesbitt fan, he always comes across as slightly self satisfied and smug which is not attractive to me.

DumSpiroSpero · 19/03/2011 20:04

We are watching Robin Hood - the animated Disney version. DD has just pointed out that Little John sounds like Thomas O'Malley from the Aristocats and a quick check on Wiki has proved her absolutely right - same actor!

DumSpiroSpero · 19/03/2011 20:09

Agree about James Nesbitt btw. There was something in the tone of the interview and what he said about RA that made me think there may be a bit of Alpha male jealousy going on there. After all, last time they worked together was on Cold Feet & JN was the big star...bit of a turnaround now.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/03/2011 20:10

Now that we've blown all this cash on a massive, 3D hot-and-cold-running-water telly, the original one is behaving itself. Ah well. And yes, I will be able to appreciate every nuance of Mr J's fine musculature thespian skills.

Of course, bringing this all back to Our Reason For Being Here, one of the reasons I never watched Cold Feet was because I find JN very irritating. It was bad enough when he used to advertise Yellow Pages.

::Knocks back the Chateau Gizzy::

TheSmallPrint · 19/03/2011 20:13

I'm waiting for you Maud!

I would imagine he is a tad envious of Our Man these days, can't blame him I suppose, must be hard for him.

We watched RH again this morning, Smallboy is coming in useful!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/03/2011 20:16

Have him washed and brought to my tent!

TheSmallPrint · 19/03/2011 20:18

When I've finished with himWink

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 19/03/2011 20:27

Fair does. I can find other ways of passing the time.

TheSmallPrint · 19/03/2011 20:42

Yes, I can see how the hours would simply fly by! Grin

TheSmallPrint · 19/03/2011 20:56

Anyone seen Defiance? Just watching now. It has Wolverine's brother in it.
