10lb?!!!

I thought DD was a heffer at 8lb 13!

How is Smallboy now? Touch wood I'm quite lucky with DD on the ailments front (although she is a bit of a drama queen so do apply a generous pinch of salt to.most of her complaints).

Homes from Hell on ITV at the moment - that narrator sounds familiar Grin

TheSmallPrint · 14/03/2011 22:46

Right, time for bed. I suspect tomorrow will be a long day. Night all.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/03/2011 22:48

Oh dear about SmallBoy Major. Perhaps a good night's sleep will cure all?

Speaking of which, I need an early night as Bloke is off on an awayday tomorrow so I will be in sole charge of getting Girl out of bed and into the bathroom. I refuse to think about it anymore or the potential for precision weeing as an event at the Academy sports day.

So instead,

Goodnight all!

10lb 1oz to be accurate! That was Smallboy Minor, Major was a mere 8lb 7oz He went to bed with no dinner very pale but with flushed cheeks IYKWIM.

Now I'm going to have to turn the tele back on!

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 22:53

It's funny his voice sounds completely different doing this to, for instance, the Santander ad or audiobooks.

SupermassiveLBD · 14/03/2011 22:56

Goodnight Maud, I shall be thinking of you tomorrow trying to organise the sample.

Am very amused at Massive's formula: married + parent = no horror to which one hasn't been exposed. (Are we all married, by the way, or are some of us Living In Sin?) Girl was 8lb 15oz, of which I was very proud as all the younger ladies in our antenatal group produced weedy sweet little babies of about 6lb whereas I - old and past-it - produced a stonking great baby.

I am too much of a lightweight to sit through Homes From Hell just because of The Voice. I really am going to bed now.

Did anyone catch his narration of the program about the Ark Royal? Or some such big boat?

Looks as though I literally got off lightly with the Superboys. You'd never think it to look at them now, the great lummocks.

Hello sailor

DumSpiroSpero · 14/03/2011 23:11

Will have to have a nose at the links when I'm on the pc tomorrow. Is too bloody cold to venture in there at the mo.

Good luck tomorrow Maud & sweet dreams one & all.

SupermassiveLBD · 14/03/2011 23:11

He joined the navy, to see the world
and what did he see
He saw the sea

Sorry, I seem to have forgotten to say goodnight to you, too, Small. The posts have whizzed by tonight and I didn't keep up too well.
Spiro, Phoenix, same to you too, if you're going and I didn't catch you either.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 14/03/2011 23:39

No, I was watching the last episode of Being Human on my super duper new telly sniff

Night to all who are going / gone...

SupermassiveLBD · 15/03/2011 10:52

Good morning ladies! I can't believe I am the first in. It's a lovely sunny day here for once but here I am hunched over the computer. I am a woman who gets her priorities right.

I do hope GardenGirl and SmallBoy Major are doing okay. I know it's wrong to bribe children with sweeties, but maybe the mummies could benfit from a big bag of

And a nice cup of tea...

DumSpiroSpero · 15/03/2011 10:59

Morning Massive - how goes it?

I too am hunched over the PC and about to upload the next 2 chapters of 'Sparkys' before enjoying the pick and mix you've so thoughtfully provided Grin!

SupermassiveLBD · 15/03/2011 11:17

Oh hurray, more Sparkhouse. I wonder what sort of sweeties that would be like? I hae been so long away that I have forgooten which toffees they like best Oop North.

A weird thing happened to me just now. After the pick and mix vid I clicked back to my email window but all of a sudden Guy's voice started coming out of the speakers-- or earphones, luckily today. Obviously a RH vid had started playing by itself, but it was uncanny to hear him like that, As if he doesn't haunt me enough anyway.Wink He was just finding out that Marian is the Nightwatchman too. Sad

DumSpiroSpero · 15/03/2011 11:27

Thoroughly enjoyed the pick and mix Massive, and also found

SupermassiveLBD · 15/03/2011 11:41

Very sweet indeed, Spiro, and the lyrics were kinda cheesily apt, gawd 'elp me Grin

Going back to the involuntary exposure to Guy, a minute or so ago, just being able to hear his voice, without seeing the visual aspect of his performance, really brings home the depths of meaning he can get into his words.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 15/03/2011 11:48

Wow, three more Sparkhouse chappies! And I am up to my eyes in other stuff that must be dealt with first. Grrr!

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 15/03/2011 12:53

I know what you mean about the voice. I have just road tested the CD's I've done of LOTN and listened to the bit from Beowulf at the very beginning...

TheSmallPrint · 15/03/2011 14:12

Afternoon ladies. Smallboy Major is lying on my office floor on his beanbag reading.

I am now off to read the new chapters...

DumSpiroSpero · 15/03/2011 14:14

Just seen this on Twitter...

Richard Armitage & Vicki Treadall, British High Commissioner at charity cricket match for NZ earthquake appeal

On how many levels is it wrong that while I was waiting for the picture to load, I was silently uttering the mantra "please don't be young and attractive, please don't be young and attractive, please don't be young and attractive...?"

Blush
DumSpiroSpero · 15/03/2011 14:15

Bless him. Is he 'poorly-poorly' or just under the weather?

I'm a great believer in kids (and adults tbh) needing the odd duvet day though Grin

TheSmallPrint · 15/03/2011 14:33

Strangely I wouldn't mind him being with someone young and attractive, it's not like he's waiting for me to turn up Grin

I did notice that the beard is gone. Does that mean prosthetics?! Sad

He's a bit under the weather. He's eating today and a bit more spritely but very pale and dark eyes, not a lot of energy.
