::Interrupts wibble to say hello to Small::

Theresaholeinyourmind · 23/01/2011 20:34

So you had a good time then, Small, apart from all the oldies rsttling their pop-corn packets?

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 23/01/2011 20:38

Yes, TKS is the first film in several years to tempt my Aged Parents to the picture house. But I'm surprised that you saw Slumdog with the wrinklies, Small. When I saw it (in West End art house cinema, natch) I was surrounded by hip young gunslingers of which I am clearly one.

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:40

We had a very nice time. The oulaws had the boys from mid afternoon so we did a bit of relaxed shopping / coffe drinking and then went to cinema (nearly crushed in the stampede for the best seats) and then off for some Italian nosh and home to bed in the knowledge that the Smallboys would descend on GPs in the morning rather than us Grin.

So, what have I missed?

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 23/01/2011 20:40

::Ashamed to admit she was wibbling at topless Guy and his torso and doubly ashamed because she knows the BBT armour is not far away::

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:41

Techno you live in a hip part of town. I live in the sticks where the most popular mode of transport is the Stannah Stairlift.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 23/01/2011 20:44

::snort:: at where the most popular mode of transport is the Stannah Stairlift.

Small - I do not live in a hip part of town (see earlier comments re police helicopter) but hip areas are nearby and easy to get to. In fact, I live in hope that the hipness of adjoining ares will soon reach us.

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:47

They will Techno, they will!

Ahh how I fondly remember being woken up at 2am on a work day by a police helicopter hovering over the house with it's search beam coming through the curtains as they search for the car theif who just dumped the car outside my house

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:48

thief even.

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 23/01/2011 20:49

Hey all!! Unfortunately I can't view any of the WMD at the mo', will have to save them for another time.

Glad you liked The King's Speech, I saw it a few weeks ago, and thought it was very good indeed. Have you seen Black Swan with Natalie Portman - that is another current movie that sticks in my mind, bit of a psychological drama...and very well done.

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:50

Hi Pheonix, no, Black Swan was our alternative choice if TKS was full. I would like to see it though.

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:50

spelt Phoenix wrong too. Blush

Theresaholeinyourmind · 23/01/2011 20:51

Wibbling at Guy is permissable, as he is rather lovely. Even with the dreaded BBTA factor

Here's a painfully shameful confession of my own, I was just reading one of those fan fic thingies Shock - well it has been a desperate sort of day- and for once the characterisation sort of rang true in an alternate universe kind of way.

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:51

My exciting schedule for this evening involves Wild at Heart.

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:52

LINK!!!

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 23/01/2011 20:53

Oh, Teri, which fanfic were you reading - a Guy one? There seem to be a lot of those...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 23/01/2011 20:54

Will PM you, Small!

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 23/01/2011 20:54

I was keen to see Black Swan until I heard Deborah Bull putting the boot elegant ballet shoe into it on the steam radio. I am still v keen to see TKS, though.

::Offers to send the police helicopter round Small's way, for old times' sake::

But then, we like helicopters, non?

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:55

I don't judge Theresa Grin

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 23/01/2011 20:55

Ooh Small, I haven't seen Wild at Heart, but I know it's a David Lynch movie, so I imagine it is a bit strange (has anyone else seen Mulholland Drive?)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 23/01/2011 20:56

Fraid so, Phoenix. Blush How low have I sunk Shock

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:57

See now Techno, if the good Dr had been in the chopper I wouldn't have been quite so grumpy at the regular disturbance.

Helicopters only one of many reasons to leave the big smoke for the slightly less smoky.

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:57

Hahahha Phoenix, I'm talking about the cheap ITV 'drama' Grin

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 23/01/2011 20:58

There's a drama called Wild at Heart...sorry - off my wavelength...

TheSmallPrint · 23/01/2011 20:59

My David Lynch stretched to Twin peaks only, I was an avid fan. Didn't have a clue what was going on but enjoyed it anyway!
