Just in case no one opens a better one

Morning!

I only have N&S and Strikeback on DVD. No purchased audio only Clarrisa downloaded off that site and library copy of Sylvester which I still haven't listened to properly. I couldn't sleep the other night so listened to it on my phone but thenfell asleep to a soothing voice!!

MrsLucasNorth · 14/01/2011 07:49

Was just thinking - if Twigs cleaner is easily distracted now I do hope she's locked her new stash of goodies away...Grin!

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 14/01/2011 08:41

Sorry I disappeared last night - was so tired - being back at work this week has taken it out of me

PassTheTwiglets · 14/01/2011 09:29

Tee hee MrsLN! I came back from the school run the other day and she was looking at my cookery books!

I am out tonight and tommorrow night so will be off comms for a while. I have a 40-min train journey tonight so have my first ever opportunity to do some archive research away from home. I cannot tell you how excited I am :)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 12:21

Hello, all. I am loving the story of Twiggy's reluctant cleaner and her extra-curricular activites. But who could blame her if she gets distracted by Twiggy's goodies?

SmallPrint looks like winning the Oscar for the most disciplined academician. I found the trouble with listening to the audio books at night was when he stops being soothing and goes for the smoulder. Then I find myself jerking awake all of a sudden.

Nice but hardly restful.

What research material are you taking with you on your journey, Twiggy? Do tell, and then we can imagine enjoying it along with you.

I am addicted to my Food Porn and have waaaaay too many cookery books. The leaner spent about 15 mins discussing the Hummingbird Bakery book the other day - that's nice love, but just clean the sodding bath, would you?

As for research material, harumph, I don't think I can now. I've just realised that I have no idea how to get stuff onto the phone and not enough time to sort it out. Also don't know how much will fit onto it. So maybe I will just play on YouTube.

MrsLucasNorth · 14/01/2011 13:10

Twigs a word of warning - not all YouTube vids work on mobile which can be very disappointing!

Womanizer, Rude Boy and Never Never Gonna Give you up do though, and the Strikeback one from last night - that should keep you occupied for about half your journey! Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 14/01/2011 14:03

Womanizer is one of my faves :)

I may possibly be transferring Episode 1 of RH1 onto the phone. Or I may be doing something else altogether (I am a complete techno-dunce). Even if it works I have no idea how much my memory card will hold... maybe I'm being stupid expecting a 45 minute show to fit on the card when you can really only get about 3 minutes :)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 14:35

Oh Twiggy, that is me too. Every so often I make an effort and try to catch up with things. but then take my mind off the ball and things move on again so far as to be unrecognisable.

I am getting very interested in iPhones...I couldn't download all the vids I wanted though because YT won't let me see some of them for copyright ishoos. Womaniser being a case in point. Rude Boy seems okay though. It is rather rude, isn't it? Grin

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 14/01/2011 15:42

Grin at Twigs clip. Although strangely Rowan Atkinson in leather trousers does nothing for me...Hmm

I love Rude Boy!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 16:30

I didn't say I didn't love Rude Boy MrsLN Grin

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 14/01/2011 16:40

Just out of interest... which were the bits you thought especially rude?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 17:06

The rude parts were the lyrics, MrsLN. The visuals were art and poetry. Something as lovely as that could never be rude. Mind you, Lee is a borderline case. Grin

MrsLucasNorth · 14/01/2011 17:08

I only ask cos there are a few clips in that one where he has a particular expression on his face and my imagination runs riot every time Blush

Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 17:16

Now I'll have to go and have another look at it, though not having much imagination myself, I shall probably have no idea what you're talking about. Grin

''Imagination is funny
It makes a cloudy day sunny
It makes a bee think of honey...''

Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 17:40

WEll, MrsLN, , you might think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 14/01/2011 17:45

You've obviously caught my drift then, Theresa. May have to compare notes on timings later Wink!

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 14/01/2011 17:54

Syncing vids to a smartphone will be the same as syncing music.

Obviously you need to obtain the content first - try RA Fanvids.

For complete episodes from a DVD you will need some ripping software.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 18:00

Phoenix, where would you advise a total beginner to go to learn all this? Other than ask the nearest ten year old boy?

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 20:41

Ladies, if you like Lucas, you will thud mightily at this

Look at the eyes!

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 14/01/2011 20:53

Saw that on Twitter earlier - yummy! Am just watching Spooks 8.1. Lucas is wearing a v. lovely close fitting dark blue v-neck t-shirt...

TheSmallPrint · 14/01/2011 21:04
Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 21:12

Lucas should so have been a Tolkien elf, he has just the looks for it.

He is lovely all through S8, it's a wibble a minute!

What news, Small? Hope you are OK, in view of the dragging.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 14/01/2011 21:16

No news just shattered. Really not been sleeping well and small boys are being 'challenging'. Think I am a bit stressed with work. Sad

Theresaholeinyourmind · 14/01/2011 21:21

Wish I could help, Small. How do kids know when we aren't at our best and act up even more, accordingly? I suppose it's a survival mechanism, I know they don't do it on purpose.

I wonder how Twiggy's train journey is going?
All the ladies in her carriage gathered round her phone and thudding at her vids?
