Thank you, Theresa! And thanks to you ladies for the b'day fishes last night!

I am sulking - I am trying to twirt with TTL (you're allowed on your birthbut he's having none of it. Harumph.

PassTheTwiglets · 12/01/2011 12:05

oops, forgot a bracket and half of my sentence :) Never mind, JP will be more amenable later, I'm sure :)

Oh, LOL'd at my b'day card from DH which said it was from "DH and Barry The Goblin" :o

PartyPeaches · 12/01/2011 12:23

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWIGLETS!

Hope you have a great day Smile

PassTheTwiglets · 12/01/2011 12:37

Thank you, Peaches!

That was a lovely vid, Theresa...

Oh, guess what my lovely DH bought me?! A swizzy android phone with internet!! He said "there - now you can Mumsnet to your heart's content" :) So - I shall be requiring intel on how to save important research documents to one's phone later!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/01/2011 13:18

Oooh what a lovely present, Twigs, what a gem your DH is. Amazing what a bit of competition does to ginger the menfolk up --obviously I am referring to Barry the Goblin.
Neither TTL nor JP respond to my offers of doughnuts, muffins etc so I have, like, totally given up on them
I hope you have better luck yourself. Maybe it takes vodka...

BTW MrsLN, I hope your DH is getting better, also that you haven't caught whatever it is he has.

Woo hoo! Twigs, you aren't the only one celebrating! You'll never guess who has just arrived at my door, all the way from 12th century Nottingham. A clue? You bet!

Now, what do I order next? Decisions, decisions...

PassTheTwiglets · 12/01/2011 14:56

Woot-woot to ruffians from Nottingham!! Enjoy, Theresa!!

I have amazon parcels here which I am waiting to open when Dr Twiglets comes home... :)

TheSmallPrint · 12/01/2011 15:00

Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/01/2011 15:18

How exciting, Twiggy, I can't wait to unwrap mine and I know what's in there!. Sunne in splendour too, to read when I have finished my current book.

Good afternoon, SmallPrint.

TheSmallPrint · 12/01/2011 15:22

Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/01/2011 15:26

SP, I think the predictive text demon has struck at our Phoenix!

I have to buy my own pressies too. But hey it saves having to pretend to be grateful for rubbish gifts so at not to hurt their feelings

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 12/01/2011 15:32

Can't you set up an Amazon wish list and give to you DH? Grin

MrsLucasNorth · 12/01/2011 15:32

Twigs - what phone have you got? Mine's an HTC Desire - it's fab!

TheSmallPrint · 12/01/2011 15:33

Pah, IPhone is much better than these cheap clones Wink

MrsLucasNorth · 12/01/2011 15:35

Hello SmallPrint - am still trying to think of a new name. Have had a couple of ideas but have got used to being MrsLN Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/01/2011 15:41

Can't think of a new name either. I shall maybe wait now till the next new thread.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 12/01/2011 15:50

I gave you a great name Mrs LN, don't you remember? Grin

MrsLucasNorth · 12/01/2011 16:00

Jog my memory SmallPrint we get through so many names on here....Confused

Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/01/2011 16:02

Are they worth all the extra money though, SmallPrint? What sort of bang do you get for your buck?

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 12/01/2011 16:03

The Russian Widow Grin

Yes they are Theresa, can't explain, they just are.

MrsLucasNorth · 12/01/2011 16:09

My DH went into latest iPhone vs. Android extensively before we got ours (bored me senseless) and reckoned Android was the better option. He's got quite a few friends in teccie jobs that have gone for Android over iPhone too.

Having seen my friends iPhone I think it just depends what you want it for - can't see much difference myself.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 12/01/2011 16:10

Must go and check them out then, Small. Golly what with that and the iPod I want -- not the Shuffle in case it plays inadvertent Lovelace in unsuitable situations- , I am going to need some serious cash here. And think of all the stuff I need from Amazon.
