BTW I was informed today that my copy of BtS has been despatched...so that and CF are now on the way, no news on my RH audiobooks yet though...I'm going to have to keep a sharp lookout for the postman over the next fee days, and hopefully intercept arriving parcels...

BTW a very kind person sent me a Little Guy!!! I got it before Chrrstmas! All brand new and all.. I haven't taken it out of the packet yet. It's hidden!!! OMG!

Has anyone else caught Anne Rice's FB posts about wanting Richard to play Lestat (a vampire character in several of her books, the character played by Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire).

I was just wondering what other people think about that? Especially if you have read any of the books.

I've not read them myself, nor seen that film. Also I am rather weary of vampire movies, so I'm rather ambivalent about the idea.

Oyster, I think it was mentioned here a day or so ago. IIRC the consensus was 'not too keen on the idea' , though gratified of course that AR appreciates a fine actor Grin

I read Interview with the Vampire years ago, or rather started it but was so bored with it I couldn't finish it and didn't pick up any of the others in consequence.

I do think Mr Armitage does a great pale and interesting look however, and if I had to choose a vampire to get bitten by, you know who would be top of my list...

Hello ladies. I am Shock at Stripey's 'contest' pic of Daniel Craig. I really liked him but in that photos he is starting to look more than a little like Sid James!!! I love RPJ too and feel completely the same wrt "men who are too pretty except for him"!

Oyster, when we discussed Lestat a while back I said that I thought he would be a better Louis. But I may be biased because I like Louis better than Lestat. How funny about your little plastic Guy! And how nice of someone to send him to you.

TBH there are all sorts of little plastic people in Chateau Theresa, including sundry Action Men and Jedi Knights, but I claim no ownership of them. The plastic Mr Spock is a different matter.

As for vampires, imho the genre has been done to death in recent years and is getting a bit tacky. Am sure RA could find far more interesting and original projects to put his talents to.
