That video is Awesome Missy! I left a comment ( tee hee ) not a very imaginative one, but spoken from the heart. Elvira is a stalwart of the RA vidders!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 24/12/2010 19:06

The first one is new today, I see.

I am still banned from entering the kitchen - The Poet (who is very much a just in time kind of guy) is in there wrapping presents - so have to amuse myself by ransacking the basement looking for seasonal goodies. It's a dirty job but someone's got to do it. Anything you want to bring to the feast?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 19:18

How long does it take to make one of those vids,Oyster? Do you know?

YT a bit better for me tonight but still s-l-o-w

Missy - I am overcome - all that brooding...

The pictures of Rufus Sewell and Sean Bean at the end were a little de trop I fear, but overall a wonderful Christmas treat.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 19:27

At last! Indeed,a veritable cornucopia of cravats, Missy. Muchas gracias!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 24/12/2010 19:28

Oyster, it's long been my view that - although the Academy has one, ahem, main area of study - we need to conduct some comparative research from time to time, bringing in reference material from other areas which can be juxtaposed with our main sources. If only to confirm that our priorities are correct.

Have you, for example, seen this less seasonal but nonetheless impressive

PrairieOyster · 24/12/2010 19:30

I don't know how long it takes - must depend on lots of factors - why don't you ask one of them @heathravideos and @bccmee and a few others are on Twitter.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 19:39

Just an idle thought, really, Oyster. Thanks for Brooders and Smoulderers 2 , Missy. The more I hear that song, the more I love it, to my huge surprise.

All that lovely snogging, sigh.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 19:42

Of course, we all know who is the B&S King.

PrairieOyster · 24/12/2010 19:43

Quite a lot of emphasis on hands in the video, at least at one point there was.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 24/12/2010 19:45

Me too, Holly. I never thought I would feel anything for a Coldplay song but contempt.

It occurs to me that instead of watching other people snogging I might approach The Poet with the bunch of mistletoe I bought this afternoon. Ho ho ho.

PrairieOyster · 24/12/2010 19:45

servetus just made a vid and I think was surprised how long it took.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 24/12/2010 19:47

Indeed he is King. But some of the Princes show promise. I was most especially delighted to see Mr Rickman in the first cravatarama.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 19:54

Might be okay if he has finished wrapping presents, Missy. Otherwise you might get the brush-off. Masculine inability to multi-task, doncha know.

Oyster, I suspect vidding is a true labour of love, loads of painstaking work for less than five minutes of product. Wish I could but fear I will never. Will have to stick to the scribbles.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 19:58

Chacun a son gout and all that, Mr R. doesn't quite do it for me, but I can see why he might please many, many ladies. Another fine nose, par example.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 24/12/2010 19:58

Don't get me started on the male of the species and its inability to multi-task. But do not dismiss your writing as scribbles, Holly. They have me transfixed. As you know. Ahem.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 24/12/2010 20:00

Mr Rickman has, a mon avis, a certain je ne sais quoi to ccomplement his fine profile. But taste is a highly individual thing, as I noticed on a thread where someone was swooning about (honestly) Bruce Grubby Vest Willis.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 20:01

Were you indeed, Missy? The rogue!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 20:04

Now BGVW had a certain baby-faced appeal in his Moonlighting days. But after that, thanks but no thanks.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 24/12/2010 20:08

Now who's a rogue?

Have we ever screened this film in the Academy? .

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 20:17

Well I have not seen this document, at least, Missy. I don't know if any other members of staff have studied it. I suppose I tend to shy away from S3 material

I wish Tansy would hurry up with that bathwater, I like him dirrty but not that dirrty.

I think you had some dealings with a rather rogueish mill-owner, not so long ago...

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 24/12/2010 20:20

Ah, yes. Although rogue isn't the first word that springs to mind.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 24/12/2010 20:31

Re and Lady G...

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 24/12/2010 20:37

Ah, dear dear Lady Gaga. The Oscar Wilde de nos jours.

MrsLucasNorthPole · 24/12/2010 20:38

Watching Miss Hale being Janey in My Family! Am sure they based Ben Harper on my DH!
