no, but to be fair to her she was married and intent on producing an heir to the Ure line by that point i think. it is fair to call her a supermodel so as to signify that she was one of the main 'faces' of her age in the UK, but it's flawed because there was no such thing yet.

sorry, but the fact that she didn't register on your radar, kittya, doesn't mean she was nobody. she was an old-fashioned 80s cover girl, and headed up some big brands as i recall.

I just remember her presanting some tv programe. Being a posh bird who dated well. Was she as much as a "supermodel" as Lisa Snowden or that other one Lisa Butcher or something? the only Supermodels are recall are the ones that did not get out of bed for less than 10 grand or whatever it was Linda said. And those girls rocked. And still do. My favourite was Helena. Annabel was not in their league. God, everytime I hear the name Annabel that annoying bloody song starts going around in my head!! Jennifer, Annabel, Phillipa Sue etc etc I'll be singing it all night now!

btw i looked it up and she was the face of max factor. so she'd have been the face of max f, isabella rossellini would have been plugging lancome and tresor etc, ines de la fressange was the face of another (or was it that strange carole woman)... so Giles was pretty high profile. any tv presenting was done post-marriage, so after her modelling career was ended. she was never A Supermodel, because like you say they were a distinct group of women. but you could say that Twiggy was never A Supermodel by the same token, when in fact she was and remains one of the most famous models that the world ever saw.

and shes still very good looking.
