Welcome to the new common room! Grab yourself some Twiglets and a glass of Chateau Gisborne or some Polish Cordial and come on in - the water's lovely!

Flowers, I searched for "gorgeous bloke looking like a twat"... :) Nah, I just searched "Richard Armitage" and then clicked on images and hey presto!

MrsLNPD, how lovely! Me too, hopefully - we can have watching parties! (oooh, how fun would it be to do that for real?!)

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 20:39

Drat. It was Annie Lennox singing Keep Young and Beautiful. As indeed I have. If you want to hear the song with saucier lyrics, see whether YT will permit you to view .

I imagine that Guy Gisborne of Telegraph fame has parents who consider themselves rather droll.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 20:46

Well, it's letting me see Go figure. Am waiting for it to load.

I wonder what vintage this Guy is. Obviously not circa 2006, but hopefully not this one

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 20:49

Ha! Now the boot's on the other foot and I can't see that for international copyright reasons.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 20:52

Well, Annie has a very chic sparkley dress on and wings a la Victoria's Secret.

MrsLucasNorthPole · 09/12/2010 21:06

Flowers, I searched for "gorgeous bloke looking like a twat"...

ROFL Xmas Grin

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:12

Annie is, I think, a deity.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:13

Twiggy - Don't you think that if we were to meet in real life it might break the spell?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 21:18

They'd look really good with the Lady Marmelade get-ups.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:20

So, is that (with the Lady Marmalade ensemble) our your costume for the Academy panto?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:22

Thinks: If there is to be a panto, we need a villain. Someone who can strut about, scowl and generally be menacing, and yet turn out to have a heart of gold.

Now who could we cast in that role?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 21:24

Golly the price of those corsets is criminal. £350??!! They're 'avin a larf!
Good job we're only doing it virtually.

I would willingly join in the S7 watching party when it starts.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 21:28

I think I'd look villainous enough for any panto in a corset and wings, TBH. Missy

But...
And instead of ''Look behind you'' we could all shout ''Look back at me''

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:31

Abanazar?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:32

How can we work a tea cup scene into the script?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 21:35

He wouldn't.......happen to have... a magic lamp... Would he?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:37
Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 21:43

You should have chosen another panto then. We could have had Cinderella. Or Snow White.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:45

Sorry. Was having trouble remembering the names of any panto villians.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 21:49

Now, a giant would be a nice change from being a dwarf. Allow him to stratch himself a bit.

Teacups, teacups... Afternoon tea chez Mr and Mrs Giant. With cucumber sarnies and fondant fancies?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:49

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 21:50

or even stretch

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 21:52

Or we could do Little Red Riding Hood. That might be almost familiar. And he could be the Wolf.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 21:59

Hungry like the wolf, forsooth.

And don't all pantos have

PassTheTwiglets · 09/12/2010 22:01

Holly, I read that as "scratch himself a bit" :o
