Ah well, don't worry. Like the sun over the yardarm,it is always after the 9pm watershed somewhere in the world. That one is rather a favourite of mine. don't quite dare use it as wallpaper on the laptop, mind you...
Nor this Not quite a nightingale in this blue moon Wink

I do apologise for leading you away from the light. I was suborned myself, you know. I used to be quiet, shy and respectable.

asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 13:43

So, Theresa, are you

I haven't strayed that far from the light. Not really.

Well, on hunger, I will say this, I am not so interested in my dinner these days. Which can only be good for an ex-glutton like me.

But on the other hand I am too distracted to carry out my RL tasks properly, I find myself doing daft things all the time like pouring the milk into the electric kettle.

I am in more than a bit of a state today, as it is crunch time on RH tonight. I just hope everyone will have gone out as they plan, and not change their minds and want to watch with me :(

So tonight...Sparkhouse, Golden Hour or more escapades with John Lucas...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 14:41

Are you back safe, Mrs LN? How is John Lucas? Bright-eyed and buahy tailed, one hopes.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 14:42

bushy, even!

asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 16:53

Hmm. I think in your circumstances, MrsLN, I would choose John Lucas. Or possibly Sparkhouse. Golden Hour as a last resort.

Oh dear, Theresa, about having to face That Moment tonight. I shan't be here to hold your hand, but will leave the Polish cordial and pile of lavender-scented hankies on the chiffonier.

MrsLucasNorth · 27/11/2010 17:19

Safely back Theresa, although had a couple of hairy moments part night getting from reception back to b & b on icy, uphill country lanes!
Bright eyed & bushy tailed - et no! Am sure an evening with our Mr Armitagewill sort me out though. Watched Cold Feet before we went - there's a few nice scenes in that although he's obviously going to turn out to be a bit of a player.

Think I will be mumsnetting (so many vids to catch up on!) and maybe thinking up some more adventures for JL!

asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 17:29

Well, my plans for the evening have just fallen apart, so looks like I shall be here once again. Still, looking on the bright side, this gives me time to find the smelling salts. I think Theresa may need them later.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 19:18

Any Polish Cordial left? Nah don't bother with a glass, just hand me the bottle.

FFS he has just killed someone, so why am I sniveling for him? His poor face...

It was all a huge tragedy, but of course, that's fiction for you, they like to pile on the agony.

Looking forward to seeing you ladies some time, anyway. I have something fun to share with you, that will take my mind off this evening's Traumatic Moment. It is sort of OT, though, so don't expect thrills.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 19:20

PS was Cold Feet the ''flirty Gertie'' one, Mrs LN?

asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 19:27

Oh dear, Theresa. I only know that scene from the vids, but it is sob-worthy. A moment's loss of control with irreversible consequences.

Yet each man kills the thing he loves
By each let this be heard,
Some do it with a bitter look,
Some with a flattering word,
The coward does it with a kiss,
The brave man with a sword!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 19:36

I don't know about brave, just tormented! My poor baby!Sad All I can say is it's good job I was forewarned.
Waaaaaaahhhhh!

Damned script-writers, playing a grown woman like me for a sucker. Blush

I don't know if we'll get season three straight off, not looking forward to that too much either.

I shall shall have to keep on with the vids, they are good for cheering me up.

asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 19:41

More Polish cordial, then?

I often suspect that we're being played for suckers, but hey. We may start series 2 when Strictly finishes in a moment.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 19:49

Fill 'er up!

Here's the bit of fun I mentioned earlier. I seemed to remember this existed and finally found it on YT.

. Watch at 2. 50 when the apples show up Grin
Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 19:51

Re the scriptwriters, may I say in a very soft whisper that a little of the guilt lies with a certain actor, for making us care.

asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 20:01

Here'a a fine pint goblet of mead Polish cordial, Theresa.

Oh, I say. Mr Finney before Daddy Warbucks. I had almost forgotten. How very, ahem, fruity.

OP posts:
asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 20:08

That's very true, Theresa, but I also think that reinforces my point that the scriptwriters know where our vulnerabilities are and then exploit them.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 20:17

Quaffs mead cordial thankfully. Now, I fancy some artwork. Here's a fine fellow.

And another

Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 20:20

''the scriptwriters know where our vulnerabilities are''

Oh, yes, land any RA persona in it, and women across the world will beat their breasts and weep. Sadists.

asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 20:31

Crikey.

I nearly uttered the phw--- word. But may I voice a heretical thought? The second one is almost too perfect - could have been taken from a Hugo Boss ad in GQ.

This one was painted by Caravaggio.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 20:39

Lucas is all done up in his city slicker outfit there, all right. Posing as Ros's boyfriend at the evil investment banker's building, do you remember that one?
I do prefer him a bit more roughed up I must admit.
Sorry to nearly land you in it, by almost causing you utter the p word in public. I have just been asked if I have a cold starting, my voice had gone a bit nasal and I was red round the eyes, apparently.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/11/2010 20:43

Talking of rough, how about dese apples?

Warning. Conceal your screen from the gaze of others.

asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 20:54

I am glad that someone there is taking an interest in your welfare and noticed your symptoms. Perhaps they might find you a medicinal brandy?

I remember that scene very well. Sometimes there are moments in the vids and photos I don't recognise but that's pretty rare - especially from the days when we used to watch it twice a week. Ros kissing Lucas at the bank (strictly in the national interest, obviously) is in several of the vids.

We are now having a cosy family evening around the fireside, playing canasta watching RH series 1.

My true love hath my heart, and I have his.

OP posts:
asmallbunchofflowers · 27/11/2010 20:58

Oh no. He looks so mentally and physically wasted and tormented there that I just want to give him some soup. Look at his eyes.
