And here are our study materials for the evening. Not sure if we've had them before, but have tried to find new ones - is getting trickier Grin!

Enjoy!

I know, Boden. I want one too. I am consoling myself with that Oooh la la vid which is mighty fine

Is this a record? I haven't mentioned a certain leather-clad gentleman all night.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 17/11/2010 23:42

Bodenbabe - Do take care. It could be a Chinese secret service agent assuming Lucas' Twitter identity. Or a lonely old gent in Runcorn. Or Kevin and Perry having a laugh.

Right. I'm off to bed with the poetry anthology.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 23:45

Goodnight and sweet dreams, Flowers. Find us some good ones for RA Poetry Please

Theresa, go on

Flowers, Runcorn or Kevin & Perry - ooooooooh you know how to ruin it. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart :) I am 41 years old, I am 41 years old, I am 41 years old.... night night, lovely!

Possibly this, Theresa?

MARK but this flea, and mark in this,
How little that which thou deniest me is ;
It suck'd me first, and now sucks thee,
And in this flea our two bloods mingled be.
Thou know'st that this cannot be said
A sin, nor shame, nor loss of maidenhead ;
Yet this enjoys before it woo,
And pamper'd swells with one blood made of two ;
And this, alas ! is more than we would do.

O stay, three lives in one flea spare,
Where we almost, yea, more than married are.
This flea is you and I, and this
Our marriage bed, and marriage temple is.
Though parents grudge, and you, we're met,
And cloister'd in these living walls of jet.
Though use make you apt to kill me,
Let not to that self-murder added be,
And sacrilege, three sins in killing three.

Cruel and sudden, hast thou since
Purpled thy nail in blood of innocence?
Wherein could this flea guilty be,
Except in that drop which it suck'd from thee?
Yet thou triumph'st, and say'st that thou
Find'st not thyself nor me the weaker now.
'Tis true ; then learn how false fears be ;
Just so much honour, when thou yield'st to me,
Will waste, as this flea's death took life from thee.

Bodenbabe · 17/11/2010 23:52

Flowers, that's a bit too Angeline Jolie and Billy Whatsischops Thornton (no relation for my liking... :)

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 17/11/2010 23:54

Eh? It's John Donne. I thought it fitted the Lovelace vibe. Where do Angelina and Billy Bob come in to it?

Really off to bed now or The Poet will be asleep.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 23:56

Heaven's sakes, ladies, and I have to factor in Lovelace in again later. I shall be a wreck by morning. Shock

Boden, I can't help noticing that the actual lyrics in your vid say says bad things with you, whereas the title reads to you. I wonder if that is of deep philosophical significance?

Bodenbabe · 18/11/2010 00:04

Angelina Ballerina and Billy Bob wore vials of each other's blood around their necks...

Theresa, very good point! I like the title better :)

Well this whole half bottle of wine has gone to my head and I need to sleep now, perchance to dream. A final happy Lucas pic for you.
Night night, all. xx

Theresaholeinyourmind · 18/11/2010 00:05

What a romantic poem Flowers found for us, one that every swain should get by heart to woo his lady love.

Also thank for that vid of my own leather-clad bottied thing of beauty. Those AIBU ladies really should take advantage of our Faculty's special offer of free eye tests.

PS, over on Twitter, I think Twitter Lucas is actually about to get laid Shock Blush

Bodenbabe · 18/11/2010 06:53

I didn't see that, theresa, maybe my understanding of double entrendre is not very good! He mentions having lots of DMs to reply to - so I'm presuming Twitter Lucas is actually even more graphic in private? Hmmmm. Feel odd about that. Oh and Flowers, it was all going very well, just like Old Twitter Lucas (OTL from now on) but then he started talking about hobnobs.

Y'know, having watched my last vid again, I am seriously changing my mind about Guy...

Sakura · 18/11/2010 07:28

I'm so out of the loop my posts are always threadkillers, in a different time zone to boot, and I've got no idea who Armitage is but...OMG Oyster's Silent Video was hilarious

Sakura · 18/11/2010 07:34

I've done some swotting and I'm now better versed in Armitage Studies. Keep up the good work

MrsLucasNorth · 18/11/2010 08:01

Oyster and Bodenbabe - you two are shameless!

Can't believe I missed naughty Lucas on Twitter last night. Don't care if he is behaving like a 14yo - feel like I am too at the moment with all this sleb lusting!

On the subject of that voice - was listening to 'parachute' by Cheryl Cole the other day and had to chuckle at the lyric...

"I don't tell anybody how your voice is my favourite sound"

Have you listened to either of his Heyer interviews on the Naxos Audiobooks site yet, Mrs LN - he talks about using his voice in at least one of those.

LeQ, re. renting Lucas, were you here when we were setting up our lookalike agency? There's going to be a staff discount so you'll be fine there :) I wouldn't want a badboy in real life and am very glad that DH isn't one - might just be nice to pretend now and again

Here/hear - I never know which is correct as both make sense. "Here here" means 'this person here agrees with you' but "hear hear" means 'I hear what you're saying'. Anybody know for sure?

PrairieOyster · 18/11/2010 10:45

LeQ - I feel for you!!
