And here are our study materials for the evening. Not sure if we've had them before, but have tried to find new ones - is getting trickier Grin!

Enjoy!

Will have to check that out! Thanks tights!

When they going to show N&S again? I want to move to theresa's secret location and watch it with her!!Grin

They seem to repeat all sorts of rubbish but not the quality drama which stars the actors with the best sex appeal acting ability!

Fettle · 17/11/2010 09:24

Oh and MrsLN (love the fact my predictive texting on my phone has learnt to put capital letters in your name automatically for me!!Grin) are we ever going to find out how exactly you finished off GTN?Grin. You'll need to send us a link to your published article!!

Yes, I have sky plus set and am quite excited. Tbh am not so bothered about catching up with the plot, so don't care which series it is. Spooks is also on that channel late at night every weekday I think. Think it is only series 5, but am hoping they are showing the lot, and will soon get to series 7!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 11:10

40DT, IMHO RH season 2 is the best for Guy- watching. I am not too keen on his long haired uber-scruffy look in 3, and in 1 he seems to go about with a horrid dirty yellow scarf round his neck most of the time.

Fettle, there are lots of secret locations that get the BBC Entertainment channel. It seems the UK is the only place that doesn't.
We do seem to be having a bit of a RA fest at the moment, what with RH on Saturdays, with two repeats, as well as N&S. Shame they didn't put his photo on their home page instead of the ones they did.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 17/11/2010 11:23

I dunno, Theresa. Trevor Eve's profile isn't wholly unappealing.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 11:41

The photo keeps changing, Flowers. At first it was Charlie Fairhead, then the guy from Little Britain in a red rubber suit.

21st century British Cultural Icons.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 17/11/2010 11:45

So I later realised. Nevertheless, I stand by my earlier comment.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 11:51

So how's Sir Phillip today? I am coming to realise my taste in poetry is discragefully chocolate-box, I was drifting about remembering Omar Khayyam this morning

Awake!for Morning in the Bowl of Night
Has flung the Stone that puts the Stars to Flight:
And Lo! the Hunter of the East has caught
The Sultan's Turret in a Noose of Light.

And so on.

I really must do some work on myself

Bodenbabe · 17/11/2010 11:53

Sorry, sorry, I'm late... Sorry Professors, I was all set to be on time for the lecture but then someone started talking about GTN with an undone bow tie and is if that wasn't enough he told Cassie to close her eyes and... well, I wasn't able to concentrate after that. I promise to pay more attention now.

Morning all :) MrsLN, I loved that last chapter -

Lovely vids too - Silent Hood is hilarious! And Something Kinda Ooh is really a classic.

Flowers, loving the cheese shop quote :)

Anyway, So I'm a bit busy today but will be back later. Hubby is out tonight so I have

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 11:56

Teri the Fangirl says CU L8R, Boden

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 17/11/2010 11:57

I had a friend at uni who was very fond of this ...

I think continually of those who were truly great.
Who, from the womb, remembered the soul's history
Through corridors of light where the hours are suns
Endless and singing. Whose lovely ambition
Was that their lips, still touched with fire,
Should tell of the Spirit clothed from head to foot in song.
And who hoarded from the Spring branches
The desires falling across their bodies like blossoms.

What is precious is never to forget
The essential delight of the blood drawn from ageless springs
Breaking through rocks in worlds before our earth.
Never to deny its pleasure in the morning simple light
Nor its grave evening demand for love.
Never to allow gradually the traffic to smother
With noise and fog the flowering of the spirit.

Near the snow, near the sun, in the highest fields
See how these names are feted by the waving grass
And by the streamers of white cloud
And whispers of wind in the listening sky.
The names of those who in their lives fought for life
Who wore at their hearts the fire's center.
Born of the sun they traveled a short while towards the sun,
And left the vivid air signed with their honor.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 17/11/2010 11:58

I was so desperate for you to recognise the cheese shop quote. Now my day is complete.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 12:07

That I like, Flowers. It is heartening to know there are/were minds about that can think that way, in view of the Big Brother/Smack my bitch up culture that prevails today.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 17/11/2010 12:10

Yes, 'tis great, which is why I have remembered it for years. Like the Spanish inquisition, the cheese emporium belongs to Mr Monty Python and his Flying Circus.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 12:12

A very strange bloke,though, Spender

PrairieOyster · 17/11/2010 12:20

Boden,

Have you seen/ are you actually planning on watching The Golden Hour - I haven't been able to bring myself to watch that one yet - sorta saving it for the dreary months waiting for The Hobbit etc - but if you can tell me whether it's worth watching at all, I'd be very grateful...

MrsLucasNorth · 17/11/2010 12:25

Oyster - Hobbit's not due out til 2012 - we are going to be wandering in a cultural desert for some I fear...

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 17/11/2010 12:27

Captain America's scheduled for release 22nd July 2011 - another leather wearing baddie I think Grin!

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 12:32

''another leather wearing baddie ''

Oh, dear, how are we going o cope with that?

Fettle · 17/11/2010 12:43

Should we find out where Captain American is premiering and go on a road trip together to the red carpet?! All for research purposes obviously?Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 12:47

Great idea Fettle. We could all go in our academic regalia too. Selebs might very well be curious and come over and chat.

Bodenbabe · 17/11/2010 12:54

Theresa: "I really must do some work on myself"
MrsLN's last chapter should help with that :o

Flowers, glad I have made your day :)

Oyster, I've watched 2 episodes so far. It's not very good (bad script, annoying & overused flashback device) but if you like Holby/Casualty then you'll probably like it. RA isn't in the 1st ep much but he is sooooooo swoonsome so it's probably worth it just for that :) I got it from eBay for £3 inc. postage but I wouldn't pay more for it. Well, it was free in the end because the disc was faulty and only works on the upstairs player.

Fettle, I'm game :)

Bodenbabe · 17/11/2010 12:55

amazon marketplace, I meant to say, not eBay. There are loads of cheap ones on thee...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 17/11/2010 13:29

Re Captain America, here's an intriguing photo Is he in there or not? I can't seeGrin
