And here are our study materials for the evening. Not sure if we've had them before, but have tried to find new ones - is getting trickier Grin!

Enjoy!

Have you worked out a back story for him,Mrs LN? Then it might be easier to get a handle on him. So to speak Wink

He sounds a bit of a tinker, up to now.

MrsLucasNorth · 20/11/2010 15:21

Guy was mainly 'good' Lucas with a touch of Thornton.

John is more Guy with a touch of Lovelace.

Bit of a tinker is an understatement!

Anyway, RL beckons tediously enough, but let me know how you'd liek to get a handle on him and I'll write yours next.

Hmm I fancy having him turning up at a medieval reenactment do, with my alter ego all done up in Barbie pink bliaut, thus.

He doesn't realise who her secret fantasy is. Maybe he's in his motorbike leathers or someone has told him to go as a very anachronistic Gisborne, as a dare,

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 15:35

....Oh Flowers, re.'shaken, not stirred' that is probably the best-chosen pic to illustrate a point that I have ever seen ....

Well, I was looking for a more beauteous series 1 RH pic as the series 3 (I think) pic which Oyster posted showed Guy at his grubbiest and greasiest. But Auntie Goggle brought me that one instead. Thank you, Auntie Google.

Oyster - Lacking photoshop or any of that clever stuff, I have been squinting at that teeny picture through my lorgnette. I really don't know if it's him or not, as the face shape looks wrong but that may just be an effect of all the shading with the face paint. I have an acquaintance who was in the cast of Cats. One of these days (if suitably emboldened by Polish cordial) I might drag the conversation in that direction.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 15:37

PS, in RL it would be a very boring story because I'd probably pass out Grin

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 15:38

Would he, Theresa, be wearing his armour?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 15:39

Ooops caught by the Rector at my naughtiness.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 15:41

Oh God, please not the armour.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 15:50

My apologies. I thought he'd be rather dashing at the medieval reenactment in armour that wasn't made from BBTs.

I'm just a hunk, a hunk of burning love

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 16:08

Ouch, ouch, Flowers, that photo was Hot Stuff. I can see I'm gonna burn the dinner again

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 16:11
ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 16:20

Yeah, look at the effect of light and dark on those manly chiselled features. Worthy of Caravaggio.

How many minutes to GuyTime?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 16:25

Just under two hours, Flowers. How on earth am I going to maintain a veneer of decorum while watching, last night I was on my own and squirming most unbecomingly. It gets worse every time.

ATM I'm heading into Feed the Folks time and have to split

CU L8R

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 17:09

Offers a to fill the time.

PrairieOyster · 20/11/2010 19:30

Nice vids ladies. Just to let you know when you turn up that I have lived to lust fight another day, as Gizzy did nothing much other than look brooding and angst-ridden, while setting off for the Holy Land. And no wonder, National Express certainly sucked in those days.

He did look super-cute papped sleeping at the inn. Poor man, even his dreams were miserable, about 5 secs worth of Marion and the rest Alan and shock horror, the sheriff.

I hope Mrs LN is faring better with Season 1 11-13

PrairieOyster · 20/11/2010 20:42

I've only seen RH S1 once, more's the pity - I rented it from the library one week when I realised I'd be alone all week - just about managed to cram it in. However I've probably seen every single Gizzy moment multiple times in videos.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 20:46

For research purposes, Oyster, natch?

Anti-hero as hero and vice versa in the Minghella oeuvre.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 20:47

Glad to hear you survived almost unscathed, Theresa. Now, are you ready for your (I hope) treat?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 20:51

Hold on while I ramp up my corset a couple of notches and have a swig of Chateau Gisbourne.

Okay, sitting uncomfortably, you may begin

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 21:05

Right.

I am about to show you (not necessarily in this order): multiple changes of Ye Gappe t-shirt, a botty wiggle, a fallen angel face, the very saucy removal of a glove and a very large sword, .

40deniertights · 20/11/2010 21:12

Ok, do you want the good news or bad news?

Good - Goofbay worked and I sniped an item!!!

Bad - Mr Bloody Tights deleted RH before I even watched it!! DC were upset on my behalf, and were really cross with him because "you've really upset Mummy"

40deniertights · 20/11/2010 21:15

Amazing Flowers. Can't decide whether that or Obsession is the ultimate. No apple though.
