And here are our study materials for the evening. Not sure if we've had them before, but have tried to find new ones - is getting trickier Grin!

Enjoy!

I know Oyster - and tbh real life and common sense would probably prevent me chasing RA round the British Isles, as much as I may be tempted to in my dreams...Grin

London's good for me too - about an hour by train. Can't help but hope that they don't like him too much in Hollywood - can't imagine all that bollocks being his thing anyway from the interviews I've seen, although can obviously understand the temptation from a career perspective.

Flowers talking of ditiching the Hobbit and coming to London, after that Spender poem you posted on here I thought he ought to do a biopic about him. Nice bit of dichotomy in his character and look at this
Not a dead ringer but workable.
It could be a stage play too.
Or maybe a musical
Hey Big Spender

Perhaps not

Come to think of it, I walked across a bit of pavement today that Lucas once walked on.

MrsLucasNorth · 19/11/2010 23:51

That would be pretty much anywhere along the South Bank wouldn't it Flowers?

OP posts:
ASmallBunchofFlowers · 19/11/2010 23:53

Arf at Hey Big Spender. Could be almost as profound and ground-breaking as My Bad Boy Byron, which (belatedly) I have just realised should be a musical. With tap dancing.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 19/11/2010 23:53

I would bid on it but am worried about the customs duty

Does it come with a certificate of authenticity?

PrairieOyster · 19/11/2010 23:54

I walk on the South bank most days...

PrairieOyster · 19/11/2010 23:55

I need to go check out some of my other RA haunts....see you some other time....

MrsLucasNorth · 19/11/2010 23:56

Was up that way a couple of months back. I believe he is (or maybe was now) quite involved with the Globe Theatre..

Theresaholeinyourmind · 19/11/2010 23:57

''With tap dancing.''

Or a sort of Lord of the Dance with cravats.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 19/11/2010 23:58

Genuine piece of London Bridge station concourse. Trodden (at different times) by Lucas, Beth, Dmitri and Flowers. Bids to start at £1,000,000.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 19/11/2010 23:58

Bye Oyster. come back soon.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 00:15

Time for some Emily Dickinson, maybe. This one makes me think of the closing scene of N&S

Come slowly, Eden!
Lips unused to thee,
Bashful, sip thy jasmines,
As the fainting bee,

Reaching late his flower,
Round her chamber hums,
Counts his nectars--enters,
And is lost in balms!

And time I was heading off. My connection is so bad tonight anyway.

Goodnight, all

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 00:17

Oh that is so beautiful.

Good night.

Bodenbabe · 20/11/2010 08:19

A propos of nothing in particular, I once worked on a radio programme about the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain. I can't STAND them, sorry :)

Hey, also an hour away from London here! I used to work there, avant kids...

A weird little thing I forgot to mention - the office at DD's school has an ornate clock and I noticed last week that it has the initials RA in large script! The initials of the clock company I guess but still made me smile.

MrsLucasNorth · 20/11/2010 08:43

Oh Bodenbabe - school clock made me chuckle.
I went into work the other day and saw on my 'to-do' list 'type up RA notes' and thought omg I'm losing the plot.

Then I realised RA are also my bosses initials Grin!

OP posts:
Bodenbabe · 20/11/2010 08:48

MrsLN, how funny about your RA notes :)

Stripey, did you win the DVD? (incidentally, I can't see the 6'5 picture you referred to...? Not that I'm curious or anything :o)

40deniertights · 20/11/2010 09:06

Am going to catch up on RH today. A very good friend of mine lives 5 mins from Globe. Perhaps we should accost arrange a meeting with him, and explain why Hollywood is a bad plan, chews you up and spits you out etc etc. Think I saw a suggestion once that 007 would be a good role.

40deniertights · 20/11/2010 09:08

Is that real about RA notes? Made me howl, and dc looking at me oddly.

MrsLucasNorth · 20/11/2010 09:18

Completely true. We use staff initials all the time so it was force of habit to write it that way. Went in the next morning and thought 'Blimey I must have it worse than I thought', then realised...
