And here are our study materials for the evening. Not sure if we've had them before, but have tried to find new ones - is getting trickier Grin!

Enjoy!

NOOOOO Flowers, how can you do this to me

PrairieOyster · 19/11/2010 21:40

I think that we may have, but it's such a good one - worth seeing again. I have this one on my iPhone!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 19/11/2010 21:45

Poor, poor Guy in RH tonight

''Dont. You, Speak to me!''

''Do you have no idea of what I've been thinking and feeling?''

Or words to that effect. I was too cut up to remember properly.

Still waiting for YT

To be honest, Oyster, whenever I find anything promising in the basement I post it here for critical evaluation by the faculty. Unless I like it so much that I save it, I tend to forget what I have posted.

This one does seem likely to rock Theresa's world tick all the right boxes.

PrairieOyster · 19/11/2010 21:52

BTW There are some very lovely RA vids on Vimeo by yorkshirewench, but they are private and you have to have the password to view them. Full details of how to view them now are here

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 19/11/2010 21:54

I don't think I could cope with anything other than YT, Oyster!

Fancy a Polish Cordial?

MrsLucasNorth · 19/11/2010 21:55

Flowers - I find an Excel spreadsheet does the trick Blush

StripeyMoon · 19/11/2010 21:58

night night all.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 19/11/2010 21:58

That's what separates us, MrsLN. You are a professional while I am a mere dilettante. Wink

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 19/11/2010 22:04

Stripey - I'm not offended at all. I found that picture so disturbing that my phwoar reflex didn't switch on. That's all. And as I've said, I am probably hypersensitive here because John Porter is my Proustian madeleine taking me back to things in my [distant] past.

Night, night.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 19/11/2010 22:08

I got chucked out...

Theresa's world is already rocked. He was so delicious, too, tonight. If I had Marion here I would seriously pull her hair. But I know he will finally snap in a week or two, so maybe not.

C'mon, baby. C'mon.

,

Finally!

All that and the great big sword too!

Thank you, Flowers

MrsLucasNorth · 19/11/2010 22:11

Oyster - I've just watched a couple of those clips - think I may have to invest in a copy of The Golden Hour now, even though medical dramas normally do about as much for me as war dramas do for Flowers.
Cannot believe how hot he can look in a bright Orange jumpsuit!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 19/11/2010 22:23

Any Polish Cordial going? I need some.

PrairieOyster · 19/11/2010 22:25

My copies of Spooks 7 and Frozen arrived today

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 19/11/2010 22:26

Yes, here.

What's up? Or is it just the sight of Guy Longespée that has prompted this?

PrairieOyster · 19/11/2010 22:27

Trivia: There was recently a US version of The Golden Hour called Miami Medical starring Jeremy Northam...rapidly cancelled

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 19/11/2010 22:27

I know nothing about Frozen. Is it a profound and meaningful Art Movie?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 19/11/2010 22:30

Don't mind me, Flowers. The Vid was lovely, but I got so sad at tonights RH episode on the telly. Tell me it's only a story

PrairieOyster · 19/11/2010 22:31

I'm unsure about Frozen. I do know that it is not well-liked however. He has a minor role. It stars Shirley Henderson. I've watched some clips, and thought I should try to make some sense of it by watching the whole thing. At least it's cheap. And it was also the last movie that he did, just before North and South, I think.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 19/11/2010 22:32

Ooooh, I have just noticed your acute accent. I want one!

PrairieOyster · 19/11/2010 22:32

Reminds me, if you get the Shakespeare Retold DVD (RA is MacDuff in MacBeth), then there is a pretty good version of The Taming of the Shrew on there, with Shirley Henderson and Rufus Sewell.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 19/11/2010 22:37

You have no idea, Theresa, how hard I worked to construct a sentence about Guy's sword that wouldn't be met with the retort ooh err missus.

It is only a story. Obviously. But the reason humankind persists in creating and passing on stories is because they have the capacity to move us in myriad ways. And Guy's story (although I am hazy about the latter stages, at least in the BBC version) is affecting.

40deniertights · 19/11/2010 22:39

Stripey, I like your picture, but then I have extensively studied John Porter and have not found him wanting! DSon't forget ladies, RH on Watch channel tomorrow morning and Sunday.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 19/11/2010 22:40

Ah, Oyster, Shakespeare Retold would rock my world. Even better, the RSC Scottish play where he is Angus. Is that available on dvd?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 19/11/2010 22:43

I know, Flowers, that's why I mentioned the big sword in the first place. Because I'm bad.

The story, basically, is that everybody dies, to paraphrase the REM song.

Guy kills Marion, the sheriff kills Guy and Isabella Guy's sister kills Robin.
Great Saturday teatime entertainment.

Oyster of Military Intelligence will correct me if I have the details wrong

I suppose what makes me sad is you do like to see the odd happy ending in your fiction as a nice change from RL. Pass the Cordial
