When you say that you're aware of the exploitation, is it just a case of seeing headlines and knowing of the exploitation as an abstract fact or do you have real understanding of the suffering caused by the choices of you, and people like you?

Have you read or listened to accounts of parents whose children have been groomed by county lines gangs and are then terrorised and unable to escape?

Have you read accounts of people living in towns or villages controlled by drug cartels?

If you have never read beyond the headlines then you need to educate yourself about the suffering that some people endure so that others can get off their faces for a few hours.

If you are fully aware but just don't give a fuck then I think that makes you a pretty shitty person.

Ofc op and other users don’t care.

Aren’t you embarrassed? You’re a walking cliche.

And Yes but it doesn’t really work like that. It’s unlikely they are going to sell something dodgy to a regular 😂 If you’re not embarrassed about this, then I’m embarrassed for you. The bloke selling it to you isn’t the one making it and won’t have a clue what’s in it. He’s just some street skank delivering so the next person up the chain doesn’t get arrested. Of course it’s cut with other stuff. That you haven’t had a bad batch yet is more by luck than judgement. And do you think he has some kind of loyalty to you? Some sense of customer service? What will you do when he does sell you a bad batch? Ask to see his manager? 🤦‍♀️

Maybe it’s “locally sourced, handcut, artisan coke.” 😂

"if you say you can stop anytime then why dont
you?!"

I presume she doesn't want to.

I could stop drinking, but I don't want to.
Same with eating cheese.

(I'm not saying that alcohol and cheese are the same for society as coke, but I'm pointing out that being able to stop taking something is not the same as wanting to stop taking something).

The point is, OP acknowledges the harms and chooses to continue to contribute to them.

Where does craving end and addiction begin?

I'm probably a sugar addict and have to exert serious will power not to stuff my face with biscuits and chocolate.
Some days I am successful, others not so much!

But my cravings/addiction doesn't feed into the drugs epidemic, or cause violent crime and abuse of vulnerable people.

SonK · 19/09/2026 11:53

I hope you don't have any children, but if you do, I hope you are ashamed of yourself.

When I was a child, we had neighbors who were coke users and they had one child. They couldn't even get up to take the child to school and my dad would help take him everyday with us even though we went to different schools.

I didn't realize they were coke users at time and as a child just thought the parents were really poorly because of their appearance and the state of their house. That child lost both parents before he went to high school and was taken in by his God parent. He actually thrived and looked a lot better after their death.

I hope you realize not only are you destroying yourself and your family, but you are contributing to the supply and demand and ruining others too.

There are other ways to relax, or if you want that 'rush' feeling why don't you pick an adrenaline fueled hobby.

Another AMA thread ruined by people's judgement. Obviously OP isn't coming back now after a pile on. I'm very anti drugs, but I find the holier than thou piling on spoils threads like this and shuts down conversation.

No, there are plenty of valid questions. Hers is a controversial stance. It's not a "pile on" (sic).
People are asking questions based on her posts. She started the AMA, she's not some innocent bystander.

Maybe the Op has been given food for thought with this thread, and is now realising the enormity of her situation.

Nah. Looking out the window wondering where today's delivery has got to.

Hopefully, whichever child has the job of delivering it to either the OP or the OP's dealer so they can pretend it's all exploitation and violence free hasn't been taken out by a competing gang overnight. Or they've been sent to deliver to the shittier areas whilst the great guy who really doesn't see the OP as just another mug with a bit of pocket money to spend on whatever shit he's got this week (honest), goes to the ones where they'd not stand out as much as a kid on a bike.

I don't mind judging selfish pricks.

You have the same vibe as 'No kink shaming including the man walking down the street with a butt plug with a tail hanging off it'

Bring back kink shaming, and casual, unnecessary drug-use shaming.

I’m 31
I’ve used it since about 2019 but not as regularly as I do now since about 2024
about £50 a week

This is an interesting thread and I’ve been there and enjoyed it very much but eventually grew out of it. It’s strange though, just because society has made it illegal, why does it make it bad?

Cannabis was banned for decades but has huge healing Properties and has been reported thousands of time as one of the many cures for cancer. It obviously how many other serious conditions and nowadays it is available on prescription.

Psilocybin or Magic Mushroom’s also have been banned for many decades, but these have been proven to help with mental health issues, serious issues that medicine cannot cure. There’s a huge underground movement calling it plants medicine and it’s helped millions of people recover from depression, anxiety and an endless list.

Of course cocaine is heavily manufactured and the version that we take recreationally is full of poison and other toxins. Let’s not forget it was legal I don’t know 100 years ago and in early 20th century. It was in Coca-Cola and you could buy it in the chemist as it was in many products. It only got banned when people started having fun with it.

Obviously Amsterdam has cannabis and mushrooms as legally Purchaseable items so no one Bats an eyelid in that country. Just because it is illegal mean there is anything wrong with it.

Far more pain, disease, cost to health services and detrimental effects to families and communities comes from alcohol and cigarettes and sugar, all of which are simply taxed to justify keeping them legal.

An adult can choose to do what they want to do he doesn’t mean any drugs are inherently bad or good. What a strange world we live in.

This is a parent forum, so she potentially may have children (she has avoided the question) - of course people are going to judge!

She could have very young children And what if they come across the drugs and eat it - that could be fatal. It actually occurs a lot in homes where recreational drugs are being used.

The only way she can ensure that never happens is if she quits.

What conversation would you expect there to be? She comes on here, says she takes drugs, she’s aware of the moral issues but doesn’t care enough to stop, she’s not addicted and she isn’t concerned about a bad batch because she’s a regular.

If she was talking about using drugs for pain management etc, then there could really be an interesting discussion. But she’s just another druggie skank, albeit with enough money to keep her teeth in her head. For now. What valuable insights is she going to have?

For £50 they aren’t selling you anything other than ‘dodgy’ coke mate.

You seem to view yourself as very knowledgeable on the quality and value of drugs. That's odd for someone so against the use of it.

Ok. But the OP isn't coming back after a 'pile on' [sic 🤣]. Thread is over apart from an echo chamber of people. Boring and predictable. I love AMA when it's less judgemental, it's how we can discover and learn about how people think and live anonymously. You might not agree with their choices, but I think AMA should be less judgemental.

Why did you start this thread? What did you think people would get out if it?

I imagine she expected all the other cokehead twats on here to come crawling out of the woodwork and have a jolly old thread about how great it is.

Thankfully the tide seems to have turned and people are no longer afraid to call it out for what it is.

PetulaGordeno · 19/09/2026 12:06

So your concern about the type of delivery is about the quality of the drug.
Nice.
Honestly, I was around the rave scene in my younger years and it was awash with drugs and I managed to avoid them.
I am old enough to remember the heroin epidemic of the 80’s and it was horrific.
I live 5 minutes away from an area where there are young girls from the age of 13 prostituting themselves for drugs and about 10 minutes away from dealers up the chain who live in gorgeous houses where their little darlings go to private school.
They are all the same dealers and don’t give one toss about any of the pain involved along the chain, including young girls initiated into drugs gangs and passed around like dead meat and forced to sell via county lines.
Raped over and over and over again until they comply.
I know it’s easy to shut your mind from it and get your little delivery but from a teenager all I’ve seen is the abject misery caused just so people can indulge.
The only people I feel for are kids from deprived areas with no hope and I understand why they get involved, they are young and daft and feel that it’s a way out.

As the title says

I was a recreational user in my 20s, lived for the party but eventually I grew out of it. I am fully aware you can fully function and be a regular cocaine or MDMA user. Haven’t got involved at least 15 years.

My question is, do you have a partner and do they know that you use cocaine? If you don’t have a partner currently have you shared that knowledge with previous Partners? Do you have any children?

if you met someone and began a relationship with them, who was against it and didn’t want you using it would you 100% go cold turkey and never use it again no matter what situation you were in, whether be drinking with friends or on holiday with friends? Or do you think you’d have a sneaky dabble here and there when the right circumstances arose?

Globules · 19/09/2026 12:07

I'd have quite liked to hear more from the OP too. I work in a professional job, and like @Ihateboris , i know of users. They're not quiet about it.

MN users don't want to acknowledge that their police officers, headteachers, doctors, dentists are coke users but i've met at least one in each category at functions.

MN users also insist they know no one who use it, but I'd suggest their friends never say if they are users, as they know the judgement they'll get.

Those saying you must be addicted or you could stop right now - line that statement up with your occasional glass of wine. You have an occasional glass because you enjoy it. @alltheleavesarebrwn has a weekly line because she enjoys it. She may become an addict. Right now, she isn't.

I'd like to ask how vocal you are about your use...are there people you would never tell, as you know you'd get the reaction you're getting on here?

I’ve worked and volunteered for a very long time with vulnerable people many of whom are, or have been, coke addicts. For the best part of a decade. So yes I have insight into it and am also against it. I don’t think that’s a very unusual stance.

Apparently drug taking is far more common than people realise. I have never taken drugs illegally or known anyone take them. I'm semi curious perhaps like others this secret world of drug taking etc.. how to they acquire them, do they hide their habit, what impact does it have on their life. I do find it interesting how people can be extremely judgemental of illegal drugs, yet liberal minded when buying bottles of wine / champagne / prosecco in Sainsbury's (all the same poison).. yet alcohol is the biggest substance killer that creates so many problems in society. I have seen so many lives wrecked due to alcohol use. FWIW I hate it all, but it also doesn't make me want to shut down conversation by personally passing judgement.
