As the title says

So you are aware, and appareny care, but getting off your face is more important. I hope one day you can explain this to the parent of an exploited child.

This is an interesting AMA. I'm a cleaner and I honestly can't believe the number of my educated, middle class customers that regularly use cocaine. One of my customer's actually asked me if I knew any dealers as theirs had let them down one weekend. These are doctors, lawyers, Accountants etc in their 40s and 50s.

My questions are:
How old are you?
How long have you been doing it?
How much do spend weekly on it?

Are you an addict? If not, why not stop?

Do you understand the risk you take each time you choose to do this?

Do you have children?

How do you feel about funding and supporting criminals that often use violence and threats in the trade and are also often involved in other crimes such as sex trafficking? (Drugs play a huge part in that)

That’s a bit naive. Someone delivering you something could be delivering absolutely anything, without them even knowing it’s different to what they gave you last week.

I’ve used it since about 2019 but not as regularly as I do now since about 2024
about £50 a week

No I’m not an addict. I can go as long as I want without using it. I use it when I drink, if I don’t drink It’s not even a thought.

What made you start taking it?

With the disclaimer that I’m not in the UK (although the same drugs are illegal in my country), you could get ethical mushrooms, certainly. Weed should be possible to source ethically, or grow yourself, although admittedly it sounds like sourcing it ethically might be trickier in the UK than where I live.

Other drugs would be harder to get hold of ethically - I suppose you could get hold of somewhat 'ethical' meth/speed if you happened to know someone who had a small lab and cooked it themselves, but that would be a much more difficult prospect.

You spend about £50 a week, presumably for a gram as a dealer wouldn’t sell you less. I dread to think what’s actually in your ‘coke’.

My question is do you have kids? Aren’t you ever worried you’ll get a bad batch (especially as it’s so cheap) and something will happen to you and leave them without a mum?

It’s such a grim drug.

You can’t start growing weed in your loft or crack out a lab legally in the UK.

I'm a police officer in CID and I want to remind you that you are directly, and personally, contributing to the increase in gang crime, violence, knife crime, acquisitive crimes such as burglary, shop theft, robbery, the exploitation of children and vulnerable people, rape and other violent offences. Plus you are lining the pockets of scummy drug lords.

Why would they sell something dodgy to a potential new regular though? I would think that most of the time when tainted product gets sold, the seller has no clue.

I can always tell when my customers have done it as they have a runny nose. They'll say they've got allergies but I see the remnants of cocaine on the surfaces. Do you always have a runny nose? Aren't you bothered that your nose could literally rot away (see Daniella Westbrook)

I didn't say 'legal', I said 'ethical' - as in, it's not exploiting anyone. Of course it's illegal! As is picking and eating mushies - but that's as ethical as can be.

do you experience any paranoia? I can imagine that after weekly use for 7 years you’d be experiencing the side effects.

also, what makes you carry on? Have you ever considered that you’re in denial that you’re not addicted? You say you can go period of time without so you’re not addicted but you seem to have gone back time and time again since 2019?

Even if your friendly neighbourhood drug dealer would never ever want to give you something dodgy, as I said, they may not even know. It’s not some highly controlled safe supply chain.
I’d agree with you that it’s safer from someone you know than a random person on the street. But I stand by that it’s naive to think that because you regularly get it from them, it’s safe.

Nobody is going to sell her less than a gram at a time, so she’s getting very poor quality coke. It’s all awful in different ways but I’m surprised OP seems to think she’s getting good quality stuff for that amount of money.

I can’t see that you answered if you have children? Do you?
