My sibling is a celebrity AMA

I won’t be saying who they are.

I recently spoke to a friend about it who
had lots of questions which lead to an interesting conversation, things I’d never said or thought about before.

When I was younger I used to feel incredibly jealous of them and had a very short and unsuccessful attempt at creating my own fame.

Now I’m older with my own dc and have seen the effects up close I definitely think the negatives out way the positives and it’s not something I would ever want for my children.

In the past I probably would have wanted to but now I would say no without even finding out more. A show like that would want to create a negative story and I’m happy doing what I’m doing.

I do but I also think what you see and read isn’t necessarily reality and they’re probably very different when they’re actually at home with their families.

Well, the AMA is more about what it's like to be the non-famous sibling, isn't it? And they've been careful not to reveal too much, while also managing to communicate that the sibling is a human being, which is positive for the sibling.

Do you think they are famous because they are talented/ lucky/ born beautiful or something else?

Has it affected your confidence? Do you think you would be different if they had never become famous?

A mix of those things.

Do you look alike?

I’ve compared myself a lot to them and it’s definitely made me feel insecure and not good enough especially when I was a teenager, that could have happened anyway but it was amplified by their fame. I feel confident and happy enough with who I am now though, I had therapy in my early 20s for another reason but having a famous sibling did come up lots.
Ive learnt things from watching them, at least learnt to appreciate certain things more but I don’t know how I would be that different if they’d never became famous.

Do you think a celeb could ever have a relationship with a "normal" person with a normal job? If they do, how do they meet?

Not in the same way.

Is Lee still banged up?

They could, lots do but it does often add an extra difficulty in relationships. My sibling has had relationships with people with ‘normal jobs’ and has normally been introduced by friends.

There’s some similarities and some people say we do but I don’t really think so.

Has your sibling had any plastic surgery or enhancements done? And have you ever been tempted to?

Could you go into a bit more detail, if possible please?

Have you ever really liked or particularly disliked any of your sibling’s partners? Do your sibling’s kids ever come to you for advice or confide in you either about your sibling or about more general things?
