Mine was about 12.5k - central London. Everything covered, when they’d settled down they were different and I had top up surgery and didn’t have to pay anything extra. (Previous breast cancer and radiotherapy made me a difficult case - my surgeon is excellent it’s just mine are complicated).

starsinyourpies · 03/05/2024 21:38

I am 32H and very keen for a reduction but as a pre-menopausal early 40s concerned that they might grow again during menopause. Has anyone had that after having a reduction?

For those that went private how much did it cost?

im desperate in the future to get this done, the back pain, the faff finding bras, skin issues with them.

Mine was extra because liposuction for axillary tissue that needed a small excision to remove extra skin.

oddly I can’t quite remember. Central south England £9 maybe

Most of us had it done during meno I think 💭

I’m surprised that anybody paid over 10 grand unless there were some complications to be honest.

Thanks I might need to wait a few years then

CoolShoeshine · 04/05/2024 07:40

I paid £9k. About five years earlier I was quoted £6k annoyingly. I think prices will keep going up as cosmetic procedures get increasingly popular.

Madagascary · 04/05/2024 07:50

found my two quotes. From 2022
out of London

Paid £13,613 for YD. Could have stayed in hospital overnight, but she decided she felt well enough to go home. First consultation was another £250. Not cheap, but totally worth it.

Singletrackmind · 04/05/2024 09:00

£10k last year in South West, included some
lipo. London surgeon I saw quoting £12-15k inc overnight. Good surgeons in the north doing it for around £8 … it does depend where you live.

Madagascary · 04/05/2024 09:03

Yes! Seems a lot extra for London.
id save the difference for new clothes

Ps … prices are rising, I read recently that BR surgery uptake is about 200% up in recent years with previous ones. Friend was quoted £10k-12k 2 years ago with surgeon that Sali Hughes used (beauty journo), when she booked a few months later he was quoting £16k .. but agreed to honour the £12k quote.
But … as I’ve said on one of the other threads … once you start looking there are lots of very competent surgeons in every part of the country and it’s perfectly possible to pay around the £8k mark 👍

Madagascary · 04/05/2024 10:20

Mine has requested to use me on his social media and with clients in consultation

lolol 🤔😁😁

I paid 8k in south east last year and my surgeon was excellent. There’s a massive range!

AngelsandAliens · 04/05/2024 15:40

Hi all , what the is cost of this? I’ve looked and see so many variations of cost etc .

I would love one , I’m actually getting quite down about mine of late as I’m constant pain my back kills , the indents in my shoulders kill , I’m just beyond fed up and the fatter I get because of feeling low and also the lack of excercise I can do the worse I feel .

im currently a H cup I believe , even that feels a bit snug .

I’m so jealous of all you ladies who have managed to get your reductions. Unfortunately my GP wont refer me and i have tried for years. Im saving up currently to get it done as it has been the bane of my life for the last 25 years!

It’s very rare to be able to get it done on the NHS these days! You probably have to have your boobs dragging on the floor to qualify! Imo the NHS should decide on eligibility on a case by case basis. Having oversized breasts greatly affect your physical and mental health, and that fact is not taken into account enough.

Bigtitsbettyforgotherpassword · 11/05/2024 14:55

I’ve just painted the fences in my garden. My boobs didn’t brush against the fences at all. It’s the little things…

unsync · 11/05/2024 16:17

I've wanted mine done since my teens. I'm getting healthy after eating my way through an abusive marriage. I'm working on fitness and weightloss. I know I'll end up with spaniel ears though, so have set aside money from my divorce settlement for surgery (seemed appropriate). I think I'll also need a tummy tuck. Has anyone done both?

Also, I shall be moving to France when my responsibilities end here in the UK. Has anyone had surgery in France?

Madagascary · 12/05/2024 17:03

@RedWineIsFine how's things

I was a 34H and had mine reduced on the NHS 28 years ago. I was a 34C afterwards. It was the most life changing thing!
I am 54 now, peri menopausal and they have gone back up to a 36FF. However, I've put on weight and taking HRT, which I think has contributed to the increase in size.
I would do it again in a heartbeat.
My daughter is 18 and wants a reduction too.

Madagascary · 12/05/2024 17:32

Yes, it seems to be a bit risky having it before menopause

hello everyone!

my op date is on Tuesday! Had my pre op on Friday so am good to go.

the hot weather has made me even more determined to lose the huge boobs!

countrytweed · 12/05/2024 20:12

I'm almost 43 and perimenopausal... yes it's a risk they'll grow back, which I discussed with my surgeon, but tbh the thought of spending the next 10yrs dressed in black tents and feeling utterly miserable every summer or anytime I couldn't wear baggy jumpers was enough to make me go for it now. So glad I did. If in 10yrs they grow again - 🤞🏼 not, and the fear of it definitely makes me eat healthier and exercise more - I'd honestly make financial sacrifices if I had to, to get it done again. It's that life-changing.
