Outing to say publisher as there are (these days) four over here and four stateside and easy to work out who I am if you know it's X here and Y in the states. But they're both big, traditional houses.

Did you have another job / career before writing and if so what made you start writing?

Why do you think you are good at this, would you say you are particularly smart (as in through school) or is it something else around your talent?

How do you structure your day? Do you schedule time to write and it just flows, or do you need to be in the mood, or have the write environment to stimulate the inspiration?

@AlwaysFoldingWashing no, publisher just makes a loss, author keeps money. Next advance would likely be lower though.
