Thank you. Started in 2008 and was a group of people with one suspected ringleader. I didn't know exactly who the group members comprised.

Also a victim of stalking here....ex female colleague....very needy....constant dramas...3 years and no contact since.....huge effort on my part to throw her off my trail etc....exhausting and draining and was nervous about leaving the house etc.

Bizarre that this has just popped up on my feed. I was also a victim of a stalker years ago. I found a box in the loft the other day that had all the letters and statements from police and the stalker. I kept them all as was advised to but forgot all about them.

I made the mistake of reading some of the letters and my blood ran cold. Won’t be opening that box again! Was an extremely scary time but I don’t quite think I really knew how serious it was. Seeing all the evidence, reading some of the letters it really brought home how much of a dangerous situation it was.

Don't know. Started when I lived in a rough area but they found out where I subsequently moved to. Hasn't been resolved officially - I've just distanced myself and am more careful who I give personal details to so it's now thankfully completely tailed off

When did you first notice you were being stalked? Did you speak to the police? I’ve had some of this too but can’t pin down exactly who/what is responsible.

Yes I first noticed when people were waiting for me outside my work - I spoke to the police but they couldn't help due to lack of concrete evidence

Just following but from a distance and not doing anything specific or definite - so hard to pick up on and repot. No I didn't know the ringleader

No not really a fair summary.

I think they saw me as an easy target.

One of them did approach me, speak to me and make contact with me but the words he actually used weren't threatening in themselves so the police wouldn't take my complaints seriously

Because I overheard a telephone call made by one of them where the recipient responded saying "stalking?"
