At all. No spaghetti bolognese, lasagne or shepherds pie for me, unless it’s made with chunks of meat or veggie.

Never have liked it and the thought of it makes me proper queasy.

I never liked it so my parents never made me eat it. But I was forced to eat spaghetti bolognese on my first school residential (by a horrible old witch of a teacher in the 80s) and ended up being sick, so that kind of settled the matter in my brain.

Weirdly I am quite fond of steak tartare. It’s just cooked mince .

Have you tried soya or quorn mince?
I love beef mince but DS2 is vegetarian so I used meat substitute now.

I don't think it's weird, more discerning imo.
My shepherd pie is almost the stuff of legend just because I use stew steak.

Being mince free raises the bar.

I have to stay out of the kitchen when DH cooks it as the smell makes me gag. But I don’t mind people eating it in front of me.

I agree with this, my chilli con carne is The Boss of dinners, everyone says so. But everyone else always makes chilli with mince, so…

You’d hate to be then. I have to cook fresh mince and white rice every day for my dog - pancreatitis so can’t tolerate anything else. Inure, I don’t have to eat it, but the smell - 🤢

Tbf id probably cook it for my dogs if necessary but then there’s not much I wouldn’t do for them. I’ve never cooked it for the kids though
