Hi there, folks.

As the title says, I'm here to respond to questions in good nature.

For a bit of background information, I'm 30 years old, a trans activist out of necessity (being the first 'out' trans person in numerous spaces, which didn't have any rules or regulations before, but have since been commended for ease of process by some new trans members or trans members who have been referred by me), have been 'passing' for about three years, now.

100 posts a page and it's right there on P.3, and I went to the trouble of reposting it for you later

Just seen this from @OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg

Sorry, my posts are set up differently and it was page 10 on mine, but I've kindly copy and pasted, with the time and date included to show that @Sideris has indeed ignored you.

mindproject · 06/01/2020 17:18

I'm not going to ask you anything because I am soooo bored of the whole trans thing. I'm bored that it's such an issue for so many feminists and people on Mumsnet, when there are much more pressing issues for women; I'm bored because the trans community is tiny yet it seems to be all anyone wants to talk about and I'm bored of all the attention seeking from all sides.

Women don't seem to have realised yet that the more they get riled up about it, the more the men in charge will use it to wind you up. Just let it die a death, ignore it and focus on something more worthwhile and relevant. If you feed it, it will keep coming back for more.

JacquesHammer · 06/01/2020 17:18

I’ve not responded to questions that aren’t worth a response

Isn’t this AMA? Or were you disingenuous with your opening gambit?

Drizzzle · 06/01/2020 17:21

If male and female don't exist what did you stop being and what did you become when you started taking testosterone?

DuchessofWoke · 06/01/2020 17:22

Careful folks, you might be asking “the wrong questions”.

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 06/01/2020 17:24

Thank you HerRoyalFattyness, I appreciate that.

PencilsInSpace · 06/01/2020 17:26

Going back to a much earlier word-salad post:

Her safety, privacy and dignity is no less harmed by one extra girl entering than from any other girl entering the space.

  • and similar statements.

Women are forever being told to 'be kind', just use the preferred pronouns, say that TWAW because it's only words and it doesn't hurt us bla bla bla. This is where it gets us - left without any words to describe what's happening or to advocate for our rights, safety and welfare.

This is the entire point and I don't believe for a moment that OP does not understand this.

OP, seeing as you are so familiar with Maya's case you'll probably already have come across this excellent article which was cited in evidence. For those who haven't seen it yet it's well worth a read:

If you feed it, it will keep coming back for more
very true, questions are making the transpeople feel even more special, and brave
the more we call them out on the word salad the more they claim to be misunderstood victims

Huggybear16 · 06/01/2020 17:27

I am a man by my own identity

My son is a dinosaur by his own identity. How long until he can change his birth certificate?

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 06/01/2020 17:30

mindproject there is no more pressing issue for women than this. As can be seen from this thread, we are losing the right to define ourselves as women. Males are identifying into womanhood, skewing crime, healthcare and gender pay gap statistics in the process. Rape and DA survivors are losing their rights to single sex refuges, NHS staff are being trained to gaslight patients who object to the presence of a male in a female ward that there is no male present.

If we lose the right to define what a woman is, how do we even begin to tackle the inequalities faced by women by dint of their membership of the oppressed sex class?

midgebabe · 06/01/2020 17:33

If you change what female and male mean to being feelings not biology then you will need a new system to be alerted to necessary tests.

You needed to change the process because of your refusal to accept words that refer to your actual biology are just that, words referring to your innate biology.

Now you have put the whole of society in a position where every law, book, poem, that refers to those previously known as women needs to be rewritten?

Sittinonthefloor · 06/01/2020 17:34

Given the choice would prefer to have been at ease with your birth sex (ie XX and fine with that) or would you choose to be trans?

HerRoyalFattyness · 06/01/2020 17:36

@mindproject this is an extremely pressing issue.
Even the OP on this thread has accused women and girls of using their rape as a weapon. Hmm
Yet refuses to acknowledge that someone with a penis is potentially a threat to those of us who have been sexually abused and raped.
The OP is dismissing our concerns, and is trying to deny the existence of sex, so is denying science.
What happens when science is denied and women are eradicated as a class?
Where does that leave us?

mindproject · 06/01/2020 17:38

there is no more pressing issue for women than this.

I completely disagree. This is something you have allowed to snowball in your mind. I understand if you have become heavily invested in this one issue then you might think it's more important than anything else, but I can assure you it is a molehill and you are making it a mountain.

mindproject · 06/01/2020 17:41

People have all kinds of preferences, quirks, misconceptions, mental illness etc. Yet this is the one you attack more than any other? Why? Just leave it be.

GirlsInGreen · 06/01/2020 17:41

Thank you for answering OP - My question :
In the UK trans men born into aristocratic families are not allowed to inherit titles/lands over younger natal male brothers. Why do you think this lack of parity exists? Why do you think trans lobby groups and activists are not absolutely outraged and up in arms?

I know the aristocracy are a very small group - however despite this law makers decided that unscrupulous women would take advantage and pretend to be trans, they did decide that no man would ever pretend to be trans and gain access to women/girls/children. So bizarre.

If you have time I'd like to hear your thoughts and thank you again

mindproject · 06/01/2020 17:42

HerRoyal - we are not going to be eradicated. Who would do the cleaning and organise Christmas for a start?

midgebabe · 06/01/2020 17:42

Feminists don't enforce sex on you, it's just what you are. Ask an archiologist.

They just want that physical reality accepted and treated for what it is...be that getting suitable medical treatment such as a smear test or getting train doors designed so that the smaller woman can open it safely. Without any idea that it affects your personality, likes, habits, cognitiavte capability, what you choose to wear etc etc

You seem to be adding meaning to the words female and woman that don't exist in general usage but you have yet to articulate what that meaning is. Because you want the medical treatment but don't want to acknowledge why you need that treatment. Because really cervix havre is just an obscure way of saying woman.

Do you accept that biologically you are a mammal? That we divide mammals into Male and female based on their role in reproduction? Do you realise that pigs and cows are more aware of their sex than the fact that we call them pigs?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 06/01/2020 17:43

Very interested OP to your answer to JacquesHammer question at approximately 5pm.

HerRoyalFattyness · 06/01/2020 17:45

Who would do the cleaning and organise Christmas for a start?
The trans who think that's all there is to being a woman 🤷

While us actual women get told not to be so silly, there's no inequality because the trans are happy, so we should be.

Sittinonthefloor · 06/01/2020 17:45

Mind - mmmm, probably not important until it’s your daughter that loses a place in a sports team, your daughter that doesn’t have single sex loos at school, your mum who can’t ask for a female hcp, your neighbour who has to face males in a refuge...

SentimentalKiller · 06/01/2020 17:49

mindproject
That should be the case. We should be able to let people crack on until it falls out of vogue, like goths or punk
Unfortunately laws are being changed and children making life changing decisions leading to a loss of sexual function so it can't be ignored

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 06/01/2020 17:50

I only wish that were true mindproject. My experience - and I do mean experience - is that it is a real and pressing issue. I was threatened with doxxing for posting a mild objection to transwomen in female sport (and it was genuinely mild: civil, no inflammatory language, just a picture of a male bodied person with a brief factual explanation of the advantages of male physiology over female). My female colleague has been given an informal “talking-to” and warned it will be disciplinary action if she persists, because she raised an objection that our female toilets have become gender neutral without any kind of equality impact assessment having taken place. Women are losing their jobs for stating biological fact. Women are being sacked from Guiding UK for objecting to male teenagers being allowed to sleep in the same space as female teenagers without parents being informed. Safeguarding of children is going out of the window. A ten year old girl was sexually assaulted by a transwoman in a supermarket toilet. A part-time male crossdresser won a ”Woman in Industry” award. There is so much more I could list here!

It’s happening, it’s happening now and it will get worse before it gets better.

feelingverylazytoday · 06/01/2020 17:50

mindproject it might be a molehill for you, it isn't for women in refuges, psychiatric units, women's prisons, etc etc.
My daughter is an extremely vulnerable adult, I have to know that proper safeguards are in place when she leaves my care. I would like to 'just ignore it' but I'm afraid I can't do that.

Doubleraspberry · 06/01/2020 17:52

Women are still addressed as women. People with cervixes who aren't women are allowed onto a list for care for said cervix. Women without a cervix are allowed to exit off the automatic list by indication that they should be removed.

This is the last time I'm repeating the same thing.

I misunderstood your original posts as they suggested that the service users were addressed as people with cervixes: I’m really pleased that isn’t the case. But there is increasing pressure for charities and health authorities to use these type of descriptors, eg ‘menstruators’, which while including transmen also risk excluding those vulnerable people who do not understand that this may apply to them in a way that they would if the word ‘women’ was used. What do you think the solution is?
