I work in Gregg's ask me anything.

I make my own Tottenham cakes. They are really easy to make and absolutely delicious.

I dont frequent Greggs but i think their directors have done an amazing job. They have seen that they can no longer stagnate as a high street bakery and the move to the casual dining/cafe culture/drive through has been a great success.

We still do the Mexican chicken baguette in my shop. You can ask but they might not have the ingredients.

Completely random question but I'm really hoping you can answer !
I'm currently pregnant and one of my favourite things is your hot chocolate! I have tried watching to see how it's made and I see it comes as a powder. What is it and how do you guys make it taste so good?! I fell asleep drinking one this morning and am seriously considering reheating it 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🙈🙈🙈🙈

The hot chocolate is a powder we just pour it in the cup, put a bit of hot water in, stir and fill up with hot milk. It comes in unbranded and I'm guessing it's made by Gregg's like most other things so I can't help you on where to buy the powder sorry.

WHY do they only have two very basic veggie options (at my local one at least, cheese and onion or vegetable bake) and why do they introduce genuinely tasty veggie options (nacho cheese) only to get rid of them again??

My vegan friend told me your Belgian buns are vegan. After the success of the vegan sausage rolls I'm surprised your marketing team haven't picked up on this!

Pippi the nacho chilli bake is coming back in a couple of weeks. They like to change things around a bit with the special bake. They're not always gone forever. I didn't know that about the Belgian buns that is surprising they haven't jumped on that.

I am genuinely excited about that thank you!!!

What's the second best seller? Roger Whitested (or whatever the chief exec is called) was a bit shy about it this morning

Sorry living I only just noticed you had posted. The steak bake is made with diced cuts of prime beef.

I love a steak bake or the breakfast bake!! The coffee is very good too. I don’t go in very often but it’s really nice on occasion.

I looove the cheese and onion bake. I love the staff too, they are so down to earth and are no respecter of persons (I.e. they treat every customer the same, with respect!)

I think that it is a great establishment and long may it live!

My favourite is sausage bean and cheese. It's brilliant. Agree that the coffee is good.

Years ago though they used to do a sandwich with beef and fried crispy onions. Omg I can't tell you how good that was. I still think about it.
