What an amazing thread. Thank you OP, it's humbling to read and you are so incredibly strong. Flowers

@noarmaninopunani I'm so sorry.

Grobags, yes I'm a member. I find it too hard to look at right now though. I kept reading other people's stories and getting upset for them and I wasn't sure it was doing me any good

Thank you for answering. I admire both your abilities to stay so rational during such an emotional time to make arrangements for the future of the family unit.

Wow you sound so strong. Your children are very lucky to have such a practical, strong and loving mother.
Must have been so difficult for you.
Had your partner any symptoms before the tiredness and stomach pain? I hear this a lot and it's just frightening, you really don't know what's around the corner.

I wish you and your girls wellFlowers

Grobagsforever · 24/07/2018 23:36

@GiveMeAllTheGin8 - no he had no symptoms. The tiredness was the first thing, along with weight loss

Thank you for sharing, sorry for your loss. I stumbled across this thread last night, couldn't sleep, I spend a lot of sleepless nights on mumsnet. My husband died of cancer 6 months ago. This is my first time posting about it. Don't know anyone else in RL my age who is widowed.
